Bra (ブラ, Bura) is the daughter of Vegeta and Bulma from Universe 18, the main universe of Dragon Ball Multiverse. Unlike her counterpart from Universe 16, she cannot become a Super Saiyan and has no interest in fighting/combat.
Appearance[]
She has shares a similarity to the Bra from Dragon Ball GT as her outfit's top is nearly the same. Bra is a slender sixteen-year-old with purple hair which she normally keeps in a ponytail. She wears a red bralette, revealing her midriff and beige pants with a heart belt buckle. Despite being Vegeta's daughter, she bears little-to-no physical resemblance to him and almost looks completely like her mother’s side of the family.
Personality[]
Bra of Universe 18's personality is nearly identical to her Dragon Ball GT counterpart but with minor differences. Bra is a regular teenage Human girl, with her hobbies being shopping, looking at boys, and checking out the latest fashion. Bra has also shown a cool and confident character throughout the tournament, usually with her arms crossed. She also insulted her father, saying "she doesn't want to be all brawn and no brains like her father and Goku" when Vegeta said she could become just as strong as her counterpart if she bothered to train. When she spoke with her Universe 16 counterpart of their interests in life, Bra found her counterpart’s interests to be a waste.
Bra shows similarities to Vegeta in terms of personality, such as being easily annoyed by those around her, showing that Bra's personality is more like Vegeta's than Bulma's.
Bra is also shown to be incredibly brave, as she confronted a Super Saiyan 2 Bra who was under the control of Babidi, calling her out on her hypocrisy and proceeded to give her a harsh reality check, which left her evil counterpart stunned. She also was brave enough to kick away Nappa in order for her and Videl to escape.
After the Majin invasion, Bra's counterpart develops a newfound respect for her, now wishing to be as mentally strong as her one day.
Biography[]
Multiverse Tournament[]
Bra makes her first appearance in the first chapter, as she travels to Universe 0 to the Multiverse Tournament along with the rest of the Z-Fighters, acting as a spectator throughout the tournament.
First Round[]

After the death of Pan from Universe 16 at the hands of Bojack of Universe 6, Bra says she could never become a Super Saiyan like Pan. Vegeta tells her that she could if she actually bothered training, in which the latter makes a remark saying she doesn't want to be all brawn and no brains like her father, much to Vegeta's annoyance.
Third Round: Majin Invasion[]

Bra was one of the spectators held hostage by Cell. While Goten and Gohan hold off the Cell Juniors, Piccolo quickly grabs Bra and Videl and fly away to protect them; however, Piccolo is stopped by Cell. Bra, Videl and Goten are soon confronted by Nappa and Kakarotto. When they are stopped from escaping by Nappa, Bra kicks Nappa, causing a good amount of damage. Later on, Bra and Videl attempt to escape by flying, but Bra is grabbed by Nappa and thrown to the ground. This causes Videl to lash out at Nappa in anger, but is easily defeated by him. Bra attempts to stand up and fight him, but Nappa's foot is chopped off by Gohan of Universe 16. Bra is then taken hostage by Nappa and he demands that they give him senzu beans.
Gohan quickly grabs Bra and chops off Nappa's arm, then proceeds to mutilate him, killing him. She later witnesses Cell kill Universe 16 Videl and mutilate Piccolo. She approaches Gohan (who overwhelmed by pure rage, unleashed his full power and released a massive energy wave at Cell, that Destroyed his entire body, apparently ending the bio-android for good in a blacken crater that leads to outer space.), and apologizes while crying for not being able to save Videl from dying.
Bra sees that Cell survived the blast, due to his training to reinforce his nucleus and a wide attack isn't enough to kill him anymore. Cell turns his attention to Bra and says she has nothing to worry since he is on her side and also revealing to have kept allies without Babidi realizing and motivated the "Gohans", since Cell knows alone, he has no chance against Son Bra, who was Majinized by Babidi. Cell then orders for Bra to stay safe and alive, to if he sees Gohans lack conviction, he will motivate them by throwing her in the middle of the melee, leaving Bra horrified.
Bra was later seen taking cover from the massive explosion caused accidentally by Gohan of Universe 18, who punched Majin Bra's right ki blast after she teleport in front of Babidi to protect him, resulting in the death of all of the spectators.
Reality Check[]
Bra's harsh words overwhelm her counterpart of Universe 16
"Madam The Great Saiyan, she can't cope, she just can't? Do you think that YOU, you have the right to use 'oh no, this trauma, it's too much for me!' excuse? You want to be NUMBER ONE IN THE UNIVERSE? Then you have to pass all your trials, even those in your head, even unfair, even the hardest. Nothing can be too much for you, because otherwise you can't be not even closely be, the real ultimate, number one! You're just someone strong who LETS HERSELF GET CARRIED ALONG!!" |
After Bra of Universe 16 brutally punches Gohan of Universe 18 in the face, Bra of Universe 18 catches Gohan before he falls as she sorrowfly encourages him not to give up, which her counterpart mocks her for. After the Majin kills the Great Kaioshin and proclaims her complete control over her power, her counterpart angrily screams that she is worthless. Her counterpart teleports in front of her and calls her out on being a weakling that is unable to transform. Bra of Universe 18 retorts that her soul and consiousness is clean, going further to say that she Majins should get her psychotic mind together before acting tough. As her counterpart recalls the disappointed words of her victims, she suffers a mental breakdown and falls to her knees as Bra tells her that her soul must be black in order to be enslaved by Babidi. The Majin pitifully screams that everything is not so simple and what she's been through is unthinkable. While Bra of Universe 18 agrees that she indeed doesn't know what happened, but Bra of Universe 16 cannot use those traumas as an excuse and that she must overcome all challenges, mental, physical and emotional in order to be the true number one warrior in the universe while also calling her passive. This triggers Bra of Universe 16's anger, causing her to explode in rage and disintegrating the Majin symbol on her forehead before realizing in horror what she has done.
Bra earns the respect of her counterpart
Bra soon realizes that everyone that was teleported away from the arena has finally returned while her counterpart experiences extreme guilt and self-hatred. Vegeta walks up to his daughter, asking her where the enemies are, and Bra informs him that all of them have been defeated until she remembers that Babidi is still alive, but her counterpart explains how he must have died due to lack of oxygen in space where she left him.
After Vegetto confronts his daughter and attempts to kill her for her actions, Bra comes to her defense, saying that she managed to break free from Babidi's control and that she's able to control Super Saiyan 2 perfectly. After Bra of Universe 16 reveals her imperfections to everyone and how she will not allow her negative emotions overtake her again, she shows great respect to her counterpart for her superior mental strength and bravery, delcaring to be as mentally strong as her one day.
Power & Abilities[]
Bra from the Dragon Ball Multiverse manga is nearly identical to her Dragon Ball GT counterpart. They both have no interest in training, and prefer shopping rather than training. It is unknown if she has the ability to fly, since her canon counterpart was shown flying when under the control of Baby. She cannot turn into a Super Saiyan, however Vegeta did mention that she could if she actually bothered training. Due to being half-Saiyan, Bra is very strong, as she is strong enough to kick Nappa and cause a good deal of damage.

Salagir has stated that Bra is very strong and has the potential to destroy the world. And despite the fact that Vegeta never pushed her to train or she never cared about fighting, but if the Earth was in danger and was the only hope, she could potentially reach Super Saiyan 2 or Super Saiyan 3 levels if necessary.[1] It is very possible she casually walks around with a power level of 20,000.[2] He also believes that Bra has a power level of one million.
She is much stronger than Videl, who herself is stronger than Chi-Chi.[3]
Trivia[]
- As a member of the Brief family, Bra's name is an allusion to an undergarment, with Bra's name being another name for brassiere.
- Despite Bra's most prominent appearance being in Dragon Ball GT, Salagir liked the outfit she wore in the series; therefore, he was inspired by it while designing Bra for Dragon Ball Multiverse.
- Bra seems to have feelings for Uub. Those feelings seem to be mutual with Uub also; however, due to Vegeta's disapproval, their relationship may not progress.
- In the French translation of the Dragon Ball Multiverse manga, Bra refers to Goku as "Son", which is possibly a reference to Bulma calling Goku "Son-kun" in the Japanese dub.
- In the character designs, Bra is shown as a Super Saiyan, despite never obtaining the transformation in the manga or novel. On his personal Deviantart account, Asura has drawn Bra in the Super Saiyan state.
