    — Cell, to Gohan, in "The warrior who used to run amok"

Cell (セル, Seru) is the ultimate creation of the maniacal Red Ribbon Army scientist Dr. Gero, a Bio-Android constructed from the DNA of Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Freeza, King Cold and several other people. After self-destructing and regenerating, Vegeta did not assist Gohan in his struggle with Cell, therefore allowing Cell to kill Gohan and massacre everyone else. Cell would later travel the universe causing terror in his wake along with his children.[1]

When he was possessed by Babidi of Universe 11, Cell began to secretly work against him.[2] And once his fourth round battle begun, Cell was killed by Vegeta during their duel, thus ending Cell's role in the story until further notice.[3]

    Appearance[]

Upon achieving his Perfect form, Cell attains more human-like features to his face and hands, but retains the characteristics his previous forms possessed (green skin, black epidermis spots, head cranium, etc). Unlike his Semi-Perfect form, Cell regains his wings which are now longer and colored black compared to his Imperfect version. Likewise, Cell's feet are highly similar to his Semi-Perfect form, but is far more simpler design wise and is pure yellow. Uniquely, Cell has pink eyes instead of the previous blue and the pink reptilian slits of his previous forms. When close to his full power, a blazing golden aura with blue bio-electricity is seen on him.[4]

Upon becoming a Majinized soldier for Babidi, Cell has the Majin insignia on his heads bio-dome and several pulsating veins on his flesh.[5]

When still in his monstrous Imperfect form, Cell was a bipedal, insect-like humanoid that was terrifying to behold. Possessing three talon feet, wings, and a head cranium where the horns are slanted, Cell's face is far different compared to his Perfect form. Cell has light pink eyes with black slit pupils that gives him a demonic visage. His mouth is a strange orange beak with no discernible nose on his face. Lastly his tail is always sticking out, which can be used for absorption or for strangulation.[6]

    Personality[]

Cell is extremely merciless; he will strike down his own offspring in order to achieve victory, though he sometimes shows a parental attitude towards his offspring, even referring them as his 'children'. Like his mainstream counterpart, Cell has the mixed personalities of his genetic materials; Freeza's polite mannerisms and twisted humor, Vegeta's pride and arrogance, Piccolo's calmness and cunning, King Cold's vanity, and Goku's laid-back nature. He also seems to have developed a grudging sense of humility as during his fight with Bojack, he reflects about how proud he had been of his former power, but now he finds there are people just as strong or stronger than his younger self competing in the tournament.

During the Cell Games 27 years ago, Cell was in complete disbelief that Gohan could have easily overwhelmed his Perfect power. Despite realizing his own fallacies he previously mocked Vegeta and Trunks for, he becomes fearful for his life when he reverts to his Semi-Perfect state, knowing many people could now kill him. And upon deciding to blow up, Cell believed his death would be beautiful since he lived his dream to have the perfect body, defeat Goku, Gohan who surpassed him, and enjoyed the terror he has inspired.[7]

According to Cell, he finds 'promising opponents' consisting of those from Universe 16 and 18. As for Freeza from Universe 8, he was partially interesting while Universe 12 (Trunks and Android 16), Universe 14 (Androids 17 and 18), Bojack from Universe 6, and Fat Buu from Universe 11 all caught his attention during the first round.[8]

Cell has shown complete disgust at the eating habits displayed by Universe 16 and 18.[9]

Initially Cell greatly loathed his imperfections before absorbing any Androids. While his genetic code was already predisposition to certain instincts and desires, he will finally gain true autonomy once he reached perfection. That way he wouldn't be locked to only defeating a single warrior, which was Son Goku.[10] However deep down Cell still hungers for more power, which became quite prevalent when Android 18 was called to fight Yamcha. Immediately Cell wished he could have reabsorbed the Androids back in his universe, but his damaged body back then prevented him and damns Dr. Gero's name for not predicting this scenario so that he could reabsorb them once more through his perfect body to acquire more power.[11] And as the battle progresses, Cell still wishes that Dr. Gero planned this so that he could reabsorb the androids, especially Yamcha.[12] These thoughts became so prevalent that Cell while dreaming absorbs them all to acquire even greater strength like how he envisions himself.[13] Upon witnessing Arale battling against Android 18, Cell once again cursed Dr. Gero's name and wished he could absorb her so that he could become 'more than perfect' and be the strongest fighter past, present, or future.[14] Ultimately Cell believes that his quest in life is to always become more perfect, which means to get stronger by any means necessary.[10]

The dynamics between Cell and Gohan is a curious one, as both have killed the other in their respective universes. Seeing Gohan's maximum potential with his mystic powers, Cell seemed very eager to challenge his arch-enemy a second time, and has once again reacquired a fixation on Gohan. This fixation proves so strong that he nonchalantly dismissed Bra's attempt to challenge him instead, despite the fact that she is superior to Gohan in power.

Cell has also developed a unique fixation on Vegetto as well. Upon seeing Vegetto's power being used against Broly, Cell became highly alarmed by his might and realized his inferiority to the fused Saiyan. This fixation based on comparison became even more apparent when Cell was relieved that Vegetto lost his match against XXI, thus beginning to damn himself for feeling like a coward from his sense of relief. Likewise, Vegetto has insulted Cell multiple times throughout the tournament (when Cell Jr. died against Gast Carcolh, when both Cell Jr.'s were revived, when Cell won against Tapion, etc) but still respects and considers Cell to be among the strongest in the entire tournament.

Buu believes that Cell is the most original creature in the entire tournament and would like to become great friends if they weren't opponents.[15] This was due to Cell's method of replacing his son to have a stronger offspring to battle Gast Carcolh.

After falling under Babidi's control, Cell becomes loyal to the wizard, calling him his master. However, unlike many of the other Majins who seem to be acting under Babidi's orders, Cell shows a far greater degree of self-control much like Majin Vegeta did years before. This is shown by how he acted on his own accord when taking Universe 16 and 18 hostage without Babidi's knowledge. Cell still retains his fixation on Gohan, becoming elated at having to fight him after being repeatedly denied the chance previously.

    History[]

    Creation and Time Travel[]

    Cell Ambush

Cell killing Trunks before going back in time

Dr. Gero, a human scientist on Earth devoted his entire life to progress. But when Goku ruined his plans by destroying the Red Ribbon Army, eventually Cell was 'born' who had the genetics of the most powerful and skilled warriors in the universe. Having the purpose of killing Goku and compiled with the potential to rival vile sorcerers or even the gods themselves, though will need to absorb Androids 17 and 18 to become 'Perfect'.[10] And thanks to the small robot collecting the dna of powerful warriors, Cell was blessed to use the abilities and techniques they possessed.[16]

In Age 788 (Universe like '15'), Cell has already awaken and is searching for the Androids. After searching for them for a long time, he concludes they where destroyed (In fact they where deactivated by Trunks after his adventures in 'U11'). He kills Trunks and takes his time machine to go to Age 763 (Universe 17).[6][17][18]

    Fearful Victory: Rebirth and Regeneration[]

    CH24-Cellgohan2-big

    Cell being Overwhelmed

With Gohan being too much for him to handle, Cell was outclassed from a mere few blows and realized he made the same mistake as Vegeta by allowing his opponent to excel. With his Kamehameha failing him, Cell uses his 'Power-Weighted' form at the cost of losing speed despite making the same mistake as Trunks prior to his own Cell Games. But it was all pointless, receiving so much damage from Gohan that he vomited out Android 18. Now in a pool of his own digestive fluids, Cell revers back to his 'Semi-Perfect' form, afraid that even without Goku or Gohan being there, a few others now had the power to easily kill him now.[7]

    Cell Boom

    Cell about to explode

When Gohan told him it was over, making Cell vow that he will pay, Cell starts his self-explosion procedure and wishing to take the entire planet with him. As Gohan begins to despair with only ten seconds left, Goku arrives and teleports them both to King Kaio's planet, which they all died from his subsequent explosion. But managing to live through his own self destruction, Cell regenerates and attains a level of power greater than ever before.[7]

    Cell Power

    Cell returning stronger than ever

Having survived and returning back thanks to his acquisition of the instant transmission technique, Cell fires a powerful Death Beam that then kills Trunks. Showing his brand new "Super Perfect Form" that was received thanks to a Zenkai and his own cells remembrance of this fighting forms power, Gohan prepares to face Cell again once more. But due to a explosion of anger at seeing his own sons demise, Vegeta tries to attack Cell, but is quickly swept aside. Planning to kill Vegeta with a energy blast, Gohan intervenes and takes the attack instead, sacrificing his left arm in the process. As Gohan gets back up in pain, Cell prepares to end them all and prepares his Solar Kamehameha to end it all. Proclaiming he has the power to destroy the entire solar system, Cell witnesses Gohan powering up and charging his own Kamehameha.[7]

When both released their attacks on May 26, Age 767 on Earth, they clashed that made the entire Earth to tremble. Quickly gaining advantage as Gohan was losing both resolve and the energy to maintain his Super Saiyan 2 form,[7][19] Gohan soon gave up, which Cell mocks him before engulfing him during the Kamehameha struggle, thus allowing the monster to win the struggle and kill Gohan.[20] Standing over a massive crater that serves as Gohan's grave, Cell proclaims he is tired to the grieving warriors remaining.[21]

    Fearful Victory: Ultimate Massacre[]

    Cell Victory

    Cell after killing Vegeta

Seeing Vegeta getting up and becoming a Super Saiyan, Cell grins as the others rise up to challenge him.[22] With his aura still blazing around him, Cell sees Tien creating his attack as Yamcha and Kulilin prepare their Kamehameha's.[23] Cell then sees Piccolo charging up his signature Special Beam Cannon.[24] Seeing each fighters respective blast heading towards him, Cell calmly places two fingers to his forehead.[25] Dodging the attacks via instant transmission, Cell appears behind Vegeta and charges a lethal energy blast.[26] Blasting through Vegeta that immediately kills him, Cell is delighted by it as the others despair in the moment.[27] Asking who wants to be next, Cell instantly appears behind Piccolo, hand ready to chop him in half.[28] Cell then successfully slices Piccolo, causing others to despair even further.[29] About to kill Piccolo by preparing a mighty energy blast, Cell casually stops Kulilin's Kienzan with the same hand.[30] Deflecting it with gleeful abandon, it cuts through and kills Tien, causing Kulilin to rage as Yamcha rushes in to avenge his friend.[31] Appearing behind Yamcha, Cell literally beats Yamcha to death, followed by him standing over his corpse.[32] Beyond enraged, Kulilin proceeds to fire several energy blasts at Cell.[33] Easily evading it thanks to his superior speed, Cell grabs the back of Kulilin's shirt before flying up to space.[34] Now in the vacuum, Cell mocks Kulilin as the human dies from asphyxiation.[35]

Amused by the fight, Cell notes that all that left is to massacre everyone on Earth. Teleporting above a street, Cell proclaims he will not have all the fun to himself as he begins to spawn out several Cell Jr.'s.[36] Earth quickly became Cell and his children's playground, becoming the first of many planets to be destroyed while Trunks never returned back to Universe 14, the 'Universe' he originated from thanks to his premature death.[37]

    Terrorizing the Universe[]

    Screen Shot 2017-11-15 at 4.56

Cell and his Jrs. kill the Bojack gang

Shortly after his victory over the Z-Fighters, Cell encountered Bojack and his Galaxy Soldiers, who Cell had unwittingly freed from their prison when he destroyed King Kaio's planet. Bojack's gang came to earth, following the energy signature left from Cell's battle with Gohan. However, Cell easily killed the invaders, and continued his rampage across the universe.[38]

Eventually Cell discovers Planet Helior, allowing him to butcher not only the entire planet, but every ultra armor wearer from existence.[39]

From Age 767 to 794 (27 years), Cell had systematically damaged his universe, which resulted in the deaths of hundreds of civilizations and "zillions" of people to spread the terror of his perfect power. The Vargas later find his universe and added him and one of his Cell Juniors to the tournament.

Prior to Universe 18 arriving to the tournament, Cell was informed by Gohan from Universe 16 that he killed his counterpart.[40]

    Multiverse Tournament[]

First Round: A Really Strange Tournament[]

When the contestants from Universe 18 arrive, they are all shocked to see Cell besides them. After muttering "you again" to them (since there are identical versions of them in Universe 16), Cell simply ignores them in favor of watching the tournament grounds.[41]

First Round: Lots of Old Foes Here[]

    Cell Amused

    Cell smirking at Gohan

Cell continues to ignore Goku and Piccolo despite them debating about his backstory.[42] When Gohan begins to talk about the "dangers" around them after Goku begins to worry about Broly, Cell merely smiles at Gohan's disgusted look.[43]

First Round: Uub and Buu get the Honors![]

    Cell and Gohan

    Cell facing Gohan

When Android 17 manages to win against I'K'L due to the latter not being born yet, South Kaioshin then easily defeats Butta in one blow. After these fights, both Goten and Goku became curious on how Cell won and if he achieved his 'Super Perfect Form'. When arriving near Cell and ask how he won, Cell smugly doesn't give a straight answer. But when Gohan arrives and asks Cell what happened to him, they have a standoff before Cell expresses how much Gohan infuriated him and refused to show his true power. When Gohan tells Cell that he killed him in his universe, Cell notes that the Gohan from Universe 16 said the same thing and mentally told himself to watch out for this Gohan as well. Cell then tells Gohan that he was disappointed in him since no matter what he did, the boy refused to use his full power. Managing to hold back his rising rage and asking Cell if he knows Bojack, the bio-android answers that he never heard of him. When Goku asks Cell on what he did after killing them, he answers that he amusingly watching his children destroying the Earth. Taken back by Cell's attitude, the members left Cell alone without saying another word.[40] Quickly after the members of Universe 18 begin to think that Cell was lying to them.[44]

After Majin Buu defeated Bujin and Gohan talked to Trunks and accidentally ended up in Universe 16 with his alternative wife, Cell watches Videl cross through his universes balcony without moving a muscle.[45]

First Round: Two Giants Face to Face[]

"Same for you. In fact, you're probably the strongest fighter I ever had the chance to meet."
    — Cell talking to Dabra, in "Two Giants Face-to-Face"

Upon being called to battle Dabra from Universe 11, Cell is pleased to be called on at last.[46] Elated to finally fight since he believes that the fights have been way too boring, despite there being many promising adversaries, he quickly lands on the arena a little after Dabra.[47] The Demon King reveals his intentions of showing the world a real demon's worth, which makes Cell smile in anticipation. Rushing at full speed, Dabra lands a solid left elbow to Cell's face, forcing him to crash on his back as Dabra rises.[48] Now high enough, Dabra releases a powerful Evil Impulse directly at Cell, which created a massive explosion.[49] When the dust finally cleared, Cell was completely unharmed, noting how "interesting" it is before rushing at Dabra to giving him a gut-clenching knee strike. This quickly makes Dabra very pissed at Cell, looking at the bio-android with rage.[50] Dabra does a spring flip off of Cell's head cranium and fires many ki blasts at his back, causing Cell to curse as he gets attacked.[51] When the smoke clears, Dabra is horrified to see Cell virtually unscathed, though his hands are still smoldering from blocking the energy attacks as he congratulates the strength behind those attacks. When Dabra nervously admits that Cell is strong and has good reflexes, Cell says the same thing about Dabra, and even adds in that Dabra is probably the strongest fighter he has ever fought. Quickly Dabra begins to boast that he is the strongest since he is the lord of the dark kingdom of demons.[52]

    Cell Solar Flare

    Cell about to use Taiyoken

Summoning his power, Dabra fires his Evil Flame technique straight at Cell.[53] Amused, the tactful bio-android uses his Perfect Barrier to block the attack. Gloating over at Dabra's failure to harm him with a simple smirk, Dabra rushes in.[54] Using a double haymaker to disrupt and rupture the barrier, though it cost the demon king much of his energy as Cell mocks him for it. Wanting to capitalize on Dabra's weariness, Cell tells Dabra to "dodge this" and stretches a finger at him.[55] Immediately firing his Barrage Death Beam technique, which horrifies Freeza as Dabra struggles to dodge them all, Cell notes that this is too easy.[56] Placing his fingers to his head, Cell utilizes his Taiyoken which blinded most people around the tournament stadium, though Dabra manages to block the light, evade the death beams, and disappear, alarming Cell.[57]

Dabra, using his Afterimage Strike to appear behind a stunned Cell uses his Magic Materialization technique to create his favored sword. Yelling with ill intentions, Dabra manged to horizontally cut through half of Cell's body from behind.[58] As the bio-android appears to be completely stunned, Dabra attempts to continue his Darkness Sword Attack while screaming "die", but is prevented to continue thanks to Cell holding onto his blade. After sneeringly asking Dabra if he is only capable of attacking from behind, Cell removes the blade out of him.[59] Maneuvering himself to face Dabra from the front while noting that he cannot die like this, Cell confidently snaps Dabra's blade in two. After Dabra mocks Cell for wishing to continue due to already being half-way dead because of his injuries, Cell cruelly smiles to himself and initiates his regeneration powers to fix himself whole. Flexing his new arm and asking Dabra a rhetorical question, Dabra remained horrified by the new predicament he was in.[60]

First Round: Pan's first fight to the Death[]

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY PERFECT BODY?!"
"YOU'RE DONE FOR, INSECT! I'VE WON!"
    — Cell and Dabra, in "Pan's first fight to the death!"

Cell after being hit by Dabra's stone spit

As Dabra remains transfixed since Cell should be heavily injured, Cell swiftly fires his Special Beam Cannon at Dabra, which drilled right through his chest and causing the demon king to spill out large amounts of blood.[61] On the brink of collapsing into unconsciousness, Dabra desperately uses his Stone Spit on Cell, which hit the bio-androids left thigh which slowly encases the android in stone. Horrified on what is happening to his perfect body, Cell hears Dabra telling him that he is done for.[62] Brutally thinking fast as more of his body becomes stone, Cell smiles before using his arms to rip his head clean off from his stony chest. Falling, his entire body shatters upon hitting the arena as Cell's head bounces around while blood drips from his mouth and decapitated neck.[63] Cell then painfully laughs to himself when Dabra asked if he committed suicide. In one fell swoop, Cell completely regenerates his entire body from the neck down as Dabra collapses on the arena, defeated.[64]

    CellDabra1711

    Cell after nearly killing Dabra

After getting up and walking towards Dabra's prone body, Cell congratulates the demon king final efforts, though it ultimately proved futile. While being declared the winner of the match while walking back to his universe's balcony, Cell overhears Universe 16's Gohan and Piccolo that he is "weaker" compared to his return from his failed suicide. Overjoyed that he has perfectly managed to contain his power at the level during the beginning of his Cell Games, Cell is eager to show them what he can do once they fight him now. But once that thought came to Cell's mind, the bio-android begins to wonder how did Gohan beat him if his failed suicide did occur, since Cell believes that he was far more superior to the young Saiyan. Cell then begins to reminiscent his flawless victory against the Z-Fighters all those years ago at the Cell Games.[65]

    Cell and Gast

    Cell and Gast watching Gohan

Enraged upon seeing Bojack killing Pan, Cell bears witness to seeing Son Bra angrily transforming into a Super Saiyan. Cell, initially shocked to see Pan ascend, is once again shocked to see Bra change as well, and seemed no weaker than what Pan was, perhaps even greater than Bojack himself. When Universe 16's Gohan powers up to his absolute max to submit Bra via intimidation, Cell was completely alarmed by Gohan's incredible abilities, along with the likes of Gast Carcolh and Zen Buu.[66][67] He then sees Bra power down before Gohan's superior willpower, rage, and power.[68]

First Round: The Lunch Break we've all waited for[]

During the Lunch Break, Cell does not eat anything, simply standing still and watching everybody else feast along with his son.[69]

Once Broly was released and finished powering up, Cell nonchalantly watches Broly fire many ki blasts around his vicinity, though two Gohan's reflect many of them away around his area due to his sheer proximity with Universe 16 and 18.[70] As more rain down, Cell is not worried in the slightest as Cell Jr. is shocked from the spectacle.[71]

    First Round: Vegetto's Last Resources[]

When the aftermath passes from Vegetto and Broly colliding their signature techniques together, Cell nervously says "impossible", as his Cell Jr. is embedded into the wall.[72] When Broly was officially defeated by Vegetto, Cell laments that Vegetto is far stronger than him, but vows to never give up since his name is "Perfect Cell".[73]

First Round: What's left of a Cyborg without Humanity[]

As many people around him were beginning to question their resolve to continue participating in the tournament after seeing Vegetto's fight, Cell notes that many good things can still happen till the finale. Cell then says that he trusts his Saiyan cells that his next fights will only be better, and hopes that Goku and Vegeta will give him a challenge since he sure needs it to help evolve even further in strength.[74]

When Universe 16 fighters arrive back from their fight with Zen Buu, Cell mentally takes note that he can fight anyone far away from the arena since nobody will see a thing.[75]

First Round: The Taste of Revenge[]

When Bra violently kills Zangya in their match, Cell and his Jr watch a Namekian healer declare she is dead within their balcony space.[76]

First Round: Saiyans, Nameks, and other Demons[]

When Cell Jr. was called to fight against Gast Carcolh from Universe 7, Cell sternly tells a nearby Vargas that he needs a minute in order to increase his son's strength to compete against his stronger opponent. Cell then walked with his happy son inside of their apartment and closes the door.[77] Cell mentally notes with pleasure that the walls are soundproof while their ki auras can no longer be sensed, thus nobody can sense them and vice versa. When his excited son loudly asks how he will be made stronger, Cell brutally yet swiftly executes his son via the Dirty Fireworks technique before attempting to produce another son.[78]

    Cell Ashamed

    Cell Disappointed in his son

As the new junior adjusts to his new life, a slightly fatigued Cell delightfully says that he gave this Cell Jr. the most amount of power he could. After walking out of the apartment with his new son, A few contestants (mainly Vegetto, U16 Gohan, and East Kaioshin) immediately noticed this switcheroo as Cell Jr. recklessly rushes after Gast Carcolh.[79] When Cell Junior immediately attacks Gast Carcolh before he could enter the ring, Cell is in utter dismay and facepalms himself as his son faces disqualification for attacking before the match can truly begin.[80] The moment when his son powered up, Cell gave a smile to Goku when he and others figured out he was in fact truly hiding his real power all along.[81] When the match restarts thanks in part to Gast Carcolh wanting to fight, Cell silently watches the match until his son dies against Gast Carcolh. With his own cover blown now about his progress in strength (mainly discovered by U18 Vegeta and Goku), Vegetto cheekily taunts a silently fuming Cell, saying that his son will be revived after the tournament, unless he hatched a dozen before that one.[82]

With the first round officially over and with many universes intermingling with each other, Cell was approached by a bored Buu who wanted to sarcastically congratulate him on making his strongest Junior yet. Unphased though suspicious, Cell refused to talk although mentally noted that the djinn was dangerous and has a regeneration superior to his own. With the discussion going nowhere, Buu eventually leaves. Later on when dinner was being served, Goku asks Cell if he would like to join.Cell completely ignored him.[83]

    A Good Nights Sleep[]

Once it became evening, Cell perfectly remains right in front of his apartment inside of his universe's balcony all night long, as noted by Piccolo when morning arrived.[84]

Second Round: Warrior who used to Run Amok[]

    Cell's power against Bojack

"Really, I had been proud of my power during the Cell Games, and now people just as strong come one after the other to fight me... It was the good old days, I had some challenges back then... Today, I am incomparably... stronger!"
    — Cell, in "The warrior who used to run amok"

Smirking upon finally being called to fight against Bojack of Universe 6, Cell uses Pan's death at Bojack's hands in the previous round as a bargaining chip. The conditions are that if Gohan wants Cell to make Bojack suffer at his behest, the two will have a sparring match very far away, reminiscent of what happened 27 years ago.[85] Gohan ultimately refused Cell's offer, knowing his daughter will come back stronger while revenge doesn't interest him.[86] Bra immediately cut in, having a few suggestions for Cell though Gohan quickly silences her. Not liking Gohan's reply since he was the only person to push Cell while being able to kill him in Universe 16, he wanted the opportunity to avenge his counterparts. Still wishing to find who was superior between the two, Cell convinced himself that Gohan does wish to challenge him, and whether or not he consents, Cell plans to manipulate things to make their match a reality. About to go back to the ring, Bra tells Cell that they are not fooled by his concealed power and Gohan way more powerful compared to his tournament, Amused, Cell admits to his bluff since it was all a game to him. And still seeing Gohan smiling, Cell convinces himself even more that the Saiyan hybrid wants to fight and tries to tell him how how great their match will be, even including Vegetto into the conversation, though the fused Saiyan is barely paying attention.[87]

Not losing his smirk to the smiling Gohan, Cell flies to the ring while mentally noting that they have to settle their score since each one has killed the other. Landing on the ring, Bojack mocks him before powering up his aura. Amused, Cell notes that people just as strong as his Cell Games era are appearing one after another.[86] Enthusiastically yelling to Bojack that he is incomparably stronger since then, he powers up so much that it slightly pushes Bojack back. Goku notes to Vegeta that Cell is far stronger that when he fought Gohan, something Vegeta agrees with.[4]

Easily evading Bojack's charging punch and mocking him from behind, Cell tanks a powerful full-energy wave at point blank range.[88] Completely unfazed and asks Bojack if that was it, the pirate rushes in to deliver more punches. Yet Cell easily dodges them all, noting how sloppy they are.[89] Enraged and wanting Cell to shut up, Cell tells him to make him be quiet while catching his fist. Without hesitation Cell dominates Bojack with a single punch in the gut, making him puke copious amounts of blood and saliva.[90] Nearly incapacitated, but refusing to give up, Bojack desperately uses his energy bond threads to ensnare Cell.[91] When Bojack tells Cell that he can no longer move, Cell arrogantly tells him that he cannot either, further enraging Bojack and promising to cut the bio-android into pieces. Not losing his smirk, Cell uses his eye lasers to strike Bojack dead in the chest, also freeing him from the threads.[92] Bojack brutally hits the spectator force field before landing into the area of Universe 16, perfectly calculated by Cell on purpose to see Universe 16's Gohan's mystic powers or reaction.[87][93] But when Gohan refuses to finish Bojack off, Bojack attempts to get up and speak, but Cell falls down from the great Heavens and performs a knee drop onto Bojack's spine, eliciting a great cry from the pirate.[94] With Bojack declared dead and Cell claiming the victory, Cell commented on Bojack being too 'fragile' and tells Gohan to help him clean up the mess.[95]

About to go back to his own space, Bra, still in her Super Saiyan state whom wanted to kill Bojack herself, tries to get into a fight with Cell, only to be dismissed by the bio-Android nonchalantly since he believes she is nothing due to her being a 'fragile little girl' who would ultimately be a waste of his time. Before Bra could act on impulse, Vegetto restrains her as Cell walks away.[87]

Second Round: The Invincible Gag Manga[]

Like many others, Cell was visibly shocked when Vegetto lost to XXI.[96] Sweating despite feeling relieved, Cell feels like a coward despite his Saiyan genetics wanting a challenge, making the contradictions unbearable.[97]

    Second Round: XXI[]

When Majin Buu of Universe 4 went on a rampage, attempting to restrain everyone in the tournament to his whim, Cell was able to keep the 'Buu goo' at bay by powering up his blazing aura.[98] Still managing to barely fight against Buu's goo while everybody else is getting entrapped, Buu decides to create his first tournament match which would be between Cell and Gohan from Universe 16. Releasing Gohan from his trap while removing Cold and Baddack from the ring, Buu places Cell on the ring opposite to where Gohan is at. Believing himself to be a perfect fighter and being able to have his incredible rematch with Gohan, Cell hears Buu's conditions on that Gohan's family would be killed if he doesn't fight hard and Cell himself would be regressed into his Imperfect form forcibly if Gohan manages to escape. Finding the threat menacing, Cell realized this was a fight he couldn't avoid.[99]

While refusing to potentially lose his 'perfection' forever to some Djinn, Cell smiles at the chance to fight Gohan before igniting his aura, blazing with ferocious bio-electricity. When Gohan powers up a white aura and gets into a defensive stance, Buu commanded them to fight. Charging and colliding their fists that shook the entire asteroid from their immense power and nearly caving in the shields, both engaged in a high intensity brawl. As many spectators failed to witness them, Cell began to grow annoyed that he wasn't able to land any decisive blows on Gohan. Managing to be Gohan's equal while growing excited at the challenge, Cell fired a Kamehameha at Gohan, which the half-Saiyan managed to deflect without too much difficulty. Provoking Gohan, Cell created four new sons instantly, each being far stronger than the countperparts Gohan killed years ago at the Cell Games. With Gohan getting ready, he manages to kill two before Bra, already a Super Saiyan, arrives and kills the other two. Vegeta from Universe 13 also arrives, clad in his Super Saiyan 2 state.[10]

Cell, listening to Gohan, Bra, Vegeta, and Zen Buu talk briefly and chuckling at the arguments taking place, he looks at Vegeta. Extending a hand at Vegeta and offering him to join his side against the Saiyan hybrids and Buu while telling him he shall be second to the bio-android only, Vegeta refused before going after Buu. When Vegeta gets incapacitated by Buu and Gohan decides to help him, Cell attempts to ambush Gohan from behind.Bra, intercepting the blow, tries to kick Cell's chin but he manages to evade it. However Cell is then caught by Bra from behind who then rips his wings off. Screaming in pain and falling to one knee, Cell quickly retreats while avoiding avoiding another blow that might have severed his spine had he not taken to the sky for safety. When he looked into Bra's eyes, she gave him a smug smile.[10]

However, Gast Carcolh saves everyone by using a technique that causes all of Buu's constituents to be gathered together into a ball, in which Buu is trapped.[100]

Though unwritten, Cell eventually regenerates and heads back to his universe's balcony to witness the continuation of Baddack's battle against King Cold.

Second Round: Fight of the Fathers[]

Cell is seen in his balcony watching Baddack being hurled towards Universe 18 by King Cold's attack.[101] When the event ends thanks to Goku's intervention, Cell notes in a dismissive tone that Cold just throws his trash wherever, making Vegetto sweat comically and call Cell out on it.[102] However moments earlier Cell noted that Vegeta's inaction was not a sign of weakness to allow Goku to handle it. If anything it just fueled Cell's desire to face Vegeta later on.[103]

Upon seeing the son killed by Gast now revived underneath Dr. Raichi, Cell was slightly curious to see only one Junior in the ring since he killed his original in the first round. Cell then begins to wonders that what happens inside of the apartments is truly private after all.Still having a neutral expression as his son prepared to battle a now injured Vegeta, the counterpart from Universe 18 begins to grow excited with Cell's potential growth.[104]

    Second Round: Enemies Forever[]

As the battle between Vegeta and Dr. Raichi was underway with Vegeta slaughtering the ghost warrior of King Cold, Cell was chuckling since he was already aware of the frost demons potential for evolution. Believing that further transformations could be achieved, he alone has no need for them since he already at the height of perfection with his current body. After Vegeta destroyed the ghost warriors, his counterpart from Universe 18 believed that Cell looked bored, not moving a inch though the Saiyan prince wished to fight against the bio-android[105]

Second Round: Corruption of the Absolute Evil[]

As the battle between Vegeta and Cell Jr. got so heated to the point that Vegeta's Big Bang Attack was deflected to his balcony, Cell, annoyed, grabbed the attack and reduced it into nothingness. Afterwards Cell became slightly surprised that Dr. Raichi could reproduce the exact image and power of his deceased offspring, making the bio-android believe that he was truly resourceful.[106] Cell is later seen quietly watching the match against Vegeta and Dr. Raichi, with the latter having just acquired Super Saiyan 3.[107] When his son was killed by Vegeta via decapitation, the body vanishes before it can crash into the balcony of Universe 17, though Cell's reaction remains unwritten.[106]

Cell was completely motionless when the Vargas announced their desire to use the Dragon Balls to revive those that died before dinner commences. And when Porunga was summoned, Cell gave no reaction since he was already used to such a occasion.[108]

    Buu's Escapades[]

With both of his children revived, Vegetto begins to mock Cell and asks him why he has two kids, making Cell to refuse answering.[109] Trying to hide his rage, Cell dislikes the fact that Porunga was able to resurrect his first son while just starting to think the apartments could hide almost anything. When dinner was underway, Cell immersed himself in deep meditation as his two sons played together.[108]

When the artificial light was lowered to prepare for sleep, Cell remains in place as his sons continued to play together. Watching the corridor of Universe 3, Cell considers Tapion to be no true threat though Hildegan may prove to be interesting. Believing he will win without difficulty, Cell wants to sharpen his reflexes to prepare for his future grand match against Vegeta. Wishing to improve again and again until he was the strongest and most perfect entity in the entire tournament.[110] Upon seeing Dabra leaving the apartment of Universe 11, Cell gave him a sneering gaze while recalling their amusing battle.[111] When morning came and everyone getting prepared for the event, Cell was still in place he was last seen in. Despite sensing something strange last night (likely XXI blasting Buu), he remained unbothered by it. Thinking about Tapion and his guaranteed victory, Cell gave a vicious smile to Tapion and Dr. Raichi when they emerged from their apartment.[112] When Goku pitifully fell on his face thanks to the new barrier in place before battling Freeza, Cell gave Vegetto a sneer since he knew the fused Saiyan was ashamed.[113]

Third Round: Facing the Opponent that Made You Who you Are[]

After twenty minutes passed between Uub and Majin Buu's match, Cell leaned over the wall between him and Universe 18 to inform Vegeta that it will be either him or the fake Goku that shall face him in the next round. Expressing his desire to face Vegeta since he will be disappointed to not have a rematch since he helped him to achieve perfection and being curious to see his improvements over the years that he at least reached the level of Gohan, Vegeta tells Cell to worry about winning his match since he will face his power very soon. Groaning while feeling a certain prominence to Vegeta, Cell felt reassured he will win but a small bit if uncertainty rested in his heart. Wishing to know his hidden reserves just as much with Gohan's upgraded abilities, Cell knows that facing Vegeta will be the most stimulating thing he will do in years and couldn't wait to further his own perfection by besting the Saiyan prince in combat. When Vegeta was called for his fight, Cell stared at him without flinching.[114]

When Vegeta's Big Bang Attack collided with Golden Oozaru Kakarotto's attack, Cell's offspring hurled back and collided against the wall behind them. As for Cell himself, he was unaffected and growing disappointed in the fight since both warriors were equivalent to Gohan back in the Cell Games. Wishing to tear out Vegeta's full power firsthand, he secretly began to root for Vegeta as his sons recovered.[115] When Kakarotto, long lost his Golden Oozaru state and prepared to fire a Kamehameha against SSJ Vegeta's new attack, Cell smiled since Kakarotto's attack was just as strong as the Kamehameha he fired at Gohan before losing Android 18 and returning in his Super Perfect form. Later Cell was amazed by Vegeta's new attack and the mechanics behind it. This further cemented Cell's desire to battle Vegeta and reveal his own new techniques in due time.[116] When Vegeta won, Cell continued to gaze at him without even blinking. Remaining motionless and expressionless, his six juniors remained concerned for their father but knew not to disturb him. Busy calculating hypothetical scenarios within his mind, Cell knew Vegeta held back and compensated with new techniques, a proud trait he too shares from their mutual dna. Desiring to draw out all of Vegeta's abilities, Cell knows he will reach new heights once they face each other. But when the Secondary Tournament was announced before his match started, Cell was highly displeased as he gave both Pan's a dirty gaze since they were called to fight. Knowing his strongest son will be fighting in his stead eventually in the tournament, Cell resigned and closed his eyes.[117]

When his son was finally called to fight against West Kaioshin and Nappa as he was partnered with Jeece, Cell became livid when his son used the secretive body manipulation technique to escape Nappa's hold. Knowing his potential ability no longer has the surprise element, Cell thinks Tapion didn't realize it, but noticed Vegeta looking directly at him from seeing it. When the latest Secondary Tournament match ended with Vegeta proclaiming he was starting to get bored, Cell tells him that he will help him with a real fight if he wants to as his fight against Tapion was finally called.[118]

    Third Round: Sinister Creations[]

"It can last forever if none of us could hurt the other. I can go on for years against you without stopping. What about you? You're right, the audience would get bored. But that's not my problem! IT'S TIME TO PLAY ON THE SAME FIELD!"
    — Cell, as he prepares to transform into his giant form, in "Sinister creations"

    Hirudegarn vs Cell

A giant Cell lands a heavy blow on Hildegan

Upon being called to battle Tapion of Universe 3,[119] Cell arrives on the ring, arms crossed while waiting for Tapion to come on up. Eyes sharp like a predator and waiting to draw out the beast within Tapion, Cell's senses were on full alart.[120] Encountering his opponent already wrapped around Hildegan's aura before fully assuming the monster's form, protecting himself but losing control over it in the process. Calling it a big beast that will be perfect for his training, Cell charges at Hildegan head-on and evades a thrown punch.[121] Managing to punch Hildegan that surprisingly gave it no damage, Cell wonders so despite hitting harder than Kulilin before flying up and releasing a chain of Kienzan at him, causing Hildegan to evade it by becoming smoke.[122] Forming behind Cell, the bio-android sees it and easily evades it punch before catching it tail strike. Quickly the GenMajin releases a stream of fire, impacting Cell.[123] Absolutely unfazed by it despite having some burns, Cell proudly tells Hildegan that it attacks are at a ridiculous level. Commentating to Hildegan that both of them were at a stalemate since both can go on forever at their current pace as neither of them could deal any real damage to the other, something Hildegan agrees with, Cell also agrees that the audience will get bored though it not for him to care about that. Deciding to even the odds, Cell increases his size to match Hildegan's own.[124] Now on the same level, Cell gets into a martial arts stance and prepares to face Hildegan once more.[125]

    Cell kills Hirudegarn

    Cell kills Hildegan

Cocking a punch, Hildegan is quickly overwhelmed by a violent barrage of blows by Cell, finished by a mean uppercut that sent it on it back.[126] Later on Hildegan it back on it feet, being in a intense melee match against Cell.[127] Managing to push back Hildegan despite Cell's growing frustration of being unable to truly harm it, Cell decides on a new tactic of approach. Charging ahead, Cell used a fast piercing feint attack to surprise Hildegan, injuring him as a result.[128] With his hand still within the right shoulder, Cell started to increase his own body heat to torture the monster in excrutiating pain. The technique ended when Hildegan linked with Tapion to gain more power, managing to injure Cell. Undeterred, Cell resisted his arm to be removed from Hildegan and told it that it was a appetizer compared to the main course of Vegeta.[129] About to make a followup by grabbing it neck, Hildegan transformed into smoke to escape Cell's grasp, making Cell sneer that he won't escape. Cell responded by sucking him in, causing his body to swell enormously.[130] With the suction complete and so fat that Goku thinks he may explode, a tail suddenly pierces through Cell before violently exploding from a fully formed Hildegan.[131] With a new countdown starting with Hildegan roaring, Cell suddenly appears, fully regenerated from the piece that contained his core and pierced through Hildegan from below, cleaving the monster in half before Cell lands nearby.[132]

After being announced the winner with Cell noting that both Tapion and Hildegan are now deceased, Cell comments that he's going to wash off in his private chambers, ignoring his two (six in the novel) sons and Vegetto's playful insults. For the latter, Cell briefly did tensed up since he was growing agitated at Vegetto constantly reminding him about the unbridgeable gap of power between them, but gave no reaction to satisfy the fused Saiyan. Cell also ignores Dr. Raichi's hateful gaze while hoping Vegeta watched his fight since that all that mattered in the grand scheme of things. And right before entering, Cell heard the conversation between Gohan and Vegetto and vowed to see Gohan's full abilities while unlocking his rage, the true source of his powers. Inside, Cell comments how he had gotten stronger from his battle via Zenkai, but expressed disappointment that it was still not enough to compete with Vegetto. Before he could ponder on further, he was suddenly ambushed by Babidi's attempt to control him. Though Cell attempts to resist and is flabbergasted by the action to control him, the perfect warrior, he is further pushed to the breaking point.[133][134]

As the mental war continued, Cell realized that the more arrogant he became, the more his defensive mental faculties cracked under the witchcraft. Never meeting a wizard this skilled before, thus was unprepared for it, Cell still resisted which made Babidi become frustrated himself. Hearing Babidi's voice while knowing his own desire to face Gohan, Cell still refused to be a submissive slave and refused to repeat the conditions at how he first faced Gohan underneath Zen Buu's rampage. But continuing to hear Babidi's whispers, Cell became intrigued by Babidi's scheme and how far it will go. Believing he can crack free from the control no matter how strong it is since his pride refused, Cell decided it will be the wisest move to be controlled despite loathing it. Now possessed, Cell went to take his shower.[134]

Third Round: The New Abilities of Fusion[]

Still within his apartment, Cell was engaged in a intense mental exercise where he was fighting both Gohan's in shadow boxing. Despite knowing that in real combat that the both of them would be too much for him, Cell knew that he can win in the mental spar despite never seeing Gohan's true abilities. Knowing that Super Saiyan 2 is nothing compared to his new abilities, Cell was thrilled to see Babidi's plans become unraveled while realizing he was the strongest Majin in the forces, far surpassing Dabra. Liking his new role and briefly wondering why he resisted for so long, Cell grew excited and destroyed all the furniture in his room with a powerful kick. Cell knew he was ready to fight now.[135]

    Third Round: Balancing the Fighters[]

Remaining in the shadows of his own Universe, Cell peaked at the arena with King Cold completing his Second Augmentation transformation against Son Bra. Concealing his thoughts from Babidi with minimal effort, Cell admired Cold internally since he himself was fully aware of the potential of the Frost Demons, exploiting it himself as much as possible. Noting that if he faced him 27 years ago, Cell himself thinks he could lose to the behemoth.[136]

Third Round: All of the Hatred of the World[]

    Screen Shot 2017-11-10 at 3.02

Majin Cell takes Universe 16 hostage

As the battle between Hatchiyack and Gast Carcolh intensifies, Cell, hidden in the shadows still, was able to tune into the screams of Hildegan when Hatchiyack was roaring. Enjoying the melody despite it still concerning him, Cell knew that Babidi's plan was about to start and knew that Hatchiyack's existence may interrupt it.[137]

Right before Babidi launches his attack, Cell creates three more sons at maximum power in the hopes of pinning down Universe 18. Planning to handle Universe 16, he tells his four powerful sons to hide their energy and prepare for the attack. But when his first but weakest son tries to join his four younger but stronger brothers, Cell tells him he is far too weak. Instead he should stay behind or fight weaklings instead.[138]

When Babidi decides to launch his coup at the end of the third round by teleporting all the multiverse participants away, Cell without Babidi's knowledge ambushes the remaining people of Universe 16 and takes them hostage. Before doing so, he spawned more Cell Juniors to take the remaining members of Universe 18 captive as well (four in the comic, but six in the novel with each one being stronger than Gohan during the Cell Games) since Cell knows they are all very dangerous and needs a close eye on them. With Gohan's hatred building up and unable to believe that Cell fell so low, the bio-android informs he that he is a evil being after all and despite being unable to face Vegeta, he more than happy to satisfy his urge to battle Gohan once and for all. Seeing Gohan from Universe 18 breaking free and killed two of his six children, Cell admires it since each one is quite powerful on their own right. When his captive Gohan tried to wrench himself free, Cell tightened his grip and made the tip of his stinger to slightly penetrate through Videl's neck, drawing blood. Chuckling, Cell mocked Gohan that he shouldn't do that.[139][140]

    Babidi's Trap[]

"It's between you and me, Cell."
"Ah, I've been waiting for this moment!"
    — Gohan (U16) and Cell, in Babidi's trap

As Buu from Universe 4 watches Cell restraining his hostages,[141] Gohan seemingly attempts to resist, only to stop when Cell threatens to kill Videl by inching his stinger closer to her face despite his children all being dead in Universe 18.[142] When Gohan and Piccolo of Universe 18 fly over the area of Universe 16,[143] Cell is seen smiling at his captured Gohan's inability to resist despite Videl's insistence to act regardless of her safety. But in a blink of a eye, the Gohan from Universe 18 fires a mighty energy wave towards them.[144] Completely stupefied, Cell then watches his captured Gohan escaping his hold and saving Videl before getting hit by the attack, destroying his tail. Cell then falls on the ground in slight pain.[145]

    Gohan and Majin Cell clash

Right back to his feet, Cell seems to be in no worse wear and smiles hard with his aura at full volume. Hearing Universe 16's Gohan proclaiming that they shall fight, Cell is very delighted by the fact since he has been waiting for this moment. And without pause, both of them charge against each other to commence their battle.[146]

When their fists collided, the entire low wall for the 16th balcony was destroyed as the apartment corridor cracked from the sheer stress. Congratulating Gohan with his incredible power, Cell and Gohan engaged in a violent exchange of combat that stunned other battles mid-fight. With nobody but Zen Buu being able to follow, each blow was perfectly met by the other combatant. When Gohan finally manages to push Cell and fire a Masenko, Cell was slammed and pushed back, yet suffered no damage since he blocked it with both hands. Chuckling while ejecting the attack into space, Cell created two Kienzan before flinging them at Gohan. Catching both with his aura, Gohan shattered them into energy light shards. Telling Gohan that the warm up was over, Cell was interrupted by Babidi telepathically that the other Gohan was after him. Glancing at Babidi's apartment, Cell's distraction costed him by receiving a powerful punch in the chest. Groaning, Cell quickly knees Gohan in the chin to draw blood. Telling Babidi that he is preoccupied by fighting his counterpart and he cannot fight two of them at the same time at his current level, so Majin Buu has to be used, Babidi informs him to be quick before terminating the communication. Refocusing on the battle and telling Gohan that he has so much to still show, he rushes Gohan and both engage in another bout. When Gohan attempts to grab Cell, the bio-android uses his body manipulation technique to burn Gohan's hand before Cell tries to assault Gohan with physical attacks.[147]

Avoid Cell at all costs, Gohan eventually hits Cell with a powerful energy wave at close range. Brushing the dust aside with his technique over, Cell shot a ki out that quickly wrapped around Gohan's ankles. When the energy became solid, Cell began to drag and throw Gohan around, making him collide against the gaseous planets even. Flinging Gohan so hard at the arena that left him in a crater, Cell spots Piccolo restraining Coola while attempting to blast Freeza and King Cold in their transformation process. Using his extended lasso to dissipate the attack from hitting Cold, Cell laughs at Piccolo while enjoying his terror. But taking advantage, Gohan blasts a attack in Cell's face, making him fly into the sky and losing his whip attack. Gohan follows and proceeds to violently strike Cell, though the bio-android quickly creates a green energy shield to repel Gohan while liking his zeal. Enjoying himself though knowing he has to stop the other Gohan from reaching Babidi, Cell is slightly grateful that the other Gohan hasn't joined or he would have long lost against their combined might.[147]

    Budokai Royale[]

With his match against Gohan still underway, despite having some minor injuries and bleeding from the mouth, Cell manages to elbow Gohan's head that destroys his glasses.[148] Later on with both being more injured than previously seen, Piccolo flies through their battleground with Coola chasing him, causing Gohan to say Piccolo's name in fear.[149] Attempting to knee Gohan while informing him that Piccolo should be of no concern to him, Gohan grits his teeth and mentally notes that this fight won't be so easy.[150]

    Budokai Royale 2: Supersonic Blast[]

    Cell pushing Gohan

    Cell attempting to kill Gohan

Locked in fierce combat with Gohan as Cell is enjoying their 'revenge' match, Cell tells him he has grown incredibly strong although so has he. Quickly Cell releases a Special Beam Cannon at point blank range, which appears to have hit his chest directly.[151] But in actuality Gohan blocked it with his left hand, bleeding a bit but still capable of fighting. Smuggling telling Gohan that he cannot use that hand anymore, Cell receives a brutal uppercut into his chest before getting kneed in the chin. However Cell successfully manages to block a kick.[152] Seeing what looks like that Gohan is about to strike with his damaged hand and mentally noting that he cannot be serious, instead Cell is hit with a feint elbow strike, making Cell to congratulate Gohan despite leaking more blood from his nose.[153] However, their battle is soon interrupted when Gohan senses that Videl of Universe 18 was injured by Nappa. Panicking and fearful of his alternate wife's safety, Gohan abandons the battle to save her. Cell refuses to have their fight interrupted and attempts to pursue Gohan, but before he could do so a laser beam blocks him.[154]

    Cell vs Nedwook

    Cell challenging Nedwook

Cell is quickly challenged by Nedwook, the culprit of the laser. Confident, Cell laughs in Nedwooks face and boasts how he butchered Planet Helior and all the Ultras of his universe. Cell then fires a ki blast before using his heightened speed to move about.[39] However, Cell severely underestimated Nedwook, making the bio-android to frown when both his energy blast and punch gets blocked by Nedwook's energy shield. Cell is then kicked in the chest and sent flying before getting struct by a direct Ultra Waver Ball.[155] Alive but horribly burnt and missing several limbs, Cell then sees Nedwook releasing several energy lasers at him.[156] Cell is then completely eviscerated, almost appearing to be dead from the assault.[157] But to Nedwook and Phipsil's complete shock and frustration, Cell is very much still alive and has lost virtually no energy, now nearly fully regenerated with his aura crackling around him.[158] Whole once more and at full power, Cell proudly proclaims that Nedwook has been very helpful in increasing his power via Zenkai, and now has no more need of him anymore.[5]

    Budokai Royale 3: Ultimate Warriors[]

Despite the Ultra's' best efforts in a largely unseen battle, they were soon overpowered by Cell. Victorious, Cell holds Phipsil and Nedwook in his hands, congratulating them on how tenacious they are since he was injured to a certain extent. Extending his tail, he injects his stinger into her neck with a sadistic smile on his face, causing her great pain as he comments on the action.[159]

But unknown to everyone, Cell created a telepathic link to Phipsil and informs her to only answer in thoughts. Knowing she has nanomachines healing her body and has no serious wounds, he asks her if she can reenter the fight soon. When Phipsil shows they have no more energy left and Cell asks if they can recharge them, she says no although she could take the energy packs from her dead comrades back in her universe balcony. When Cells tells her to do it discreetly, making Phipsil to ask why in all of this, Cell reveals he has long escaped Babidi's control and is on their side while pretending to be on Babidi's. When Phipsil states he could have played less rough but agrees to be sent back to her universe, Cells agrees.[160]

    Budokai Royale 4: Heroes Fury[]

    Cell defeating Piccolo

Cell taking out the Piccolo's and Videl's

With the warriors of Universe 19 apparently dead, Cell tosses them away like trash and informs Babidi that he will kill the Piccolo's before dealing with the Gohan's and winning the battle.[161] Teleporting behind Piccolo of Universe 18, Cell asks for a senzu bean in a politely mocking fashion before quickly bisecting the Namekian with a single chop. He quickly turns his attention to Piccolo and Videl of Universe 16, who are horrified by the bio-androids actions.[162] When Gohan returns and sees both Piccolo's and Videl have been seemingly killed, Cell calls out to Gohan that this is punishment for what happens when he denies them their fight.[163] When Gohan looks at Cell, he sees his archenemy holding the body of Videl of Universe 18, revealing that he killed her as well with Piccolo's severed hand around his neck. The bio-android then further mocks Gohan that it takes more and more effort to get him mad compared to their respective battles 27 years ago.[164]

    Cell Defeated

    Cell seemingly 'killed' by Gohan

Finally reaching his breaking point, Gohan, overwhelmed by pure rage, hears Cell saying that he isn't as concentrated when his little 'darlings' are around. Snapping, Gohan unleashes his full power, startling Cell.[165] Without pause Gohan releases a massive energy wave that engulfs Cell, which literally blows a massive hole through the entire asteroid.[166] The resulting blast destroys his entire body, apparently ending the bio-android for good in a blacken crater that leads to outer space.[167]

    Royale Budokai 5: Final Battle[]

As the Piccolo's wonder why they were spared, knowing that Cell knew they could survive the injuries he had inflicted on them,[168] Cell is revealed to have survived the blast, allowing his regenerative nucleus core to rejuvenate his perfect body once again. Proudly stating that he trained his nucleus to withstand any wide assault that it no longer enough to kill him anymore, Cell darkly turns his attention to Bra of Universe 18. Cell reveals that she has nothing to worry about since he is on her side. Revealing that he been deliberately not only been making allies behind the scenes and motivated the Gohan's like Hell without Babidi realizing since Cell knows that alone he is absolutely no match for Son Bra, he tells Bra to stay safe and remain alive. Reason is that if the Gohan's begin to lose conviction, he will motivate them by throwing her into the melee, which absolutely terrifies Bra.[2]

As the remaining heroes began to fight a losing battle against Bra, the Piccolo's were releasing a barrage of Special Beam Cannon's at Bra's shield. As Bra mocks them, Cell jumps into the fight and successfully manages to blow Bra's arm off clean with a surprise Special Beam Cannon, though initially he was aiming for her heart but her reaction saved her. As Bra grows excited at Cell appearing and showing his true colors, Cell maintains his stance and grins despite still panting.[169] Bra then regrows her arm thanks to her stash of senzu beans[170] before attacking Cell in a heated melee. Overwhelmed by her sheer brute force, Cell has his defenses broken before getting punched to the ground.[171] Before she could finish him off, Gohan of Universe 18 tries attack Babidi, forcing her to intervene, sparing Cell from a likely fatal attack. Nonetheless the resulting clash devastates the entire stadium and kills the spectators.[172]

Recovered, Cell rushes after Babidi to punch him out, which the sorcerer tries in vain to make the bio-android to obey his commands.[173] But to Cell's immediate agony, he is kicked in the face by Bra with her comically stating she cannot leave him alone for a second and will be watching him.[174] As Cell tries to reengage against Bra in physical combat, the Majinized Saiyan-hybrid witnesses Piccolo's senzu beans and Cell's miniature spawns to assist the heroes.[175] As Bra makes light of her findings as she and Cell engage in another brawl, before she could finish her next statement she is punched in the head by Gohan, whom managed to return thanks to the help of his own mini Junior.[176] Standing next to Gohan in a battle stance, he sees Bra getting frustrated at the growing events.[177] Suddenly, Babidi is attacked by the warriors of Universe 19, forcing Bra to narrowly save him and glare at the smiling bio-android since they should have already been dead.[178] Realizing since the beginning that Cell has been creating allies, Cell is around his new comrades in the pursuit of stopping her and Babidi.[179]

    Budokai Royale 6: Raging Dokkan[]

    Cell grave mistake

Cell about to be attacked by Bra

Staring down Son Bra and Babidi with his allies, he witnesses Bra summoning a shield around her and Babidi.[180] Cell is later highly alerted when they both disappeared from the arena.[181] Upon hearing Phipsil's question on what group strategies they know, Cell initially had a comical face on him before inputting in the defense of the z-fighters that they usually only have one fighter available or becomes available at the last moment.[182] Cell later gets on guard when Bra returns to the battlefield.[183] After seeing one of the Gohan's get his spine shattered, Cell chases after Bra from behind with a devastating punch in mind.[184] Despite missed hitting Bra thanks to her teleportation skills, Cell instantly reacts and elbows Bra in the face from behind and tells her that it won't work for a second time, showing he is adjusting to her skills.[185] Charging after Bra, Cell delivers a fierce kick though it is blocked.[186] Staring at Bra's serious expression, Cell notes he recognizes that look on that she planning to teleport again. Telling her that he will see her again after disappearing, he throws another punch that instead strike a goo clone made by Bra. Shocked as the goo gets all over him, Bra closes in on him.[187] Struct by a devastating kick that not only makes him cough up blood, but it completely blows a hole through his stomach and destroys his wings. Kneeling on the ground and gagging for air, Bra intends to finish off Cell, but is spared from immediate death since she becomes more interested in Nedwook for interfering.[188]

Budokai Royale 7: Infinite Butodan (Death)[]

    Cell Death

    Bra kills Cell

Laying on the ground in critical condition as more of the goo covers his body, one of his tiny Juniors teleports to him with a senzu bean in his hands.[189] Before he could eat it, Bra teleports and blasts him and his Junior with a powerful energy wave, instantly killing Cell's son.[190] Frying so badly that everything but his main core was disintegrated, quickly that too was destroyed by Bra via finger beam, guaranteeing his first true demise in his existence.[191] Gohan later confirms that Cell is dead, much to the shock of the Mini Cell Jr. on his forehead.[192]

Budokai Royale 8: The Legacy of Vegetto (Resurrected)[]

    Cell Alive Again

    Cell revived from the rebellion

Due to the combatants returning, Zen Buu uses his magic to resurrect those killed, heal the injured, and removed Babidi's Majinization spell.[193] Brought back to life while no longer underneath Babidi's control, Cell remains unamused and in dismay as all of his children surround him in their universe's balcony.[194]

    Fourth Round: Quarter Finals[]

    Cell vs Two Gohan's

    Cell facing both Gohan's

Still surrounded by his children in his balcony, Cell is mused out of his thoughts when Gohan tells one of his mini sons to go back to his arena. Now directly talking to Cell, Gohan tells him that he knows that he was never underneath Babidi's influence, knowing that his 'cruel' plans only served to satisfy himself and is never allowed to come near his family, including his sons.[195] Amused by such a statement, Cell grins and tells Gohan if he'll be punished since he been 'very' bad. Now leaning over the wall, Cell tells Gohan that he proven that Gohan is incapable of killing him. Upon asking him that will he improvise a plan with his doppelganger to take him down, Gohan from Universe 18 arrives behind Cell, startling the bio-android that he accidently destroys part of the barrier wall. Now surrounded by both Gohan's, which visibly puts Cell on guard, Gohan from the 16th tells Cell that he is trapped and better hold the line. Trying to make a statement to defend himself, Cell finds him alone as both Gohan's had already departed, leaving the bio-android a little confused at the ordeal.[196] When the fourth round was announced, Cell's profile was displayed as he was fated to battle against Vegeta from Universe 18.[197] Cell and one of his sons were visible when Goku and Uub stepped on the ring to face against each other.[198]

Fourth Round: Return Match for Super Vegeta (Second Death)[]

    Cell Multiplied

    Cell with four bodies

Once Goku won against Uub, Cell was called by the announcer to enter the ring to face Vegeta.[199] Once on the ring, Cell stands proud with his arms folded as he waits for Vegeta to enter.[200] Once Vegeta was standing before him, Cell tells him that he not very cautious and is very weak in his current state. Stating he could easily kill him before he could turn Super Saiyan, Vegeta goads him to try. Irritated at missing Vegeta's head to slice off with a karate chop, Vegeta already in his Super Saiyan 2 state.[201] Upon being cut into four separate pieces by Vegeta's Kienzan, Cell dryly notes that Vegeta doesn't waste time and will start using his own tricks.[202] Cell's dismembered body parts then start to rumble. Regenerating his main body along with creating three separate clones, all four Cell's pose as they stare at Vegeta.[203]

    Cell Beam Struggle with Vegeta

    Cell trying to overwhelm Vegeta

Having all four bodies chase after Vegeta, one of his punches is blocked by Vegeta, They immediately began following Vegeta once he jumps into the air.[204] When one body manages to get the drop on Vegeta by both taunting and punching him in the face, he is subsequently destroyed by Vegeta with a well placed punch to the head.[205] As that corpse falls to the ground, the remaining three Cell's stand on the floor as Vegeta fires a new energy wave at them. Easily catching the attack, Cell further mocks Vegeta if he believes this would be enough to defeat him.[206] Once Vegeta pumps more power into it, one of the clones is overwhelmed and subsequently destroyed. leaving the last two to fight back even harder than before.[207] Managing to overpower Vegeta's own attack by releasing heat-seeking blasts, both Cell's become delighted as Vegeta runs away.[208] While Vegeta is running away, Cell keeps intercepting him to make his escape more difficult.[209] Seeing Vegeta about to be trapped between the energy shield and the energy blasts, Cell smiles upon witnessing the explosion.[210]

    Cell vs Vegeta

    Cell battling Vegeta

Surprised when two energy blasts come out from the smoke, the clone is instantly killed as the real Cell blocks the attack in annoyance.[211] Enraged by Vegeta's continued survival, Cell shouts that while the fight has been fun, in the end Vegeta is still far less powerful than he is.[212] Wasting no time, Cell quickly generates a massive Perfect Barrier that takes up most of the arena.[213] When the sphere reaches critical mass as Vegeta tries to hide in the corner, it detonates that forces most spectators to cover their eyes.[214] With most of the arena now a broken mess, Cell is visibly sweating and breathing harder while his aura burns brightly around him. However Vegeta survived from the blast by avoid it altogether.[215] When Vegeta appears before Cell via Instant Transmission and taunts the bio-android that he hopes he isn't tired, Cell frowns and tells the Saiyan prince that he still very much weaker than he is. Both then power up and release far more power than before.[216]

    Cell Second Death

    Cell's final moments

Dodging Vegeta's punch, Cell's punch is blocked by Vegeta by making a forearm cross. However Cell's next punch connects against Vegeta's chin.[217] Kicking Vegeta hard enough that he crashes against the floor, Cell proudly tells Vegeta on what he is waiting for.[218] Telling Vegeta to go to the next level since a few other Saiyans could since he hopes that Vegeta isn't the only one capable of doing it, he hears Vegeta's disdain for such a form. Asking Vegeta if he has better, Vegeta states it time for the 'final round' before tossing Cell a 'senzu bean'.[219] Catching it and delightfully stating that Son Goku has obviously influenced him, Cell is utterly shocked and horrified when Vegeta punches through his stomach as an Super Saiyan 3, forcing Cell to drop his 'senzu bean'.[220] Completely stupefied and paralyzed from the damage, Cell is hopeless as Vegeta mocks him and extracts his 'core' from his body.[221] Unable to do anything, Vegeta vaporizes the core before Cell's eyes, which granted Vegeta the victory.[222] Now dead, Cell's main body disappeared offscreen, either crashing against the ground as a corpse or even vaporized just like his core.

    Power & Abilities (Pre-Multiverse Tournament)[]

    Birth[]

The power level for Cell in his Larval state remains unknown. However, initially in his fully matured Imperfect Form, Cell was strong enough to successfully ambush and kill Trunks. Cell then used this opportunity to travel to Universe 17 in his pursuit to absorb the Androids.[6]

    Cell losing to Gohan

    Cell Games / Universal Terror[]

Upon achieving his Perfect form and very deep into the Cell Games, Cell was absolutely no match for Gohan in his Super Saiyan 2 state, pushed to the brink from a mere few blows. Even when using his 'Power-Weighted' state, Cell was overwhelmed and lost Android 18, reverting him back into his 'Semi-Perfect' form. In this reduced state, Cell knew he was weaker than Gohan, Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, and possibly even Piccolo since he finished training for one year in the Room of Spirit and Time. However upon deciding to explode, Cell would have killed everyone if it wasn't for Goku intervening.[7] Piccolo himself around this point believes that he would be comparable to Cell in his Semi-Perfect form after his training in the Room of Spirit and Time.[11]

Surviving his explosion and achieving his "Super" Perfect form via Zenkai, Cell became comparable to Gohan's SSJ2 strength. He easily killed Trunks with a well-timed Death Beam. Even when Vegeta attacks him with everything he had, Cell received no damage and knocked out Vegeta with a single chop. And Cell would have killed Vegeta if Gohan didn't intervene, though the blast was strong enough to greatly injure Gohan's left arm and leg. When charging his Solar Kamehameha, Cell proudly stated he has enough power to destroy the entire Solar System and after engaging in a beam struggle with Gohan, Cell completely killed the boy and left no traces behind.[7]

    Cell killing Yamcha

Cell brutally beating Yamcha to death

After killing Gohan and despite being exhausted,[223] Cell easily kills the rest of the Z-Fighters in various conditions. With a single ki blast he murders Vegeta,[27] defeats Piccolo with a single hand chop,[29] kills Tien with a deflected Kienzan,[31] beats Yamcha to death,[32] before leaving Kulilin in the vacuum of space to die of asphyxiation.[35] In the novel the heroes managed to fair a bit better since Piccolo once caught Cell off guard, elbowed him in the face, and Vegeta managed to kick Cell in the face, making him stagger for a bit, but it ended just the same as it did in the comic.[223] Cell then proceeds to travel across the entire universe to bring terror and calamity to all he crosses.[37]

    Cell Games - Statements[]

According to Salagir around this time period of the Cell Games, he was definitely in the "SSJ2-tier", which puts him in the same level as SSJ2 Gohan, SSJ2 Goku, and SSJ2 Vegeta.[224]

Due to the event of killing Gohan, Cell believed he was truly stronger than Gohan that lasts all the way to the events of the Multiverse Tournament.[65]

Dabra from Universe 11 is equivalent to Perfect Cell at the beginning of his Cell Games when he fought Cell in Age 794.[52][65] Same is applied to Bojack from Universe 6 when he also battles Cell during the Tournament.[86] During Vegeta and Kakarotto's battle, Cell noted they were just as strong as Gohan when both were Super Saiyan 2 and Golden Oozaru respectively.[115] And when Kakarotto was reduced to a Super Saiyan and was charging his Kamehameha, Cell noted he was just as strong as he was when he released his failed Kamehameha at Gohan before losing Android 18.[116] Cell also pointed out that Hildegan around this time would have posed a legitimate challenge to him.[129] Vegeta believes that Trunks newfound mastery of the Ultra Super Saiyan stat would have given serious problems to Cell around this level.[225]

Years later during the Multiverse tournament, Piccolo strongly believes that Arale would be able to defeat Cell during his Cell Games.[226] Salagir reiterates so in the comments section.[227] Due to a similar benchmark, Cell thinks he would also lose if he faced against King Cold in his Second Augmentation state around this period.[136]

    Other Encounters[]

Cell and his children were so strong that they not only easily destroyed the Bojack Gang,[38] but also butchered Planet Helior and each Ultra Armor wearer from existence[39] at different points in time.

    Powers & Abilities (Multiverse Tournament)[]

    Tournament - First Round[]

By the time of the Multiverse Tournament, Cell was initially concealing his power level to his Cell Games era 27 years ago before his failed explosion, which was the standard kept against battling Dabra.[65] To keep up with his ploy against Dabra, Cell admitted that Dabra was likely the strongest foe he has ever face.[52] However some warriors such as Goku, Gohan, and Vegetto questioned Cell's current level,[53] though later on think it was actually plausible after defeating Dabra.[65]

During Broly's initial carnage, Cell has no signs of distress, indicating he wasn't fazed by the power he was seeing.[71] But upon seeing Vegetto's match against Broly, Cell is in complete disbelief and says it is "impossible", managing to hold his footing as his son is embedded to a nearby wall.[72] And when Vegetto is declared the victor, Cell is having a nervous breakdown since Vegetto far outclasses him.[73] Due to this, Cell vows to get stronger so that he can catch up to Vegetto's might.[74]

However, Cell unintentionally blew his own cover by creating a second Cell Jr. to fight Gast Carcolh, who received as much power as possible he could be given.[79] And once Cell Jr. used Final Flash, it was confirmed by Vegeta that it is far stronger than the Perfect Cell back in Universe 18, which was after the failed suicide.[81][228] This is significant since this same Cell Jr. as a Ghost Warrior for Dr. Raichi is equivalent to Vegeta as a Super Saiyan 2.[229]

When Gohan powers up to his maximum to make Bra calm down, Cell is visibly stunned by the level of power he was sensing.[66][67][230] This highly indicates that their power levels are either equivalent, Cell is grossly weaker, or simply just in awe how strong Gohan has come since the Cell Games.

    First Round - Statements[]

Before battling Dabra, Cell briefly wondered if he could defeat Majin Buu from Universe 11 since his regeneration was quite powerful.[8] This implies he may not be enough for the chubby Majin. Cell is also highly wary of the other Buu, knowing he is dangerous and has superior regeneration to his own.[83] And since he sensed the battle in space,[75] it likely Cell knows that Buu far outclasses him as well.

    Tournament - Second Round[]

During the Second Round match against Bojack (already in his Super form), Cell was amused that Bojack has power highly comparable to his own back during his own Cell Games.[86] But noting that he is "incomparably stronger" since then, Cell shows a portion of his true power which completely outclasses Bojack, making both Goku and Vegeta to note about it.[4] Cell then proceeds to toy with Bojack in a cruel fashion,[89][90][92] followed by brutally ending his life with a swift knee drop.[94][95] Without a doubt Cell is far more stronger than a Super Saiyan 2 tier warrior, though his full power still remains unknown. In the novel is was inexplicably stated that Cell's power completely surpassed Super Saiyan 2 Gohan's, yet was far from employing the full usage of his Perfect strength against Bojack.[87]

Before battling Bojack, despite his initial shock at Gohan's power,[66] he wanted to fight the Saiyan-hybrid in a secluded match far away from the arena.[85] But Gohan ultimately refused, though it doesn't stop Cell from wishing to still engage against him.[86] This further implies that Cell and Gohan may be closer in strength that what has been seen.

When Vegetto lost in the second round, Cell felt like a coward since his Saiyan cells wanted to a challenge against the superior fused warrior, but was relieved he didn't have to face him.[97]

Cell was one of the absolute few to be able to resist Buu's absorption goo during his rampage, showcasing the vast potential within Cell.[98]

During Buu's rampage, Cell was able to hold his own against Gohan for a brief while. However he was completely dominated against Bra as a Super Saiyan, forcing him to retreat from her.[10]

Right before Cell was about to battle Bojack, Vegetto has pointed out that he expected nothing from Cell since he was a villain whom time has long passed. It was clear that Buu was stronger, and Vegetto failed to see how Cell could possibly pose a challenge for even Gohan, much less himself. He also doubted that Cell found other Androids to absorb, which would make his progress lackluster in Vegetto's eyes.[87]

Despite being injured, but Vegeta's deflected Big Bang Attack was easily eradicated by Cell despite being a Super Saiyan 2 while fighting against Cell's ghost son.[106] When Vegeta became a Super Saiyan 3 against Raichi, Cell showed absolutely no reaction to the increase in power.[107] This greatly hints that perhaps Vegeta, even in his new form, may be no match for Cell when using his true power, although all of it is still speculative.

Both East and North Kaioshins agreed that Cell is among those who far more superior to the Kaioshin's despite having a black heart full of evil. This was proven when his strongest son easily defeated West Kaioshin and Nappa during the Secondary Tournament.[118]

    Second Round - Statements[]

Uniquely Vegetto appears to have a high opinion of Cell since he considered him as someone to fight during his seclusion in space, ranking him in the same league as Buu or Gast Carcolh.[231]

    Tournament - Third Round[]

During the Third Round match against Tapion and Hildegan, Cell uses a significant portion of his true power to challenge the beast, all for in the name of training.[121] Despite initially being unable to hurt Hildegan due to it unique defenses,[122] Cell was able to fight the beast evenly, ignore the damage he received while calling Hildegan's attack power "ridiculous", and even noted that the fight will take forever due to their unique strengths and powers.[124] This perfectly shows that Cell was more than capable to deal with Hildegan, despite his then-current lack of means to deal true damage. And in the novel, Cell's disappointment is even more apparent, noting that Hildegan was pathetic and only good for training purposes.[120] But upon becoming a giant of similar size to Hildegan,[125] Cell started to dominate the battle before finding a way to critically injure Hildegan.[126][128] But despite finding a way to have Hildegan be trapped in his body,[130] the GenMajin was strong enough to burst open from Cell and splatter his remains all over the arena.[131] Yet this worked in Cell's favor, gaining the opportunity to cut Hildegan in half.[132] And as a extra benefit from his near death experience, Cell gained a Zenkai that increased his power level to a threshold.[133] As a consequence, Cell's full power before the Zenkai boost forever remains unknown now since he never revealed it against Dabra, Bojack, and Hildegan.

When battling against Hildegan, Vegetto was highly enjoying the match, praising Cell's latest combo.[232]

    Third Round - Statements[]

Though far from reaching their levels. but Cell remains positive that he has the potential to one day reach the levels of Zen Buu or Vegetto.[10]

Cell believes he is far more powerful than Kulilin from Universe 9.[120] Trunks upon witnessing his battle against Hildegan admitted that Cell would be too much for him.[120]

Even after gaining a Zenkai from his battle against Tapion and Hildegan, Cell notes that it still not enough for Vegetto.[133] In the novel, Cell further adds that after his Zenkai boost, he also inferior to Son Bra since she can crush him in a blink of a eye. This extends to Zen Buu from Universe 4 with Gast Carcolh also being a potential concern. However if Goku and Vegeta could be stronger than Gohan, Cell finds the challenge to be exhilarating, though he would likely lose in his current condition. And in addition to Gohan's own mastered powers, he was just uncertain, although Gohan at this point believes that Cell could potentially surpass him as well.[134]

    Majin Rebellion[]

After becoming a Majin,[133] Cell's strength has increased even further to an unknown degree. Cell was fast enough to restrain Gohan, Piccolo, and Videl before they could do anything about it.[139] And even after getting struct by a powerful energy blast from the other Gohan that ripped apart his tail,[144][145] Cell was in no worse wear and immediately started his 'fated' battle against the Gohan he was just restraining.[146] This highly suggests that with Majinization and the Zenkai he received from Hildegan, Cell believes himself to be capable of defeating Gohan now.

    Cell Zenkai

    Cell attaining another boost

Despite some time passing and Cell having some light injuries, Cell also able to injure Gohan and even destroy his glasses.[148] And as their battle intensifies, both are sporting more injuries than previously seen. Gohan himself notes that this fight won't be easy.[149][150] Largely equal with one another with their exchanges,[233] Cell becomes mad when he tries to leave, only for Nedwook to intervene and take Gohan's place. However Cell has a low opinion on Nedwook since he killed his people back in his own Universe.[39][154] However Nedwook proves to be far more potent than Cell realized, managing to not only block Cell's attack but repel him and directly blast him.[155] Heavily injured from the assault,[156] Cell is nearly killed from the laser beam barrage.[157] However still very much alive and having lost virtually no energy, Cell fully regenerates and reveals he used Nedwook to attain another Zenkai, boosting his power even further than before.[5][158] With these additions, despite suffering more light injuries and a piece of his head cranium, easily defeats Nedwook and Phipsil.[159][161]

    Cell horrifying Gohan

Cell challenging Gohan after his Zenkai boost

Later on Cell easily defeats both Piccolo's and kills both Videls in the effort to get Gohan riled up from the atrocities he has committed.[162][163][164] And when Gohan learns that Cell killed the Videl he just saved all in the name to see him concentrated for their battle, Cell becomes highly alarmed when Gohan's rage unleashes and uses his absolute full power.[165] Cell is then quickly dispatched, seemingly dying from a mighty energy wave that blasts a large hole through the asteroid.[166][167] But Cell has shown to survive, largely thanks to his training to reinforce his nucleus.[2] This almost proves that in the grand scheme of things (after two Zenkai's and Majinization), Cell is truly or largely close to being Gohan's equal in almost every way, which would easily place him slightly above the 'Super Saiyan 3' tier according to the list made by Salagir.[224] However it is unknown if he received his 'third' Zenkai after his near-death experience against Gohan, though it is highly likely he did.

In regards to Son Bra, Cell openly admits that he no match against her alone, which is why he been creating allies behind the scenes for assistance.[2][179] Nonetheless a surprise full-powered Special Beam Cannon was strong enough to easily penetrate her energy barrier and rip her arm off, which would have likely killed if if she didn't dodge to allow it to pierce through her heart.[169] But upon engaging in close quarters combat, Cell was overpowered before being thrown into the ground.[171] And though speculative, but if Bra was able to launch her energy blast at Cell,[172] he likely would have perished from it. Despite recovering, Cell was easily repelled by her when he attempted to attack Babidi,[173][174] although he immediately jumps back into the fray against her and holds his own for a bit.[175][176]

When Bra appears after taking Babidi to safety,[183] Cell manages to read Bra and deliver a solid elbow to her chin.[185] It shows he is adapting to her battle strategies. And engaging in another fierce brawl,[186] Cell gets caught in her goo clone, which effectively immobilizes him and becoming vulnerable.[187] Cell then receives a single but devastating kick to the gut, effectively blowing a hole through him and destroying his wings. Damaged beyond reason, Cell is only saved from Bra's further attack due to Nedwook intervening.[188] Unable to do anything in his critical condition as the goo covers more of his body, Cell needs a senzu bean to have any chance of returning to the fight.[189] But Bra's intervention via energy wave and a precise finger beam to his nucleus guarantees Cells demise.[190][191] Thus Cell with all of his buffs was truly no match for a Majinized Son Bra in her Super Saiyan 2 state.

At the end Zen Buu managed to resurrect Cell, which took away his Majinization possession.[193] Nonetheless Cell maintains the power boost he got from Majinization since it can never be taken back.[234]

    Majin Rebellion - Statements[]

Prior to the Majin boost it is stated in the novel that he is no match for universe 16 Gohan.[235] But upon becoming a Majin and waiting for the invasion, Cell knows that in real combat he is inferior against two Gohan's simultaneously. Nonetheless Cell views himself as the strongest soldier in Babidi's forces, far surpassing the likes of Dabra.[135] Later on to Babidi and to himself, Cell again expresses the reality that he is still inferior to two Gohan's ganging up on him.[147] After the Zenkai received from battling Nedwook, Cell's powers have grown that he was confident in the novel that he might be able to take on both Gohans at the same time.

Babidi considers Cell to be his greatest asset among his henchmen.[140]

During the Majin Rebellion, Vegeta believes that Cell may now truly be Gohan's equal. Goku also considers Cell to have one of the highest power levels at the tournament, making Goku to place him in the same category as Gohan and Bra.[236]

Both of the Piccolo's from Universe 16 and 18 agreed that it will likely take everything for Gohan to win, if not more. However Cell can easily defeat them, leaving the Namekians to be spectators at best. However if both Gohan's worked together, Cell wouldn't stand a chance.[237]

When Goten managed to defeat Kakarotto with the assistance of Nedwook, he openly stated that Cell was the greatest and strongest threat on the field. Even Gohan admitted that if his counterpart failed against him, nobody would be able to defeat Cell on their side.[238]

According to Salagir, Cell at least by this stage is slightly superior to Mystic Gohan, whom a 'classic Super Saiyan 3'. But is 'way inferior' to Gohan when he is angry. Motivation is the deciding factor between the two at this level.[239]

    Tournament - Fourth Round[]

When surrounded by both Gohan's from Universe 16 and 18, Cell becomes visibly tense and tried to reason with them. Despite not fighting, it highly implied that Cell is truly no match for them if they joined forces against him.[196]

    Fourth Round - Statements[]

Before Vegeta battled Cell, Gohan warns him that Cell is terribly strong, perhaps even stronger than himself.[200]

    Traits[]

Thanks to the cells he inherited from Freeza and King Cold, Cell can easily survive in outer space with no ill consequences.[35]

Since Cell possesses Piccolo's genes, he has enhanced hearing.[16][120]

Blessed with Saiyan genes, Cell has Zenkai, the genetic Saiyan trait to grow stronger after a near-death experience. Was first used after his failed suicide, granting Cell his permanent "Super Perfect Form".[7] In the Multiverse Tournament it was used after his battle with Tapion[133] and from battling Nedwook.[5]

Cell can move and fly at hypersonic speeds, enabling him the ability to travel great distances in short periods of time, or move at "untraceable" speeds while in combat. According to himself, his "flying technique" is vastly superior to that of which humans use, enabling him to move way faster than the Flying Nimbus, or humans like Tien and Chiaotzu.[235]

    Techniques[]

Flight: The ability to levitate by manipulating one's ki. He is seen using this multiple times over his life.[34][86]

Ki Sense: The ability to detect energy from afar. Cell uses this multiple times, with the best case was when he seen Universe 16 going to outer space to combat against Universe 4 Buu.[75]

Telepathy: The ability to communicate using just the mind. Cell uses it to speak to Babidi after seemingly defeating Universe 19.[161] Cell can also use an unorthodox method to speak to Phipsil by sticking his tail through her neck.[159][160]

Ki Blast: A powerful burst of energy that can be charged at various intervals. Used to kill Vegeta during the Cell Games[27] or to attack Nedwook.[39] Cell can even fire heat-seeking versions, though technically they weren't truly his own attack to begin with.[240]

Eye Laser: A thin, concentrated blast of energy fired from the eyes. Used against Bojack during the second round.[92]

Kamehameha: A powerful azure energy wave that can deal massive damage. Used against SSJ2 Teen Gohan but fails miserably, followed by losing his perfect form.[7] Also used again during Buu's rampage against Gohan.[10]

    • Solar Kamehameha: A unique "Super" version of the regular Kamehameha wave that can deal massive amounts of damage and powerful enough to destroy the entire solar system. In his universe, Cell used it in a beam struggle with Super Saiyan 2 Gohan. Without Vegeta's intervention, Cell was easily able to obliterate Gohan with the Kamehameha. Also known as the Perfect Kamehameha.[7]

Instant Transmission: The ability to instantly teleport virtually anywhere (by homing in on a ki signature). Taken from Goku,[7] Cell uses it continuously after collecting Goku's dead cells, most prominently to avoid the remaining Z-Fighters final energy attacks.[25][26]

Energy Shield: A barrier of energy to protect the user from external attacks. Was used to deflect Hildegan's flame attack.[129] Also employed to repel Gohan.[147]

    • Perfect Barrier: An impenetrable shield Cell places around himself to protect him from attacks that also causes damage to anyone who collides into it. He used this barrier technique to counter Dabra's Evil Flame attack.[54] However, it dissipated when Dabra attacked the shield directly at its stress point.[55] But when penetrated, it pops like a soap bubble and even makes a noise reminiscent to it instead of producing a large explosion.[16] It was used again during his battle against Vegeta, even showing the capacity to detonate at will and harm anything caught but himself.[241]

Perfect Shot: A powerful finger blast that can incapacitate even the most sturdiest of opponents. Used in attempt to kill Vegeta in his universe, but Gohan intervenes and takes the damage instead. Also called Time to Die or the Perfect Finisher.[7]

Death Beam: A concentrated energy projectile that fired from the finger tips. Used to kill Trunks in his universe upon surviving his own self-destruction.[7]

    • Barrage Death Beam: A barrage of laser-like projectiles which travel very quickly. Cell used it against Dabra, who was barely able to dodge it.[56]

Taiyoken: (Taiyoken) A technique developed by Tenshinhan, the user raises his hands above his head and creates an extremely bright light which can temporarily blind opponents in near proximity. Cell used it in attempt to blind Dabra.[57]

Regeneration: From Piccolo's Namekian DNA, Cell is able to regenerate from virtually any wound, no matter how severe it is long his nucleus remains intact.[7] It can range from decapitation,[63][64] exploding,[131][132] sliced into pieces,[157][158] and nearly obliterated from a powerful beam.[167] Thanks to training, Cell was able to reinforce his nucleus to withstand a wide attack.[2] Overall Dabra compares it to the likes of Majin Buu since Cell can regenerate without losing any energy.[16]

Absorption: The ability to assimilate other beings to further increase one's power. While it hasn't been seen to be used upon becoming Perfect, Cell can still extend his tail to presumably perform it.[139]

Self-Destruct: The act of blowing yourself up by swelling up your body with potent ki. Used as a last ditch effort to destroy the Earth and Gohan, but ultimately fails in his Sem-Perfect form. Also called Explosion or Unforgivable.[7]

Multi-Form: The unique ability to split yourself into multiple individuals. Has yet to be utilized by Cell, though his second son was seen using this technique against Gast in the novel.[81]

    • Neo Multi-Form (Unnamed): Once sliced into multiple pieces, Cell can form new bodies separate from his main once upon regeneration. Cell refers to this power as a "trick".[242] Despite Piccolo noting that they're fakes, Goku disagrees since they can attack.[204] Later on Vegeta compares these fake bodies as being similar to Cell Jr.'s, so they have less power and resilience than the real Cell.[206]

Final Flash: A incredibly dangerous energy wave that deals massive damage. Has yet to be utilized by Cell, though his second son was seen using this technique against Gast.[243]

Tri-Beam: A powerful blast that uses life force energy to be empowered. While it hasn't been used by Cell yet, in a promotional chapter cover he is seen preparing it against Bra.[244]

Special Beam Cannon: A powerful energy beam that can drill through most opponents and was originally developed by Piccolo. Cell has used this various times over the course of the Multiverse Tournament. Initially Cell used this technique to mortally wound Dabra.[61] Majin Cell uses this against Gohan, managing to injure his hand when Gohan blocked the blast.[151][152] He later uses it again in conjunction with the duo Piccolos' own Special Beam Cannons, the attack being powerful enough to blast Super Saiyan 2 Majin Bra's arm off.[169]

Dirty Fireworks: A technique originally developed by Vegeta. The user outstretches two fingers and fires a telekinetic wave of energy which causes the opponent to explode. Cell used it to kill his first Cell Jr.[78]

Destructo Disc: A razor sharp disk that can cut through most things. Cell used a double version against Gohan in their battle.[147] Also called Kienzan.

    • Death Saucer: Energy disks that follow the person until they successfully manage to cut or explode on something. Hasn't been seen to be used by Cell yet, but Goku notes that he faced this during the Cell Games while watching Vegeta's battle against Dr. Raichi's frost demon ghost warriors. Also called Tsubi Kienzan.[105]
    • Chain Destructo Disc: A barrage of multiple energy disks. Used against Tapion during the third round. Also called Renzoku Kienzan.[122]

Pokopen: The ability to asexually reproduce. Cell used this multiple times to sire offspring. Examples include to destroy the Earth and terrorize the universe,[36][37] create a replacement son for Gast Carcolh,[78][79] conjure three more sons to immobilize Universe 18,[138] and at one point sire mini Juniors to assist against Son Bra.[174][175]

Body Temperature Manipulation (Unnamed): By using his ki to raise his body temperature to the point Cell begins to glow red and making the air smokey, it can be used as a deterrent in physical attacks and to increase his own melee blows. Breathing around Cell can cause pain to run through the throat and nose, with the pressure also capable of doing damage. It was first hinted at when his son used it against Nappa in the Secondary Tournament.[118] Was used against both Hildegan[129] and Gohan[147] in the novel.

Energy Lasso (Unnamed): By concentrating energy in his hands, Cell can create a whip to latch onto his opponent that can be extended and retracted at will. Was used against Gohan in the novel.[147]

Genkidama: One of Cell's most powerful abilities where he draws in ki from his surroundings to create a polarizing blast of immense strength. Was originally meant to be used to destroy the Earth after his fearful victory.[36][245]

    Forms[]

    Giant Form[]

    Giant Cell

    Giant Cell

A power that causes the user to grow to enormous proportions, reaching a stature of nearly ten times their original size and increasing their power by an unspecified multiple. It is achieved thanks to the Namekian cells he inherited from Piccolo.[120] Used during his fight with Tapion, with the latter using Hildegan to fight for him.[124][125]

    Super Perfect Form[]

This is the permanent form Cell has been in ever since his failed suicide against Gohan 27 years ago, possessing a vibrant aura indistinguishable from Gohan's own as a Super Saiyan 2.[7] He been in this state throughout the entire Multiverse Tournament.

    Forms (Former)[]

    Larval State[]

Cell's initial stage in existence where he is just a small coagulation of cells before maturing into larger state upon his development being complete. Was briefly seen when Cell, already in his Imperfect Form, regressed into this state to use Trunks time machine in the hopes of absorbing the Androids in the past.[6]

    Imperfect Form[]

This is cell's original mature form and the state that has no androids integrated into it. Was briefly seen when he killed Trunks before venturing to a new timeline, which became Universe 17.[6]

It was at this level of evolution where Cell could finally communicate and further develop his ki, though he still required vast quantities of bio-extract energy. Above all, his very dna had been written in such a way that he craved and longed for one thing — to find his brother and sister, two specific cyborgs also created by Gero, and absorb them.[10]

    Semi-Perfect Form[]

This is the form Cell takes when he absorbs Android 17. This form was seen briefly when he loses his Perfect Form while fighting Gohan, and is forced to self-destruct. When his explosion failed to kill everyone, Cell regenerates into his Super Perfect Form.[7]

    Perfect Form[]

The final form of Cell that he takes after absorbing Androids 17 and 18. Due to the horrific battle he suffered at the hands of Gohan, it was briefly lost when Android 18 was expunged from him. But due to the genius design of his makeup, Cell returns back in a stronger variant of his Perfect form, dubbed "Super Perfect Form".[7]

    Perfect Form (Power-Weighted)[]

A sub-form of Perfect Cell where he increases his power to the max at the cost of his own speed. Used as a desperate attempt to defeat Gohan, but ultimately fails.[7]

It is still unknown if Cell can still use his power-weighted form or not.

    Majin[]

    Main article: Manipulation Sorcery

While Cell sits in his dorm in the Universe 17's wing, he gets possessed by Babidi of Universe 11 when the wizard decided to possess several participants and spectators.[133][139] He remains in this state until he dies in the Majin Rebellion.[191]

    Weaknesses[]

    Core[]

The main regenerative organ that sustains Cell's life force and existence. If destroyed, Cell will automatically die regardless what he does. On two separate occasions during the Multiverse Tournament, it was destroyed by both Son Bra and Vegeta, which effectively ended the bio-androids life.

Cell's regeneration follows the English manga (including Japanese anime and manga) inside of DBM, since a regenerative nucleus / main core is responsible for fixing up Cell, not all of his cells as described in the English anime.[2][7][82][191] Originally one source implies that his regeneration can be from all of his cells, not from a singular nucleus.[246] But Salagir later reiterates that he indeed does have a 'core', which is needed for regeneration. To add to it, the core can move around freely throughout his body, making it more difficult to kill him, albeit not very fast.[247]

    Zenkai[]

Cell can only achieve it when he doesn't expect it, is deadly, and very much real.[248]

    Trivia[]

    • As expected Cell's main genetic code consists of Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Freeza, and King Cold.[10] However he also has Human cells, though from whom specifically remains ambiguous.[246] Though speculative, it likely stems from Kulilin, Yamcha, Tien, or even from Gohan or Dr. Gero himself.
    • Apparently Cell was originally from 'Universe 15' (one of the 'Mirai Universes'),[249] and later went to Universe 17 to absorb the androids after killing Trunks (who visited U11 briefly).[6] This is pretty significant (and somewhat contradictory) since apparently many other universes that had 'Cell' going to a different universe seemingly originated from U15. Later on it was reinforced by a user making a updated chart on said idea, which Salagir approved by calling "awesome".[17] But after further digging, it is true that Cell did came from a Universe "like 15", which is also applied to the other Universes similar to Universe 17.[18] Nonetheless this action resulted in I'K'L' to become the strongest person in the entirety of Universe 15 (with Broly still existing in peaceful times).[250]
    • It is unknown if Cell had to deal with Babidi's forces after killing the Z-Fighters. When Dabra asked Cell if they met in his universe, Cell dodges the question although Cell internally states that they never met at all in Universe 17 since he knows nothing about Dabra or his abilities, thus heavily implying that Cell never dealt with Babidi's forces.[8]
    • It is unknown if Cell destroyed Planet Namek or even ventured into Otherworld thanks to his acquisition of the Instant Transmission technique.
    • Although unconfirmed, but Android 17 is likely no longer a part of Cell and probably perished during Cell's failed suicide explosion.
    • So far in DBM, Cell has yet to be seen using certain techniques such as the Galick Gun, Big Bang Attack, Telekinesis, Psycho Crash, Kiai, Mouth Energy Wave, Ultimate Blitz, Ultimate Wave, Perfect Flash, Negative Power Rain, Explosive Wave, Multi-Form, Afterimage, Rapid Fire, and many more techniques seen in various Dragon Ball media. However it also highly possible due to his makeup that Cell can now perform or learn the Namekian's Demon Hand, Masenko, Mimicry, Bending Kamehameha, Feet Kamehameha, Father-Son Kamehameha (with a son), Double Kamehameha, Instant Kamehameha, Mafuba, Mafuba Gaeshi, Destructive Wave, Chasing Bullet, Makosen, Hyper Explosive Demon Wave, Light Grenade, Scatter Shot, Hellzone Grenade, Magic Materialization, Galaxy Breaker, Shine Shot, Death Ball, Supernova, Death Storm, Imprisonment Ball, Death Psycho Bomb, Death Wave, Nova Strike, Death Cannon, and many more potential techniques.
    • Cell does indeed possess the Kaioken, but Salagir doesn't intend for Cell to use it at all in DBM.[251]
    • Cell gave birth to four more additional Juniors during Buu's rampage when forcing him to fight against Gohan from Universe 16. Each one was killed,[10] but weren't shown or mentioned to be revived when Porunga was summoned. Nonetheless they were revived and made their debut again after Vegeta defeated Kakarotto.[117]
    • According to Salagir, Cell will likely be the only person to get a Zenkai in DBM.[252] This was proven when he got one against Hildegan and Nedwook. And despite the fact that Kienzan cannot be broken by hard skin or being ride like a surf board, Cell the only one who found a way to redirect it by a unique method.[252] This was shown when he used it to deflect it and kill Tien.
    • Due to time restraints, the entire process of Cell's regeneration wasn't shown against Hildegan. But it was confirmed he did regenerated from his core.[253]
    • Cell references a 'What-If Scenario' from the video game, 'Dragon Ball Budokai' when he looks back on a past dream where he accidentally absorbed Kulilin instead of 18.[13]
    • At one point the members of Universe 18 speculated if Cell may have grown weaker over time since infinite energy doesn't exist, as shown with the participants with Universe 14.[40] However this is unlikely to be true since he is a biological hybrid, while the U14 Androids are cyborgs who need maintenance to maintain top shape.
    • Vegeta once theorized that it is possible Dr. Gero engineered Cell to progress far more quickly than a normal Saiyan.[87] This was later confirmed to be true by Cell himself.[10]
    • As speculated by Vegeta during his match against Trunks in the second round, Cell may in fact could learn Trunks perfected "Ultra Super Saiyan" tactics to be applied to his own Power-Weighted form in mere moments. It remains to be seen if this is true or not.[254]
    • Through unknown means (likely from his enhanced hearing), Cell is aware of Gast's backstory and the overwhelming power he possessed prior to him battling his son.[15]
    • Reason why Cell didn't feel the Z-Fighters leaving Earth to fight Broly is due to them always lowering their ki, and the fact he didn't feel Broly's rising ki since New Planet Vegeta is very far away from Earth.[255]
    • Cell is aware of the Frost Demon potential for further evolution. It might take years of effort and drive, but believes that perhaps even further transformations could be unlocked. He himself had no need of these levels, for he was already at the height of perfection in his current body. But the potential within the Frost Demons, as well as the Saiyans, had largely contributed to his own strength as well as the progress he’d been able to make over the years through training.[105]
    • Cell fears Buu's threat that he could forcibly be turned back into his Imperfect state, which is something Buu himself believes he is capable of.[99] Nonetheless Cell refuses to allow this, especially if the chance to forever lose his perfection occurs.[10]
    • According to Cell he has nearly died numerous times, growing stronger with each incident via Zenkai. This includes when he forcibly reverted himself into his larval state to travel back in time.[10]
    • Based on the evidence presented to us, it is unclear if Cell really did killed Piccolo or not.[30][223]
    • In a alternative ending, Cell was meant to destroy the Earth with a Genkidama, but ultimately never became the final product since "Cell wanted to see the terror on the people's faces".[36][245]
    • Unlike most entities, Cell does not require to eat or move much to stay functional.[256][257] However he does sleep time from time.,[13] though evidence also points to the contrary.[258] Nonetheless Buu also believes that Cell never sleeps at all.[259]
    • Cell appears to have a wish in mind to make, but it currently remains unknown.[256] When asked by a organizer on what it could be, Cell sternly told them that it none of their business and to continue the matches, which effectively conceals Cell's intentions.[260]
    • It is implied that since Cell had no reaction at seeing Porunga and due to the choice of narrative, Cell could have met either Shenron or Porunga after killing the Z-Fighters 27 years ago.[108]
    • In the novel following South Kaioshin defeating Butta, Cell lied to Universe 18 that he never heard or met Bojack.[40] This is seemingly held to be true since in the comic and novel Cell gives no indication that he knows Bojack.[4][86][87] However in actuality, Cell indeed has killed Bojack and his gang after devastating Planet Earth.[38]
    • There are several people in the Multiverse Tournament Cell never encountered. He never met Broly due to him dying in space since he couldn't locate Earth,[261] Tapion,[256] possibly Hoi and Hildegan,[262] and Dr. Raichi since he quietly 'disappeared' since he believed all Saiyans were killed by Freeza.[263]
    • Comically Cell has had several encounters against Gast in the minicomics. During one battle in the tournaments finale, they have a contest to see who can regenerate faster from severed arms.[264] Another incident is where they fail to hit each other in 10,000 degrees of gravity.[265]
    • If Cell wins the multiverse tournament according to the minicomics, he will wish for true love since his Juniors need a mother. Due to this wish Cell will live happily ever after, have more kids with her, and leisurely destroy the entire universe.[266] A similar event happens in the novel during the night of the first round where Cell, while asleep, dreams of absorbing Androids 17 and 18 from Universe 14 (after changing his metabolism thanks to a unknown assistance method from the Vargas), killed Bulma, Videl, and Kulilin while absorbing Yamcha from Universe 9, absorbed Android 16's battery from Universe 12, before taking his spot back in his universe's space. Cell then defeats Bojack, Tapion, Pan, Goku, and finally Vegetto in the multiverse tournament before wishing for true love.[13]
    • In one minicomic scenario, Cell absorbs Phipsil and Nedwook simultaneously to attain his 'Ultra Perfect Form.'[267]
    • According to Salagir, Cell uses very little energy for regeneration, a stark contrast compared to most Namekians where a large deal of energy is necessary.[268] Also Salagir believes the regeneration to be quite fast, usually in a fraction.[269]
    • Regarding the Majin mark, akin to Vegeta, Salagir believes that Cell was never controlled by Babidi to begin with and played along with him.[270]
    • Captain Ginyu believes that among the infinite universes in existence, there is likely one where a counterpart of Cell is so strong that he could destroy whole galaxies with a sneeze.[271]

Perfect Cell publicly called people to his tournament. Arale could actually have come (but she didn't, because Satan is more fun I guess). The end of Piccolo's sentence was : "Even myself back when I was evil / I was Piccolo Daimao." He says "even" because 1) he is personally involved 2) he was the first worldwide threat, so again could be countered by Arale. Not because he implies to be stronger than Cell. The fact only Gokû knows her and doesn't really care fits with him, and of course, Piccolo won't hear more about it. All visual gags of this page were added by Taopaipai, including Total Recall.]

    246. 246.0 246.1 Dragon Ball Multiverse - FAQ: What is Dragon Ball? What is Canon? - Full Details Link [URL: https://www.dragonball-multiverse.com/en/dragon-ball-summary.html] (Actual Wording: Cell is a genetically created monster, who possess in himself all the skills and powers of all our heroes (Saiyans, Nameks, humans, and even Freeza). He can heal any wound and regenerate a limb, even his entire self. The only way to kill him is destroying him completely, to the last cell.) [Note: Was later changed by Salagir to reflect he in fact has just a core.]
    247. Dragon Ball Multiverse - Salagir Comments: Page 1448 [Nameks can regenerate if their brain isn't harmed (quote Piccolo, Buu saga, after he was a broken statue and back to normal offscreen). The more powerful they are, the more of their body they can regenerate, and the less difficult it is for them to do so. But the whole brain is needed, so our Piccolo Daimao there, dead.

About Cell, as quoted earlier in the comments, the "core" is needed. It's a single cell or lump of flesh which is basically "him". And he can regenerate from that. Now, where is this core? Cell says in his head, but when his head was destroyed it wasn't a problem (see post "Oh boy" right above). This is obviously an error from Toriyama, but well now we'll work with it. Cell must have lied when he pointed to his head, but he usually doesn't lie about that...
And if he lies about this, he could lie about this core even, he could lie about everything! Although the explanation page of the core is almost some narration, event if Cell talks, it's clearly an information from the author to the reader. So in DBM, we keep the core, and we decide that Cell is able to move it thru his body. Like this when he points to his head it's half a lie, maybe he intended to keep it there for the rest of the fight.] [All I said doesn't count for Cell Juniors. We don't even know if they regenerate. But in DBM, I will consider they hare a core, that they may not be able to move, and they may regenerate, but maybe less, like a weaker Cell, as a weaker Namek can't regenerate as easily. Even if cell can move his core, he can't move it super-fast enough to escape a speed attack like Gast did. Gast got an awesome perception. He was able to see that Cell Jr. had a core and to see where it is. That would make of him a very dangerous opponent for Cell.]

    251. Dragon Ball Multiverse - Personal Message to Salagir (Q: Can Perfect Cell use Kaioken or not? He been able to use unique powers like Giant Form that he never did in canon, so I wonder if he could use some of Goku's more unique powers like Kaioken or even Genkidama. A: He says he can do Genkidama in the manga. As for Kaioken, he is perfect, so this technique certainly won't affect him. I don't intend to make him use it.)
    252. 252.0 252.1 Dragon Ball Multiverse: Salagir Comments: Page 1218 [Bra didn't have, and won't have a Zenkai powerup. Nobody in DBM will. Maybe Cell.] [Kienzan being broken by hard skin or used as surfboard is non-canon and anime only. That won't be possible in DBM (in the Cell special, we even re-did the scene of Kulilin's Kienzan against Cell to show a different way).]
    253. Dragon Ball Multiverse - Salagir Comments: Page 1121 [Hi all. The previous page wasn't understood by all, so here is what happened: • Cell was exploded in many pieces. • One of these pieces contained the kernel cell. • He regenerated from this cell, but in normal size. • Then, small and sharp with his speed and wings, he attacked Hildegan by surprise, who didn't have time to turn into smoke. • Hildegan is killed, and Tapion inside him, didn't survive the shock. DBM is done by amateurs, and try to move forward the fastest it can. That's why each scene is reduced to the strict minimum. So sometimes, I spend less time that I should to make a clear story. Sorry.]

    255. Dragon Ball Multiverse - Salagir Comments: Page 171 [Q: The Movie can not I Repeat: CANNOT Fit the story due to several reasons. A: It's true that whatever we do, it's obviously improbable that two huge guys attack our heroes at the same time and basically don't meet. So I take care of the inconsistencies but the "feeling" it's not right will always be there, or I have to change the entire story. In fact I wanted to add a reference to their meeting in my scenario, but I riped it off in order to make it faster. Here is it : (all the team is beaten by Broly) Kulilin: Gokû! Teleport and take Broly with you... to Cell! Let them fight each other!! Son Gokû: No! No the Earth wouldn't survive it! About the fact Vegeta leaves the planet : Gokû came with them (he isn't called as Kaioh mercenary) so Vegeta know he can come back easily. Gokû already moved from Earth to Namek, he is basically their ride back. About Cell didn't feel Broly's Ki: errr... the planet New Vegeta is far, far away. About Cell permitting the Z-team to leave the earth: As our warriors behave with low ki most of the time, Cell doesn't know if their are away or just singing songs under sakura saku (love hina fan? er...). Broly's movie, and my version, didn't take more than 1-2 days.]

A: #18 and #17 being "just a human modified with a few devices" (Kulilin's words), I think they eat. #16 most likely don't. A: I was going to answer that Buu is a huge unique individual in Dabra's mind, but it's true a Namek just made the same thing before. We can also add the fact that if a Namek healing himself uses an enormous amount of energy to do it, Cell uses a very small amount. He's as good as new, not like a Namek, but more like Buu.)
    269. Dragon Ball Multiverse - Salagir's Comments: Page 124 (Q: it takes Cell at least 2 minutes to regenerate. A: You and many others said Cell is slow to regenerate.. It amazes me. Granted, I don't remember how it goes in the anime (and too lazy to check), but in the manga (and checked), Cell, like any Namekjin, regenerates in one panel. I really seams he grows all back in a fraction of second.)
    270. Dragon Ball Multiverse - Salagir Comments: Page 1745 [Babidi isn't dead and not the cause of "M" breaking. That is indeed Son Bra breaking free from it. Vegeta (and Cell here) didn't lost their "M" because in both cases, they never were controlled by Babidi and played with him.]
