Son Gohan (孫 悟飯, Son Gohan) is one of the main protagonists of the Dragon Ball series and a recurring character in Dragon Ball Multiverse, being the eldest son of Goku and Chi-Chi. Nearly identical to his canon counterpart, he became a scholar through his mother’s intentions and had a daughter with his wife Videl, naming her Pan. Because of his potential being unlocked by Old Kaioshin, he remains in the prime of his maximum power despite the fact he stopped fighting.

He chose not to join the Multiverse Tournament since he dislikes fighting. Instead he, Videl, Piccolo, Goten, Trunks, and Bra spectate while the pupils of Goku (Uub and Pan), Vegeta, Goku himself, and Gotenks participated for the event.

Appearance

Gohan appears to look very similar to his last appearance in the canon manga, though his overall appearance looks slightly older and more mature.

Just like every other Saiyan (except Vegeta's children), Gohan possess black eyes and hair, with the latter being spiked without having any of his former bangs. As for clothing, Gohan wears business casual clothes and sports black glasses on his face. Despite not training in the last 20 years, Gohan is still in incredible shape and has a physique similar to his father. Also like his father, Gohan is usually seen with a happy expression on his face, though it will harden if the situation calls for it. Ultimately he greatly resembles his Dragon Ball GT counterpart.

When Gohan was a teenager in Age 774, he wore the same training clothing that he did in canon before the Budokai Tenkaichi. It was a Piccolo-esque outfit and his hairstyle was spiky, but maintained one large bang and a second, yet much smaller and thinner bang. Over a decade later Gohan looked almost identical to his present self in Age 794, but was usually seen wearing casual clothing.

When still being a child during Coola's invasion, Gohan continued to wear Piccolo-esque clothing while maintaining his mullet-like hairstyle. By the time the Cell Games were approaching, Gohan still wore Piccolo's clothing, but was older, more muscular, and sported a hairstyle more similar to Goku's very own. In addition he wore a cape and constantly maintained his Super Saiyan state.

Personality

Just like his last appearance in the original manga, Gohan is largely identical in every aspect by still being the kind-hearted and loving person he has always been known for.

As a father and husband, Gohan cares very deeply for his new family and will sacrifice anything to protect them. This is shown when Gohan "persuades" Kakarotto to fight fairly with his daughter and how he protected his overall family during Zen Buu's rampage. Gohan had even threaten to kill Vegeta once when the latter almost killed Pan in attempt to see Gohan's hidden potential.

Due to being a scholar, Gohan was able to deduce scientific truths about Vegetto's Super Saiyan 3 transformation from observation alone. Gohan is also shown to be highly perceptive since he was one of the few to notice the changes to "Cell Jr." before his match against Gast Carcolh. Gohan also noticed that Goku and Freeza had just fought a mental battle, something Videl failed to realize. Gohan has also displayed tactical leadership skills during emergencies by immediately ordering Goten to protect the girls as he and Piccolo hunt down Babidi.

Gohan highly respects and loves his father since he was a young boy. Throughout the entire Multiverse Tournament Gohan conversed with Goku about the nature of some battles. This admiration also extends to Piccolo as well, since the Namekian had raised and protected Gohan during the darker years of his youth. Their connection is so strong that Gohan didn't hesitate to protect Piccolo during Broly's rampage.

Gohan's connection to his U16 counterpart

Gohan has an unique chemistry with his Universe 16 counterpart. Since they're identical in every possible way besides life experiences once Vegetto was born, the two can rely on each other without saying a single word. This was first demonstrated when they both protected their balconies during Broly's rampage. This was shown again when both Gohan's coordinated their movements to save Universe 16 from Cell's clutches. And once it was revealed that Son Bra was Majinized and planned on killing them both, the Gohan's formulated a plan together without having to speak physically or through telepathy.

Despite having incredible power, Gohan lacks the passion for fighting that is typical for most Saiyans. Nonetheless, Gohan will do whatever is necessary to uphold peace and prosperity among his home planet (training to defeat Cell, going through a magical ritual to fight Majin Buu, etc). Also, Gohan was deeply shocked of seeing Cell again, and was disgusted to see so many former enemies participating in the tournament.

Biography

Overall History

Gohan has the same life just like his canon appearances in the original manga, being involved in intense battles against Saiyan warriors such as Raditz, Nappa, and Vegeta.

However some liberties and changes were incorporated from non-manga material.

Coola's Invasion

During Age 764 on Planet Earth, Gohan is shown to be having a picnic with his father and mother. While enjoying their family time, they were suddenly ambushed by Coola and his armored squadron. As certain events unfold, Gohan is seen battling Neizu with Kulilin. As the battle progresses, Neizu successfully manages to incapacitate Kulilin with his Bind Wave.

As Gohan is concerned over Kulilin's safety, Neizu proclaims to be done playing around and prepares to kill Gohan once and for all. Before he could release his Bind Wave, Neizu was suddenly struck by Piccolo's Special Beam Cannon and dies. Happy to see Piccolo again, they both fly down to check up on Kulilin. After talking for a bit, all three were interrupted by a huge explosion caused by Goku's battle with Coola. When Coola has finally been managed to be killed in battle, Gohan is seen with his father and friends to celebrate their latest victory.

The Legendary Super Saiyan

During Age 767 between the 20th and 26 May, Gohan (whom maintaining his full-powered Super Saiyan state) was seen to be having a picnic with friends as Kulilin sings karaoke. When Gohan asks Vegeta to join them, Vegeta is clearly annoyed by the festivities. As Vegeta admonishes him for trying to have a "good" time and should use this opportunity to train instead in the Room of Spirit and Time. Gohan happily retorts by saying that they still have plenty of time before Cell's tournament. But once Paragus arrives, certain events unfold which conclude with Broly becoming the Legendary Super Saiyan.

After everyone is defeated but Goku, Broly killed Paragus and continues to get stronger as the comet continues to get closer to New Planet Vegeta. With the entire situation looking bleak, Piccolo proposes the Genkidama, though Goku states that he needs a distraction for it to work. Noticing his father's plea for help, Gohan readies himself for combat. Gohan immediately tackles Broly all by himself (which marvels the likes of even Vegeta), and succeeds in landing a direct kick to his chest. Despite his best efforts, all of his blows were ineffective and was defeated in one blow by Broly smashing his head against the ground. Unconscious, Gohan returns to his base form as Broly prepares to kill the young Gohan. Before he could do so, Oolong distracts Broly by taking the form of Paragus. Goku immediately seizes the opportunity to strike Broly with the Genkidama and hurl him straight into the comet. With Broly's ki signature gone from the explosion, Gohan (who is back into being a Super Saiyan) is seen to be relaxing with the Z-Fighters before Goku has enough strength to teleport everyone back to Earth.

Bojack Unbound

Gohan and the others dealt with Bojack and his Galaxy Soldiers shortly after the Cell Games in Age 767. Ultimately Gohan became a Super Saiyan 2 and ended the threat.

Broly: Second Coming

During Age 774 between April 20 and the 7th of May, Gohan is seen to be looking for Goten for a training session. Noting that ever since Goten learned to fly perfectly recently, it is almost impossible to know where he is at sometimes. Very quickly Gohan becomes incredibly tensed and horrified upon sensing Broly's sudden ki appearing out of the blue. Gohan immediately becomes a Super Saiyan and flies towards that area, still unable to believe what he is sensing. Upon sensing Vegeta's presence on the battlefield, yet no longer senses the boys, Gohan dives into the ocean since he suspects they're drowning. While searching in the dark, Gohan finds Android 18 also looking around. When she tells Gohan to fight Broly as she looks for the young ones, Gohan blasts out of the ocean and immediately assaults Broly in his gut. When Gohan regroups with Vegeta and tells him that they need to finish off Broly before he transforms, Broly catches on and immediately goes into his Legendary Super Saiyan state. Noting that Broly can no longer be harmed in his heightened form, Gohan fails to hold back Vegeta to not confront Broly since the Saiyan prince believes himself to be superior. Witnessing Vegeta being sent flying to the wayside as Android 18 emerges with a battered Goten and Trunks, Gohan is horrified of seeing Goten in such poor condition, Rage reaching to a new threshold, Gohan ascends into a Super Saiyan 2.

Gohan immediately knees Broly in the face before the Legendary Saiyan could blast a still-flying Vegeta. As Gohan is knocking around Broly, both Vegeta and Piccolo come up with a plan to stop Broly once and for all while marveling that Gohan is currently the strongest warrior. During their match, Broly's ki doubles which is strong enough to push Gohan back. With the tide turned against him, Gohan is quickly overwhelmed by Broly's unstoppable power. Soon after Gohan is struct in the back as Goku in Otherworld becomes a Super Saiyan 3 to assist the z-fighters. As Gohan is caught in Broly's grip and at his complete mercy, Piccolo attacks Broly and takes Gohan place while ordering him to join Vegeta for the ultimate finish. Catching on, Gohan thanks Piccolo before he flies off and prepares to utilize his Kamehameha wave. After seeing Piccolo getting brutalized to a extreme extent, Gohan immediately fires his Kamehameha before Vegeta was truly ready. As the two blasts snake towards Broly, Goku joins in the fray as well and fires his Kamehameha to ensure Broly's demise. As Goku teleports away while Broly is hit by the triple blasts, Gohan immediately powers down and turns to see if his father was still there since he believes he saw him, but to no avail. Piccolo then subsequently regenerates himself and says that once the combined energy waves reach the sun, Broly will surely perish. This later becomes the case since Broly was indeed killed shortly after upon reaching the flames of the sun.

Hildegan Uprising

While the exact details are unknown compared to the canon movie, Gohan and the others did dealt with this crisis back in their universe around Age 774. This was proven when Goku immediately recognizes Hildegan during the Second Round of the Multiverse Tournament.

Nighttime Lecture (Vegetto Heiresses)

In Age 785, Gohan pops into Pan's room and lovingly reassures his daughter that everything is all right since she believes that a monster was under her bed. As she cries in his chest, he continues to pet her and states that if a monster was ever under her bed and dangerous enough, the whole Earth will be in total danger from his wrath.

In Age 786 in the Room of Spirit and Time, Gohan stands before Uub and Pan as Goku and Vegeta were intensely sparring against each other. As the fighting got even more violent, Gohan covers his eyes as Goku releases a Kamehameha at point-blank range. As the fighting comes to a close, Gohan sees Vegeta overwhelming Goku. As the two older Saiyans talk, Vegeta quickly points at Gohan and warns him to protect the door from his blast. As Gohan becomes shocked by the announcement, Vegeta fires his Big Bang Attack. Calling Vegeta crazy, Gohan immediately grabs the blast in his attempt to nullify it.

Having flashbacks of his time with Pan, Gohan silently crushes the Big Bang Attack until nothing remained. Still having flashbacks with his daughter, Gohan's eyes change as his rage becomes palpable in the atmosphere. As Vegeta silently walks away towards the door, Gohan calls his name to make him stop. Still angry, Gohan gives Vegeta a ultimatum that if he ever puts Pan's life in danger ever again, he'll kill him without any hesitation. Having a silent stare off with one another, Vegeta walks away while complying with Gohan's statement. Gohan stands strong as Vegeta walks away before the scene shifts into Age 794 where Gohan sees Pan from Universe 16 fighting against Bojack.

The Power of my Elders (Novel version)

Nine years before the Multiverse Tournament (which makes it Age 785), Vegeta asks Goku to teleport Gohan on Kami's Palace for a training session in the Room of Spirit and Time. In addition to Uub and Pan, they all venture in together for a sparring session. He is later seen to be watching Goku's fight with Vegeta as Super Saiyan 2. Noting how incredible both warriors were, he listens to their conversation over strength. When Vegeta mention's Gohan incredible potential, Gohan begins to feel uneasy. About to test Gohan, Vegeta tells Gohan to stop him from destroying the entrance way. Without warning and to Gohan's horror, Vegeta becomes a Super Saiyan 2 and launches his Big Bang attack, with Pan being in the way of the blast. Without pause, Gohan intercepted the attack and stopped it in almost a instant. With no damage on his being (but his glasses and button-up white shirt were destroyed), Gohan is absolutely furious at Vegeta's reckless behavior.

As Vegeta powers down and marvel's at Gohan's attained power, Gohan is still utterly mad how Vegeta had risked Pan's life and forcing him to come here for such disregard. As Vegeta plays it off and leaves the chamber, Gohan stops him before he could fly away. As Gohan questions Vegeta on why he did this, Vegeta merely states to become the greatest warrior alive. When he tries to leave again, Gohan stops him once more and threatens to kill Vegeta if he ever does that to Pan again. When Vegeta takes note, he instantly vanishes as Gohan begins to calm himself. As Gohan reconciles with Pan, both Uub and Goku congratulate on his strength. After talking about Gohan's lack of training since Cell, Piccolo fixes up Gohan's outfit. When Goku tells Gohan not to be mad at Vegeta, Gohan calmly says he'll try despite being still somewhat pissed at seeing Pan in danger. When Gohan somewhat agrees with the others to forget about it, Gohan calmly bids farewell and flies off. Despite being calm now, the image of Pan in danger still doesn't leave his mind. He then silently curses at Vegeta.

Multiverse Tournament

After being summoned by the Vargas, Gohan is seen on Kami's lookout with all of his friends and family members. When Gohan learns that he can come as a spectator, he decides to do so along with Piccolo. When it is time to debark, Gohan is seen entering the shuttle before it closes and teleports to "Universe 0". Upon arriving to his universe's balcony, Gohan begins to wonder who are the competitors to the seventeen spaces to his left as Piccolo notes about the right side. To his utter shock, he sees Cell and tells the others about his presence (which Cell merely shrugs off).

First Round: Lots of Old Foes Here

Standing in the background, Gohan observes Goten and Trunks observing the other universes. When Gohan notices Universe 10, he states that this universe had nothing to do with Freeza, and most likely cannot turn into Super Saiyans. Piccolo quickly notes to Gohan that Namekians are also part of that universe since he can sense Nail. Gohan then watches Goten and Trunks run off to talk to the universe 10 combatants, and wishes them luck. When Gohan questions his father that he should go visit Baddack, Goku merely states that Baddack isn't a father to him (which Piccolo finds twisted). Along with everyone else, Gohan notices the arrival of the participants from Universe 19 and the new competitor for 20. Everyone is shocked to see that the warrior is Broly, frozen solid in ice. When Goku states his disgust at seeing Broly here, Gohan firmly tells his father that there are other threats around too, which Cell overhears and smiles about. Gohan then listens to Uub and Goku's conversation about Uub wondering how Goku seemingly knows everyone here before the tournament began.

Upon witnessing the first match of the tournament, Gohan states that Nappa is far stronger than their own universe's version. Goku agrees, but also notes that Nappa is also quite old. Piccolo then joins the conversation and says that Cargot is a strong warrior, and that he won't lose very easily. Gohan is next shown to be seen silently watching Goku flying to his match against Mahissu. Before Gohan and the others could congratulate his father on his effortless victory, all the combatants of Universe 13 arrive to speak with Gohan's universe. Gohan silently listens to most of the conversation until Emperor Vegeta says that he wishes to kill Freeza a second time. Gohan tells him that many people would love to do just that and then tells Vegeta to be careful since Freeza managed to him at one point in his own universe. When Kakarotto comes in and says that he has managed to kill both Piccolo and Kulilin, both Gohan and Goten utterly shock Kakarotto by dramatically telling him that he is their "father".

First Round: Uub and Buu Get the Honors

When he sees the conclusion of Fat Buu and Bujin's fight, Gohan notices U12 Trunks and asks him if he is the same "Future" Trunks who came to help them. Trunks confirms this, though admits it about ten years for him compared to twenty-seven Gohan has experienced. Trunks is also surprised how Gohan has grown very differently compared to the Universe 12 version. When Gohan hearty agrees with Trunks statement and notes he is now the elder, Trunks shows Gohan his new friend. When this friend turns out to be Android 16, Gohan is very pleased to see 16 again, which the android reflects in kind. When Gohan asks if he is a challenger, 16 agrees though he is here to kill at least one Son Goku. Trying to hide his nervousness about 16's remark, Gohan bids them farewell and joins back with his wife.

Upon joining back with Videl, he began to tell her how happy he is to see Trunks from the future again. When she states that he has already told her this, Gohan is surprised about this. Upon being interrupted by his counterpart and realizing he is in the wrong universe, Gohan shamefully tells his counterpart that he is sorry, which U16 Gohan comically accepts as Videl looks amused yet embarrassed. At that moment, U18 Videl appears and asks why Gohan is around there as the other members of Universe 18 arrive to investigate. Upon everyone making their proper introductions, Gohan listens to his counterpart on why the Vargas has selected two identical universes to participate.

When Uub manages to win his match though his left arm was cut off, he is shown to desperately plead to anyone who can fix his arm back. As Gohan watches to whole situation silently with Videl, he sees the arrival of Babadi and his henchmen. While offscreen, but when Uub tells them off, Gohan sees Zen Buu fixing Uub's arm for free and telling Goku that all of the beings with some power now dwell in him.

First Round: Two Universes in Bad Luck

When Nail manages to win against Reacum, Gohan asks out loud that it a "pity" that Nail didn't give them a hand against Reacum on Namek. When Vegeta puts in his two cents as well, Piccolo is seen to be visibly annoyed yet says nothing.

When Vegeta was scheduled to fight King Vegeta from Universe 10, Gohan asks Vegeta if he doesn't want to fight his "father" upon noticing him thinking. When Trunks corrects Gohan by stating that this King Vegeta is in fact Vegeta himself, Vegeta merely shrugs if off and states his desire to fight Goku soon.

First Round: Two Giants Face to Face

When Cell was about to fight Dabra, Vegeta is seen to be harassing Pan to lose her next match against Kakarotto. When Pan became very upset about it, she asks her father for assistance, which results in Gohan telling Vegeta to knock it off [respectively]. As the match between the bio-android and demon king continues, Gohan notes that Cell is exactly at the same level of power during the beginning of the Cell Games. When Cell successfully uses the Taiyoken, Gohan manages to cover his eyes just in the nick of time.

First Round: Pan's First Fight to the Death

When Cell finally won his match, Gohan was surprised that Cell was actually stronger than Dabra, though Piccolo interrupts and says that his regeneration was the key for his success.

Upon witnessing his alternative daughter's death and seeing his counterpart powering up to his absolute maximum, Gohan solemnly listens to his daughter wishing to forfeit out of fear of dying and realizing her lack of comparative strength. Being the loving father he is, Gohan tells Pan that she can be just as strong as her counterpart from Universe 16, and that she will transform in no time. This statement somewhat cheers up Pan.

First Round: The Lunch Break we've all waited for

Gohan was visible in the background when Goku went to congratulate Kulilin on his victory. Gohan is next seen to be happily eating with his universe members during the lunch break.

When Broly is about to be released for his match, Gohan tells Pan to go behind the energy barrier since she will be much safer though won't be able to see much. As she protests, Gohan tells her to listen to him and that there's no more discussion about it. He asks Videl to hold his glasses for him before she and Pan went up, which she asks Gohan to not be reckless if carnage does occur.

When Broly starts his rampage, Gohan raises his guard for the upcoming assault. He later instinctively protects the members from his universe from Broly's attacks, looking surprised to find his counterpart from Universe 16 doing exactly the same.

First Round: The Terrifying Power of the Legendary Super Saiyan

As Broly and Vegetto fists clash in a brilliant exchange, Gohan is shown with Goku, Piccolo, and Vegeta to be withstanding their magnificent shockwaves. As both fighters prepare to use their signature techniques, Gohan powers up to his absolute maximum and tells Piccolo to stay behind him.

First Round: Vegetto's Last Resources

When everything begins to settle down from the energy collision, Gohan asks Piccolo if he is alright, which he confirms. With Broly's ki fast approaching the arena and now higher than Vegetto's, Gohan silently listens to Goku expressing his concerns that they should have helped when they had the chance. In the novelization, when it looks like Vegetto is being overpowered again by Broly's strength, Gohan considers jumping in to help after hearing Goku's and Piccolo concerns, but alternate Piccolo speaks to him and asks him to thrust in them (universe 16). Gohan then decides to wait.

Gohan is subsequently blinded by the light created from Vegetto's Super Saiyan 3 transformation alongside Goku, Vegeta, and Piccolo. Amazed by Vegetto's power, Gohan states that Vegetto's mass must be the same as Earth's moon, while having the density of a black hole.

After witnessing Vegetto's victory and seeing 18's match against Yamcha, Gohan is present during Arale's fight against Mary Sue. After seeing the reactions from Vegeta, Bra, and Trunks about Mary Sue, Gohan states that her presence has quite the impression among their family.

First Round: Double Trouble

When Universe 19 reveals their Ultra Armor as Xeniloum was about to face Zen Buu, Gohan joins in on the conversation and informs Naurb that most people are stronger than Freeza nowadays. When Loopwhirl reveals that they have a weapon that could finish Broly in one stroke, Gohan becomes shocked since Broly is invincible. Before Loopwhirl could elaborate, Nedwood tells him to shop since they shouldn't reveal their arsenal so soon. When it looked like that Buu was going to absorb Xeniloum, Gohan became shocked by it, which left Goten to ask if such a action was even allowed.

First Round: The Taste of Revenge

As the matches continue to come and go by, Gohan hears Vegeta's irritability for not being done already. When Gohan tells Vegeta that they are far from being done, Vegeta says that it feels like they have been standing here for two years already. During Android 16's match against Eleim, Gohan is worried about 16's safety once he was put at the mercy of the helolite ultra. Since he was a machine, he wouldn't get resurrected by the dragon balls, making Gohan wish he would give up instead of facing total annihilation. Luckily for them all, Android 16 forfeits the match. When King Cold was challenged to fight Universe 9 Videl, Gohan along with his universe 16 counterpart was amazed by her beauty, despite getting admonished by his wife.

First Round: Disclosure! Hidden Characters and Shapes

When King Cold wins his match against Videl, Gohan listens to Piccolo that both Goku and Future Trunks would fall to King Cold if he transformed all those years ago. When Gohan states that Cold is far more stronger than his sons ever were. Piccolo agrees, and even states that he may be as strong as Android 17 &18, or even 16.

First Round: Saiyans, Nameks and other Demons

When Gast Carcolh was called in for his match, Gohan wonders who is this competitor. When Cell Jr. comes out of his apartment's barracks, Gohan [or his U16 counterpart] says "wait a second" in trying to figure out how Cell Jr. has gotten so much stronger.

During the official conclusion of the First Round, Gohan is seen eating dinner among the members of his universe, Universe 12, and Universe 16.

A Good Night's Sleep

During the night of the first day, Gohan is first shown to be preparing for sleep along with Videl, Pan and Uub. As Bra is lost in her own thoughts while sitting down, both Goku and Vegeta make small talk.

While the members of Universe 13 were lost in their own thoughts in their apartment, from outside Gohan knocks on the door. Entering the apartment without permission and ignoring Vegeta's question, Gohan quickly yet mentally notes his former fear for Raditz who successfully turned his life from a paradise into a nightmare. Gohan then looks at Nappa, remembering how he killed all of his father's friends and was very afraid of him back then. Briefly remembering a bad memory he had with Vegeta, Gohan mentally confirms to himself he both a adult and superior than all of them before physically telling the others that he here to speak to Kakarotto. Before stating his bargain, Gohan proposes a arm-wrestling match as a form of challenge instead of fighting off the tournament. To sweeten the deal, Gohan allows all four of them to just move his hand a single inch while planning on not using Super Saiyan and stating that he is the weakest of his group. Gohan also introduces himself as a member of Universe 18.

When Vegeta refuses, Gohan catches on to Vegeta's realization of his superior might. Letting the others know that it was indeed not necessary to test him since they know he is stronger, Gohan then strikes a bargain with Emperor Vegeta: a fair fight between Kakarotto and his daughter, without sadism or death, in exchange for the secret to far greater power. Explaining that the power isn't natural, but magical which the elements to achieve it are available at the tournament, Kakarotto openly dismisses him. Without any warning and at hypersonic speeds, Gohan immediately overpowers him by pinning him against the wall, which the force alone flips over the table and surprises both Vegeta and Raditz. Despite Kakarotto becoming a Super Saiyan, he fails to move Gohan as the hybrid mocks him by calling him a mass murderer. Admonishing Kakarotto as someone who failed to do any good in his life, Gohan easily incapacitates Nappa and Raditz with a single wave of his hand without even looking. While still pinning down Kakarotto, Gohan asks Vegeta if he wants to participate, which he refuses in favor of learning more about this magic. Vegeta then agrees with Gohan's request and says that Kakarotto will abide to his demands.

Second Round: Off to the Second Round

The next day, Gohan watches Fat Buu absorb South Kaioshin, yet doesn't transform. When he tells his dad that Buu should have become more muscular, Goku retorts that Gohan seems to know a lot. Gohan then explains to Goku that Kibitoshin has told him everything since a part of Buu still lives on.

When Pan was called to fight Kakarotto, she nervously asks her father if she was going to win. Gohan merely states he does not know since Kakarotto has not shown his true powers while also having the ability to become a Super Saiyan. As Pan looks down upon herself for not being able to transform too, Gohan calmly tells her that she can once she gets over of being afraid to transform. Gohan then silently listens to Videl and Goku talking about Pan, until Vegeta arrives and talks to her. As Videl gets irritated over Vegeta trying to make Pan continue the tournament, she asks Gohan if he is going to make Pan forfeit. Gohan then tells his wife that Pan would want to fight since she is just like her grandfather and his friends by wishing to test her abilities, which is unlike him since he dislikes fighting. Gohan then watches Pan's decision to fight as Vegeta congratulates her.

Second Round: The Warrior with Murderous Madness

In the novelization of the match between Pan and Kakarotto, Gohan watches as Pan transforms into a Super Saiyan. As she forfeits and walks away, a shocked Kakarotto attacks her which causes Gohan to immediately teleport to block his attack on her. He along with the U16 Gohan and Vegeta (transformed into a Super Saiyan 2) had nearly beheading Kakarotto. Also Emperor Vegeta was seen to be holding Kakarotto back. After an intense stare-off, they agree to settle it in the ring and everyone retreats to their balconies.

Gohan then happily congratulates his daughter by holding her, which causes the alternate Gohan to smile and turn down Cell's offer for a rematch.

Second Round: The Turtle and the Golem! The Dwarf against the Giant

As Gohan was eating with his family during the lunch break, Vegeta and the others from Universe 13 arrive for "that". As Goku comically says food which irritated Emperor Vegeta, Gohan tries to play Vegeta by saying that Kakarotto went too far. As Vegeta smugly retorts that he has held up to the end of his bargain, Gohan finally caves in and tells Vegeta what he wants, along with a few warnings.

Second Round: The Hope for a Whole Universe

As Son Bra was fighting Eleim, Bra teleports away to formulate a strategy. As Uub points out that she is behind the stadium, Gohan confirms his analysis before listening to Goku and Piccolo's comments.

Second Round: XXI

Universe 18's Energy Shield

During Zen Buu's rampage, Gohan was shown to be using his incredible strength to create a force field among the warriors of his universe, to keep everyone safe from absorption. They are later saved thanks to the efforts of Gast Carcolh.

As King Cold was battling Baddack, Gohan was silently shown to be listening to Goku and Vegeta's comical discussion about Baddack being his father. As Cold launches Baddack at Universe 18 via Imprisonment Ball, Goku protects everyone by becoming a Super Saiyan 3 and creating a mighty force field to stop the impending explosion.

Second Round: Enemies Forever

During the match between Dr. Raichi and Emperor Vegeta, Gohan is shown to be highly concerned when spotting Broly among the Saiyan ghost warriors. Intrigued by this sighting, Goku even wonders if Raichi can make this Broly copy the same powers as his Universe 20th counterpart. When Broly manages to survive the Saiyan genocide by becoming a Super Saiyan, Gohan becomes visibly nervous and wonders if Vegeta will allow him to become the Legendary Saiyan despite Piccolo thinking it should be impossible.

Second Round: Corruption of the Absolute Evil

When Vegeta finally manages to get Raichi where he wanted to after becoming a Super Saiyan 3, Gohan states he is certain to win now. Unconvinced however, Goku states he is not sure. Goku's concerns are immediately realized when Vegeta violently depowers back into base form. Gohan is later present when Goten gets reprimanded by the Vargas for unintentionally helping Gast Carcolh during his fight with King Piccolo.

When Porunga is summoned, Gohan eases his father's fears of Broly returning by stating that he is trapped within his original universe.

Third Round: Buu's Escapades

Before Goku could officially began his match with Freeza, he comically fell on his face due to neglecting the new rules. Gohan then tells his father that the gravity is at 1000 G's, as Piccolo simply says "don't touch the wall". As Goku walks off, Gohan then silently listens to Piccolo and Vegeta's private conversation about this "legendary" match. Mere moments later, Videl asks Gohan on what his father meant by him saying he's won. Gohan happily explains the situation to her that they just had a mental battle.

Third Round: Facing the Opponent that made You who You are

When Uub manages to win his fight against Fat Buu from Universe 11, Gohan is seen to be congratulating him on his victory.

Third Round: Sinister Creations

While watching the match between Cell and Hildegan, Gohan senses Babidi's forces trying to kidnap Videl for leverage inside the apartments along with Vegeta, Piccolo and Goku. About to rush in with righteous fury, Vegeta stops and convinces Gohan to let Pan go alone, so that she can grow from the experience. Luckily though, Videl has managed to handle the entire situation all by herself. When Cell has managed to "devour" Hildegan, Gohan appears to be talking to his wife and daughter as Piccolo watches over them.

Third Round: The New Abilities of Fusion

During the match between Gotenks and Zen Buu, Gohan is visibly amazed when Gotenks recreates himself as a Super Saiyan 3 when his initial fusion ended.

Upon witnessing Captain Ginyu using his Body Change Special to steal Bra's body and trap her inside of King Cold, Gohan informs his tense father that Universe 16 is aware of the situation. Gohan alongside Goku, Vegeta, and Piccolo are completely horrified when Broly is summoned in his legendary form during Gast Carcolh fight against Dr. Raichi.

Third Round: All the Hatred of the World

Once Hatchiyack was unleashed and causing considerable chaos among the public, Gohan endured the machine's hate screech as Videl and Pan also tried to hang on.

Once the match is over and about to go into the fourth round, Gohan along with many others became shocked when most of the competitors vanish from thin air. Almost instantly four Majinized Cell Jr.'s surround Universe 18, putting both Gohan and Videl on guard as Bra and Videl become frightened at the situation.

With the group still trapped, Goten eventually see's their predicament after emerging from the bathroom. Once Goten attacked that made a diversion, Gohan quickly kills one of the juniors as Piccolo rescues both Bra and Videl. Goten is quickly assaulted by the Junior he attacked. As the bead body of the junior falls, Gohan subdues another while killing a second one as Goten is still being assaulted. Killing the one he had pinned, Gohan quickly massacres the one Goten was fighting to finally end their hostage situation. Ordering Goten to protect the girls as he and Piccolo will go out to hunt down Babidi, both he and Piccolo fly out to do just that.

Flying over the area of Universe 16, Gohan angerly notes that he too wouldn't be able to do a single thing if he was also an hostage. Quickly realizing that he and his counterpart was exactly the same and can react to each other instantly, Gohan fires a mighty energy wave at Cell. The blast manages to explode off Cell's tail and free Universe 16 in the process.

Flying over Universe 8, Piccolo informs Gohan to still go after Babidi as he alone deals with them. Bursting through the Universe 11 apartments, Gohan is surprised that nobody is inside.

Remaining tense within the apartment, Gohan mentally notes that Babidi is still there since his energy can be sensed, but his magic is displacing their reality. Realizing it cannot be by much since he still needs to control his men, Gohan can feel the abnormal vibrations and should be able to counter them once he synchronizes with the flow.

Finally linking himself to Babidi's inner dimension, Gohan appears only to be horrified at seeing Majin Buu trying to absorb him upon Baddack's command. Not wishing to become a victim, Gohan uses a explosive wave to repel Majin Buu before immediately rushing at Babidi. As Baddack tells Babidi to go with Plan B, Babidi hastily chants a incantation.

Suddenly appearing at the arena before Great Kaioshin, Gohan swiftly blocks a punch from Majin Buu before unleashing countless punches on him. Seeing a opening, Gohan prepares to throw a powerful left hook. Smacking Buu high into the sky, Gohan appears above him before ruthlessly kicking him back to the ground. As Buu crashes into the ground, Gohan without mercy lands on Buu by dropping a devastating punch into his stomach. With Buu completely knocked out, Gohan asks Great Kaioshin to lock Buu away as he realizes he can no longer sense Piccolo or Videl's energy signatures. Needing to end this, Gohan summons his Maxi-Kienzan technique above his head.

Throwing the attack that easily cuts into universes 10, 11, and 12, both Baddack and Babidi are stunned by it. As Baddack is killed, Babidi is suddenly saved as the disc is cut in half. Joined by his universe 16 counterpart, they both see Son Bra is now Majinized and now guarding Babidi.

As Gohan became shocked that Bra became Majinized, his counterpart flies closer to them. As Gohan tries to reason with Bra that she should be a proud Saiyan warrior who shouldn't let herself fall underneath sorcery, he then listens to her and his counterpart converse on the matter. As Gohan asks his counterpart if they really need to fight her, they both witness Bra encase Babidi in a energy barrier. When Gohan notes that she is actually obeying Babidi, something Vegeta didn't do, he listens to his counterpart speak. Realizing that Babidi has removed the good from her, they hear Bra getting excited at fighting them both.

As she powers up, both Gohan's think of a strategy simultaneously without speaking or using telepathy, When they were about to charge ahead, Gohan was viciously struct by Bra, leaving him stunned as his counterpart remained frozen on the spot. Hit so hard, Gohan flies through the wall and outside of the arena.

As the main battle progressed with additional fighters joining, Gohan secretly flies around the arena with a punch prepared to shatter Babidi's protection, which alerted Bra. As Bra intercepts, Gohan's punches her blast which causes a mighty explosion. As the area settles down and Bra notes that all of her senzu beans were destroyed, she rushes at Gohan whom desperately tries to get up. Raising his guard in time to block a punch, they both begin to vanish as Bra plans to no longer play by the rules.

Propelled back while in deep outer space, Gohan curses as Bra teleports away to leave him to his cruel fate. Knowing he needs to fly fast before asphyxiation kicks in, Gohan wonders if he'll find the area in time until a mini Cell Jr. appears in his hair. Explaining his origins and plans of motion, Gohan begins to prepare his strongest punch.

Instantly punching Bra in her temple that it actually draws blood, Gohan immediately insults the Cell Jr. for teleporting to her instead of Babidi. As Gohan gets on guard near Cell, Bra becomes more agitated at their continuing resistance. With everyone gathered, Gohan joins his allies in the sky to confront Bra together.

Still standing before Bra, he and the others witness her creating a large energy shield around herself and Babidi. Gohan is later surprised when they disappear. As they all begin to talk, Gohan receives a senzu bean from Piccolo. Gohan is quickly surprised when Bra teleports herself back to the arena.

Rushing at Bra and having his punch only hit her afterimage, Gohan's body is nearly folded in half when she punches his back. Gohan then crashes several yards away from the entire group. With his spine broken, Gohan receives another senzu bean from Piccolo and eats it. Standing again and next to Piccolo, they both witness Bra murder Nedwook.

As the fallout from his counterpart's Bending Kamehameha takes place, Gohan and Piccolo maintain their guards. Standing next to to the dead body of Piccolo from Universe 16, he alongside Majin Buu and Piccolo witness Bra charging at Gohan with intent to kill. Gohan is later stunned to see his counterpart be fatally cut down. Still in disbelief, he then watches his counterpart die before his eyes.

As Gohan watches Piccolo desperately try to give Buu's mini Cell Jr. a senzu bean to pass to Cell, Gohan is later horrified as Piccolo too dies before his eyes. As Bra mocks them all, Gohan tries to hold himself together as Piccolo's blood flies everywhere. As Gohan dryly notes that Cell too has been killed, he turns his head to Majin Buu and tells him that he the "only" one who can save Babidi and must oblige to his plan.

When Phipsil's Carbonite manages to hurt Bra, Gohan orders Buu to go out. As the djinn obeys the order, Gohan tells his Mini Cell Jr. that he will be enacting his final play and needs him to be ready for the signal. As Buu tries to absorb her, Gohan summons his Spirit Shiv and waits for the signal. When Bra blasts Buu off of her, Gohan tells the junior to teleport them both. When Bra dodges and catches his hand, Gohan remained frozen before receiving a brutal punch to his face. Appearing to be in a coma as he falls down, Bra from Universe 18 catches his body. Not responsive to anything, Bra begs him to get up as Majin Bra mocks them both.

Gohan is still seen to be unconscious as the two Bra's remain alone on the battlefield. As the competitors arrive, Pan becomes almost distraught upon looking at Gohan's death-like state. Once Zen Buu decides to fix everything, he uses his magic to resurrect the dead, heal the injured and infrastructures, and remove Majinization from the possessed. Fully restored, Gohan examines himself as his daughter rushes to his side.

With Nappa brought back around the balcony of Universe 18, Gohan appears behind him and knocks him out. Walking with Videl into the apartment, Gohan proposes to tell everything to her, but Videl declines to hear it since Buu already showed her everything. Quickly afterwards Gohan is present with Videl as they both watch all of Universe 11 get expelled from the tournament.

Fourth Round: Quarter Finals

As his counterpart and Cell get into a small banter, Gohan appears behind Cell which frightens him enough to accidently destroy part of his wall. As both Gohan's close in and Cell tries to reason them both, they both disappear to leave Cell a little tensed up from the situation. Gohan is later present with his people as Goku and Uub were about to fight.

Fourth Round: Return Match for Super Vegeta

Gohan is later present as Goku and Uub talk about the climax of their match. As Vegeta was about to face Cell, Gohan warns Vegeta that the bio-android may even be stronger than him now. However Vegeta wasn't deterred in the least. Gohan is later present when Vegeta teleports into their space to avoid Cell's destructive Perfect Barrier technique. Gohan is present again when Vegeta is declared the winner after killing Cell in their duel.

Fourth Round: Deceitful Magicians

When the Vargas chefs refuse to serve the Saiyans food any longer, Gohan pitches to the head chef on what work they can do to help fix the issue. When asked to chop carrots, Gohan does it so fast that it stuns the chef observing it. While cooking with Videl, the misuse of Trunks invention causes a explosion inside the kitchen. With everyone emerging with their clothes tattered, they have Goku plead to Piccolo to fix their clothes. As everyone became alarmed when XXI easily won against Buu, Gohan tells his universe how Buu was so easily defeated. Chiming in, Goku believes that XXI knows everyone's weaknesses. Gohan is later present when Gast Carcolh explains why Buu needs to be sent back while arresting the Great Kaioshin.

While not shown in the shot, but Gohan is mentioned by Zen Buu to be in the "God-Tier" when he proposes his own parallel tournament.

Future Events

Gohan may have possibly been shown in two of Baddack's visions, unless the foreseen character is Gohan's identical from Universe 16.

During Baddack's fight against Raditz, he sees a unconscious Gohan being held by his neck by a raging Vegetto as a Super Saiyan 2. Vegetto even claims that he will kill everyone if he has too, for reasons left unknown. During Baddack next fight against King Cold, he sees Gohan holding half a Dragon Ball and says that "as long as we have this, he wont get his wish".

As the Majin Rebellion was still in the beginning stages, Baddack envisions Gohan breaking into their dimensional threshold after several minutes of concentration. Babidi immediately commands Majin Buu to attack him. After easily defeating Buu with a single punch, Gohan kills Babidi with a energy wave and claims that the threat is over, forcing Baddack upon 'waking' up to make a strategy to prevent Gohan from winning.

Power & Abilities (Pre-Multiverse Tournament)

Super Saiyan 2 Teen Gohan

Gohan has experienced the same levels of development just like in canon. By the time Coola's armed forces invaded Earth, Gohan was training hard during the three year time period in preparation for the Androids. When the Cell Games was announced, Gohan fully mastered Super Saiyan and was the strongest fighter alive. Gohan remains both the first and youngest Super Saiyan 2 user in his universe, minus Gotenks on the latter, a fusion of Goten and Trunks. During the Buu saga, Gohan attains the Ultimate Form, propelling him to become the strongest fighter alive again unless a fusion is formed.

Coola's Invasion

When Coola and his top generals invaded Planet Earth, Gohan joins forces with Kulilin to battle against Neizu. Despite their best efforts, Kulilin was eventually defeated and Gohan remained at the mercy of Coola's soldier. It took Piccolo intervening and killing Neizu for Gohan to come out alive.

Thus Gohan, despite already possessing enough power to seriously challenge Freeza in his lower forms, remained unable to topple Neizu and was overpowered for the duration of the duel.

The Legendary Super Saiyan

By the time the Cell Games were announced, Gohan had grown more powerful and has fully mastered Super Saiyan. But when he and other warriors faced Broly in his Legendary Super Saiyan form, they were no match since Broly both became invincible and constantly had ki increases. But still able to stand to assist Goku in making his Genkidama, Gohan remained the only fighter left to fight and bravely fought Broly alone. Despite his best efforts, Gohan quickly fell and lost conscious. Gohan and the others only won due to Goku's Genkidama succeeding in stopping Broly.

Gohan was ultimately responsible of ending the terror of Bojack upon becoming a Super Saiyan 2 again.

Upon sensing the ki of Broly, believed to have been dead, Gohan immediately became tensed at the power he felt. This prompted Gohan to transform into a Super Saiyan to face this threat, still having a difficult time grasping the situation. However when the opportunity presented itself, Gohan had no issues performing a sneak attack on Broly. However once Broly uses his Legendary Super Saiyan form, Gohan fails to convince Vegeta to not engage against him since he believes that both of them are no longer a match. But upon seeing Vegeta getting defeated and Goten's poor condition, Gohan's rage ascends him into Super Saiyan2. This grants Gohan enough power to briefly overwhelm Broly in his strongest form.

But once Broly's ki doubled, Gohan was immediately pushed back. Gohan was then overwhelmed, being on the defensive as Broly wailed on him. When at Broly's complete mercy, he was only saved when Piccolo intervened to take Gohan's place. With this Gohan prepared to fire his Kamehameha. Upon firing it, which combined with Goku's Kamehameha and Vegeta's Final Flash, it became strong enough to end Broly for good once he collided against the sun.

After seeing Gohan becoming a Super Saiyan 2 and pummeling Broly, Vegeta noted that Gohan was "back to his good ol' days". Piccolo iterated a similar remark, knowing he now the strongest though knew that Broly would soon surpass him.

Throughout the violent sparring session between Goku and Vegeta, Gohan showed no outward shock to the duel while Pan and Uub remained impressed. As Vegeta fires his Big Bang Attack at the door of the chamber to test Gohan, the young hybrid was able to stop it in its tracks. With some effort, Gohan completely neutralized the attack until it completely disappeared. Gohan later gave Vegeta a ultimatum that he will kill him if he ever harms Pan again, which Vegeta relented to.

Thus at this point in time, Gohan still remained the strongest warrior, even to the likes of Goku and Vegeta.

Vegeta believes that Gohan is the strongest among everyone, which is further intriguing since he no longer needs to transform.

Salagir believes he never lost any skill during the seven year time-skip between the Cell and Buu Saga. Gohan only 'lost' Super Saiyan 2, which he can only access when he's extremely angry.

Before he trained in the Room of Spirit and Time, Gohan's vast potential still remained hidden and out of reach. Due to this, he was largely ineffective just like the others against Freeza in his Second Form on Planet Namek.

When Broly was finally unleashed, he began to attack everything indiscriminately within his reach. Despite the attacks being quite weak, they were numerous enough that prompted Gohan to act. Without wasting a single second, both he and his counterpart defended their balconies by deflecting each attack, though surprised that both of them had the same thoughts and similar actions.

Thus Gohan at this point is strong enough to successfully guard against the Legendary Super Saiyan assault, though the blasts themselves were heavily underpowered than what they could have been.

When the Broly situation got more heated, Gohan powered up to the max and ordered Piccolo to stay behind him for shielding. Once the energy collision ended, Gohan managed to protect them both with no wear on their being. This is pretty significant since the likes of Raditz, Nappa, and a Cell Jr. all nearly flatlined upon crashing into the wall from said collision.

Upon making his bargain with Universe 13, Gohan informed all four Saiyans that he was much stronger than them, which was evident that they refused to challenge him since they could sense energy. When Kakarotto refused to submit to Gohan's reasonable demands, without warning Gohan easily slams him into the wall. As both Raditz and Nappa tried to stop Gohan, with a single kiai he fell them both without truly exerting himself. Despite Kakarotto becoming a Super Saiyan, he remained unable to pry Gohan off of him, thus remaining his prisoner. When Gohan also challenged Vegeta, the Saiyan prince opted to not fight him in favor of abiding to his request and learning more about the Ultimate Form.

In the novelization during Pan's battle against Kakarotto, Gohan showed impressive speed to help save his daughter when the Saiyan decided to attack her illegally.

During Zen Buu's rampage, Gohan along with other members of his universe could create a potent energy shield together to starve off Buu's absorption mechanism.

During Cell and Hildegan's match, Gohan immediately sensed the danger Videl was in as four Majinized spectators closed in on her. Gohan was immediately about to pounce on them, but Vegeta convinced him to have Pan go in instead, though it was unnecessary since Videl easily subdued all four.

Thus by logical deduction, Gohan would have easily stopped them himself if he went in.

Gohan has shown complete horror once Broly was summoned during Gast's match. And once Hatchiyack materialized, Gohan was susceptible to the machine's hate screaming.

Majin Rebellion

Gohan subduing two Cell Jr.'s

When the competitors suddenly disappear, Gohan's guard was drop long enough to have him and his universe be surrounded by four empowered Cell Jr.'s from Babidi's magic. It is only when Goten makes a opening by attacking one of them is when Gohan is able to do anything. Immediately he kills the nearest Cell Jr. with a single punch to the head. Facing two more, Gohan easily subdues one as he quickly kills the other with a single strike.

This proves that despite having both Majinization and being born from a much stronger Cell that surpasses SSJ2 tier, Gohan still vastly surpasses them.

Gohan killing the last two Cell Jr.'s

Back to back Gohan massacre's the last two Cell Jr.'s with no issues on his part, which officially ended their hostage situation. When flying over the area above Universe 16, Gohan releases a massive energy wave in a effort to push back Cell. It was strong enough burn his counterparts back, wound Piccolo despite not being directly hit, and ultimately both wound and blow away Cell.

This shows that even with Cell's Majinization and various Zenkai's, Gohan can still easily wound him.

Gohan easily crushing Buu

During Baddack's vision, he easily sees Gohan arriving within their inner dimension and calmly facing off Fat Buu. He defeats Buu with a single punch before easily killing off Babidi. Upon encountering Buu in actuality, Gohan was strong enough to easily blow him away when the djinn attempted to absorb him. When forced to fight him after being teleported to the arena, Gohan was absolutely able to dominate in their short fight. In no time Majin Buu was defeated, leaving Gohan as the the victor since Buu was unable to continue.

Gohan Maxi-Kienzan

Gohan showed immense power when he debuted his Maxi-Kienzan. It was large enough to easily cut through three universe areas simultaneously that drew the utmost horror from Baddack and Babidi. Unable to stop it, Baddack was killed on the spot despite possessing great power of his own. And Babidi was fearful of his life despite having his barrier activated. It took Bra, both being Majinized and being Super Saiyan 2 to cut the energy disk in half, which also saved Babidi from certain death.

Gohan struct by Bra

Upon facing Bra, Gohan was initially shocked to see her become possessed since he was under the assumption she was an good willed person. He quickly learns from his counterpart that she had issues all her life. Gohan quickly became on guard when she powered up to kill them both. Despite his preparations, Gohan was instantly floored when Bra lunged at him. Having his stomach caved in, Gohan was powerless as his counterpart remained stunned by Bra's explosive power. Subsequently Gohan crashed through the wall of the stadium and landed on the outskirts of the asteroid.

Despite being injured, Gohan was healthy enough to launch a intuitive plan of action where he would attack Babidi while Bra was busy fighting everyone else. Babidi instantly became fearful, knowing his shield won't be able to repel Gohan. When Bra intercepted him, Gohan's punch collided with her energy wave which created a massive detonation.

This proves that Gohan is durable enough to survive against Bra if things work out to his favor.

As all the spectators died from the explosion besides those fighting at the arena, Goten, U18 Bra, and all the people stationed in Universe 9. Despite taking the blast head on, Gohan was able to recover quickly though was covered in wounds. When Bra lunged at him again, Gohan was able to endure a powerful punch when he cross blocked, though they both began to teleport. Propelling in deep space, Gohan was doomed to die in the vacuum as Bra immediately teleports away.

Gohan's strongest punch

Knowing he will need to locate the tournament grounds fast and travel there as soon as possible to avoid death by asphyxiation, he was saved due to a mini Cell Jr. was attached to his hair. Asked to prepare his strongest punch, Gohan does just so as they prepare to teleport to the arena. Appearing at the arena instantly, Gohan's blow was strong enough to knock back Bra and draw blood from her. Allying himself with Cell, both prepared to face Bra together as she recovered, though more agitated and battle damaged.

Thus if Gohan can gain a opening, he is strong enough to injure Bra if he uses his full power.

Gohan's back broken

As Bra became concerned over Babidi's safety, she teleports away to better protect him. This gives Gohan enough time to eat a senzu bean to replenish his strength. However when she teleports back in, Gohan was immediately alerted and prepared to battle. Despite striking at insane speeds towards her back, he hits nothing but a afterimage and fails to block or avoid her punch to his back. It immediately breaks from the impact. Helpless, Gohan crashes many yards away face first and became unresponsive. With his spine broken, Gohan was only revived by eating another senzu bean given by Piccolo.

Gohan's final attack

Gohan largely remains on the sidelines afterwards. Still standing next to Piccolo, they both witness Bra murder Nedwook in cold blood. They were helpless in helping Piccolo's counterpart after he was killed. Quickly afterwards, Gohan and others witness his counterparts death by Bra, making Gohan horrified by what he was seeing. Soon afterwards Gohan sees his universe's Piccolo die before him, which makes the hybrid disgusted by the action. And once Cell died, a powerful asset on the team, Gohan convinces Majin Buu to fight for them for one last plan. As Buu tries to absorb Bra, Gohan creates his Spirit Shiv and plans to skewer her via instant transmission at the right time.

Gohan defeated and caught by Bra

Teleporting before Bra at near-untraceable levels of speed, Gohan's final attack was caught by Bra. Shocked to be caught as Bra remains merciless, she easily punch's Gohan's head which both knocks him out and kills his mini Cell Jr. Appearing to be in a coma, Gohan is completely unresponsive and falls down to the arena, only to be caught by 'good' Bra. He doesn't respond when 'good' Bra tries to wake him up, which leaves Majin Bra to mock them both openly.

Thus despite giving it his all, Gohan is ultimately no match for Bra when she uses her full strength.

Gohan's coma state

When the situation deescalates, Gohan still remains to be in a coma. When the competitors arrive back, Pan broke down in tears when she believed that her father was dead and gone. Gohan was only restored back to normal levels once Zen Buu uses his magic to fix everything and everyone up. Quickly afterwards Gohan knocks out Nappa to have a private discussion with his wife about the recent events.

Tournament - Fourth Round

In a effort to intimidate Cell, both Gohan and his counterpart coordinate their efforts to surround the bio-android. Cell attempted to reason them both when they succeeded in surrounding him. This heavily implies that when together, they surpass Cell.

Fourth Round - Statements

When Vegeta was about to face Cell, Gohan warns him that the bio-android may be even stronger than him now.

Zen Buu considers Gohan to be in the "God-tier" of warriors when proposing his own parallel tournament.

Author Statements

Salagir confirmed that the reason Gohan wasn't participating in the tournament is due to the fact that Gohan simply hates fighting. However Salagir greatly hinted that both Gohan and Piccolo will both play a part in the action later in the comic, despite not being competitors. This is proven true once Babidi's rebellion takes effect on the masses.

Gohan and his counterpart from Universe 16 are equals in every way.

Traits

Scientific Knowledge: Gohan possesses a large understanding of physics and how it applied to reality. Thanks to it he immediately understood that Vegetto's Super Saiyan 3 form has the same mass as the moon and gravity akin to an black hole.

Ki Sensing: The ability to sense powers from afar by just using one's own mind. Gohan uses this in his pursuit to locate Goten and Trunks during Broly's Second Coming.

Extreme Speed & Hand Coordination: When assisting the Vargas chefs with food preparation, Gohan was able to cut a giant pile of carrots in record speeds.

Enhanced Durability: When Trunks machine explodes while helping the Vargas, Gohan was able to comically weather it out despite his clothes getting ruined.

Enhanced Strength: Gohan has a phenomenal level of physical strength at his disposal. When negotiating with Universe 13, Gohan easily subdues Kakarotto with strength alone. During the Majin rebellion, he kills all four Cell Jr.'s with a single strike each. While hunting down Babidi, Gohan easily shatters the door connected to the Universe 11 apartments.

Techniques

Flight: The ability to levitate by manipulating one's ki. Gohan has used this many times over the course of his life.

Telepathy: The ability to communicate through one's mind alone. Gohan uses this to speak with a tiny Cell Jr. attached to him in outer space.

Kiai: An invisible push of ki that used to send the enemy flying. Gohan used this to easily incapacitate both Raditz and Nappa.

Energy Punch: Upon coating one's hand in energy, it can greatly augment the power it delivers. Gohan uses this as his surprise attack against Son Bra during the Majin rebellion.

Ki Blast: Bursts of energy that can be fired at various intervals. Gohan used a One-Handed Full Power Energy Wave on Cell to help out Universe 16. In one future Baddack saw, Gohan uses this to successfully kill Babidi.

Energy Shield: A powerful field of energy that protects the user. Used during Zen Buu's rampage to protect the members of his universe.

Explosive Wave: Mighty discharge of energy that comes out from the whole body. Gohan uses this to deflect Majin Buu from absorbing him.

Kamehameha: Powerful azure energy wave that can deliver massive damage. Used against Cell and Broly from his own universe to destroy them once and for all.

Maxi-Kienzan: Upgraded variant of the Kienzan where it several more times larger that can cut multiple opponents at once. Was used in his attempt to help kill Babidi.

Spirit Shiv (Unnamed): Akin to the Spirit Sword, the user generates a energy blade over there hand, only the reach is much smaller. Was used as his final ploy to help defeat Majin Bra.

Ultimate Form

Gohan's permanent Ultimate Form

The permanent state Gohan has acquired after getting all his dormant potential released from Old Kaioshin's divine magic. From the ritual Gohan's appearance didn't underwent any drastic changes, essentially looking normal though the facial features have became more defined.

Being in this state for two decades, Gohan has been blessed with several benefits. Gohan will forever remain in his prime no matter how much time passes, thus he will never lose any power. Gohan can sense the lingering effects of other magics used around his vicinity. And a plethora of 'inconveniences' have been removed like needing to transform [thus saves Gohan on energy cost, strain, or time to power up], rage inducement, and can virtually fight at Super Saiyan 3 levels all day long.

After acquiring it to fight Majin Buu in DBZ, Gohan been in this form for most of his on-screen appearances in DBM. Gohan has used it to battle Hildegan, challenge Vegeta, resist Broly, subdue Universe 13, resist Zen Buu, kill four Majin Cell Jr.'s, injure Cell, defeat Majin Buu, kill Baddack, and to fight against Majin Son Bra.

Transformations (Former)

Due to the acquirement of his Ultimate Form, Gohan has become permanently unable to use his other transformations due to the magic he's received from Old Kaioshin.

Oozaru

If the Saiyan looks at the Full Moon with their tail still intact, they can absorb 17 million units of Blutz Waves to becomes a titanic ape possessing greater power. In DBM, the user's power multiplies by two-fold. So far in remains unseen in DBM by Gohan though he used it twice in canon. Regardless, Gohan had difficulty controlling his transformations, though once talked to he quickly began to regain his mind.

Super Saiyan

Super Saiyan Gohan

The legendary Saiyan transformation that multiplies one's capabilities by fifty-fold. It was achieved during his training in the RoSaT with Goku in preparation to face Cell. Gohan is one of the few Saiyans confirmed to have complete mastery of this form. When transformed, Gohan gains blond hair, blueish-green eyes, slightly increased muscularity, and a golden aura that pulsates at an higher frequency.

In DBM, Gohan was shown using it against Broly during his two separate confrontations.

Super Saiyan 2

Super Saiyan 2 Gohan

Gohan was the first person to unlock this transformation in his universe during his grand battle with Perfect Cell. When in this state, his power multiplies by an additional ten-fold from SSJ, which ultimately multiplies his power by 500x from base. When in this state, only minuscule changes occur such as only possessing one hair bang and gaining sterner facial features. Most notably however, the aura now has bio-electricity circulating within it.

So far in DBM, he has been shown to use this form during his battle against Broly in his second coming. While unseen, he also used it against Bojack. According to Salagir, at least during the Buu Saga, there no real proof that he used this form when charging at Spopovich while torturing Videl, against Dabra, against Fat Buu, or when he pulled out the Z-Sword. The only real proof was when he displayed it against Kibito during the tournament. Salagir reiterated a portion of this statement again that Gohan never used Super Saiyan 2 when pulling out the z-sword, but was merely using the regular Super Saiyan state.

During Gohan's entry into Universe 11, Majin Buu was supposed to absorb Gohan once he infiltrated the hidden dimension. If successful, Buu would have made radical changes along with presumably gaining a much higher intellect. Physically Buu would inherit Gohan's business shirt, possess five fingers, and attain a much larger and longer head tentacle. The rest of his physique remains unchanged.

But due to Gohan's quick reaction, this absorption remained unrealized.

Power Cap

Since the user is at their absolute maximum potential for life via Ultimate Form, they can no longer get stronger in any way, shape, or form since they're 'at their top' physique, plus extra.

Super Saiyan Form Shortcomings

Despite losing access to his Super Saiyan transformations, it is likely Gohan still suffers from permanent drawbacks from unlocking the form years ago. Gohan's overall lifespan may have be lowered after each subsequent usage due to it being a 'inconvenience' on his body. When a Saiyan is at or near SSJ levels. tails don't grow back. Attaining Zenkai's have virtually became impossible due to having Super Saiyan available. According to Salagir, Gohan must be filled with great rage to use Super Saiyan 2, which means he cannot use it willingly.

Outer Space

Unlike some entities, Gohan is incapable of freely speaking in space due to the laws of physics, thus relies on telepathy. Also he needs to breath in oxygen, which isn't possible in these conditions.

Trivia

• There is uncertainty whether Gohan was killed by Bra during the Majin Rebellion. In-universe, Gohan was unresponsive to Bra when she begged Gohan to not 'give up'. Upon coming back, Pan believed that Gohan could have been dead, which made her break down into tears. However Salagir claimed that he likely did died, which caused a small discussion on twitch. However the cover page of chapter 79 hints that he did lived. Regardless what really happened, Zen Buu's magic restored Gohan back into optimal condition.
• Based on logical deduction, since Ultimate Form brings out the absolute most from the user, it multiplies the user's power accordingly. In Gohan's case, since his strength surpasses the power granted by Super Saiyan 3, at the very least his maximum power multiplied by over 5000x from base.
• It remains unknown if Gohan can also use the Bending Kamehameha like his Universe 16 counterpart. And it unknown if Gohan will use his other iconic moves seen in DBZ for DBM such as Masenko, Masendan, Gekiretsu Madan, Super Masenko, Ultimate Masenko, etc.
• In a scrapped page of Universe 18 - The power of my elders, the interaction between Gohan and Pan is a direct reference to The Lion King.
