    — Hanasia, in "Universe 3: Puppet monster against puppet warriors"

Hanasia (ハナシア, Hanashia), more specifically Hanasia II[1](ハナシア二世, Hanashia Nisei) and also known as Queen Hanasia (ハナシア女王, Hanashia-joō), was a Saiyan from Universe 3 and the last queen of the Saiyans. She was Baddack's mate and the mother of Raditz and Kakarotto.

By her own admission, she is the "strongest of all Saiyans", though she contests this title with fellow Saiyan Gerkin. Although she maintained a leader role over the other Saiyans due to her high power level even before becoming queen, she is greatly surpassed by Baddack and Vegeta, who both become Super Saiyans, as well as Broly.

    Personality[]

While an honest warrior, Hanasia, like a typical Saiyan, is very ruthless, harsh and violent, even to her own mate Baddack, even threatening to execute Baddack if his plot to overthrow Freeza turns out to be a farce. Hanasia was also a rough and brutal mother, putting her infant son Kakarotto under aggressive training shortly after his birth to increase his power.

As Raichi's Ghost Warrior, she expressed complete loyalty towards to the Tsuful scientist and followed his every order.

    Appearance[]

An arguably beautiful Saiyan woman, Hanasia wears a unique Saiyan uniform that carries only one shoulder guard and a skirt. She is a slender woman with very long, somewhat messy black hair. Her eldest son, Raditz, possibly inherited Hanasia's hairstyle, as their hairstyles are strikingly similar.

    History[]

    Hanasia appears before Baddack

In Age 737, after the birth of her and Baddack's second son, the infant's father immediately deems Kakarotto a failure due to his scouter's scanning of his low power level, though Hanasia appears and disagrees with him, explaining to him that he shouldn't judge his combat level at birth since scouters weren't around when they were born themselves. Hanasia then reads the power level of Broly, becoming shocked when she sees that his combat power is 10,000. After Hanasia and Baddack are informed that Freeza has ordered Raditz to train and for Kakarotto to be sent to Earth, Hanasia decides to train her second son personally in order to increase his power level.

    The Rebellion[]

"Well then... Hanasia, from the Saiyan Elite."
Dodoria, in "Universe 3: The Saiyans' rebellion"

During her training with Kakarotto, Hanasia is informed through her scouter that Baddack has deposed King Vegeta and taking the throne for himself and Hanasia joins him in the rebellion against Freeza, though she is skeptical and threatens to kill him if his claims turn out to be false. Hanasia is then tasked to destroy the shields of Freeza's ship. After her ki blasts are proven to be not strong enough to penetrate them, she rams her body through the bottom of the ship instead.

Confronted by Dodoria, Hanasia fights him for a short time before she catches a glimpse at the moons that the Saiyan army had created, transforming into an Oozaru while inside the ship, destroying the top of it in the process. Joining the rest of the Saiyan army in firing a ki blast at Freeza all at once, the tyrant emperor is vaporized along with Zarbon and Dodoria.

As a result of Hanasia's training with Kakarotto, his power level went from 2 to 12 in a short time and Baddack tells her that he is not being sent to Earth.

    Saiyan Tournament[]

Two years after the death of Freeza, Hanasia works under the command of her mate King Baddack and one day approaches him with a mean smirk, mocking him by commenting that the state of grace is over because she plans on stealing the throne from him tomorrow. The next day, King Baddack organizes a tournament where the winner with become the Saiyan race's new monarch.

Hanasia takes part in the tournament, entering the semifinals and defeating Gerkin. She then enters the finals and her final opponent is the young former Prince Vegeta. Before the match, Baddack orders Hanasia not to kill him for the sake of the Saiyan empire's future, and she reluctantly agrees.

Hanasia then fights Vegeta and wins with relative ease, winning the tournament and becoming crowned the Queen of the Saiyans.

"Hanasia, your time was up, rest in peace."
    — Baddack, in Universe 3 - The age of Saiyans

Queen Hanasia would maintain her title as the Saiyan monarch for fifteen years until Broly returned to Planet Vegeta in Age 754. Declaring his intentions to defy her for the throne, he quickly kills the Queen Hanasia much to the utter shock of the other soldiers.

    Controlled by a Puppet Master[]

"How can it be so fast? This huge thing should be slow!..."
    — Hanasia, in "Universe 3: Puppet monster against puppet warriors"

Several years after her death, Hanasia was summoned as a Ghost Warrior assigned to seal Hildegan. As Gerkin and her oldest son distract the monster, Hanasia plays the flute to seal Hildegan away. While playing the flute, Hanasia is hit by Hildegan's tail, destroying her body.

She would later kill all the Saiyans in Universe 10 under Raichi's orders. commenting on Vegeta's weakness, stating she's seen him “younger, cuter and a lot stronger”. She disappears after commenting to Universe 10's East Kaioshin that her mission is finished, returning to Dr. Raichi's command.

    Legacy[]

Shortly after Hanasia's death, Celipa would inform Baddack through his scouter of her demise at the hands of Broly, but remained unsurprised, stating he had a vision of her death long ago.

    Power[]

The self-proclaimed strongest Saiyan, at the time of the Saiyans rebellion, she had a power level of 12,000, making her the second strongest Saiyan of the time, second only only to Gerkin who had a power level of 12,500. Later, her power skyrockets when the Saiyans take over the universe. Her Saiyan genetics give her intimate control over energy. She was also strong enough to defeat Vegeta when he was a child.

Like a typical Saiyan, she can transform into an Oozaru. At the time of the Saiyan rebellion, she was a highly skilled warrior who was respected by many.

    Transformation[]

    Oozaru Hanasia

Like a typical Saiyan, Hanasia has the ability to transform into an Oozaru. The user turns into a giant ape, extremely giant-like in size, which multiplies their power by 2x. Most low-class Saiyans cannot control their Oozaru form, and usually destroys everything around them, later not remembering it. However Hanasia seems to have control over this form.

    Trivia[]

    • Hanasia's battle armor includes a skirt, as seen to the left, which surprisingly does not tear or rip even when she becomes an Oozaru, indicating a similar material to the normal battle armor.
    • Hanasia's spirit is now a Ghost Warrior under control of Dr. Raichi as seen on chapter 76 of DBM novel where she slaughtered all the Saiyans from Universe 10.
    • In Chapter 76 of the novel, Hanasia is mistakenly given the clothes she wore back before Freeza was killed, while she is later shown in the fourth Universe 3 Chapter as a Ghost Warrior wearing the same armor that Universe 3 Baddack and Raichi's Ghost Saiyans wear, with an added skirt.
    • Hanasia has battled Gerkin in the past, and Gerkin ultimately defeated her. However, Hanasia states the only reason why she lost was because at the time she was pregnant with Kakarotto.
