Universe 15: I'K'L and its mother

Universe 15 is the designation given to this universe by the Vargas of Universe 1. This universe seems to have no relation to any Dragon Ball characters and the only two characters shown from it are original creations of Salagir. Salagir has also noted that this Universe was created to show how different the universes could be.

Divergence[]

This universe, clearly, lacks any of the typical Z-Fighters. However, despite its mysterious nature, its true origin can be determined through various conceptual clues: Chapters 32, 48 and 71 identify it as one of the three "Future" timeline universes, that being the universes where Trunks never appeared, and therefore the apocalypse of the Androids occurred. The other two can be easily identified as Universe 12, where Trunks returned home safely as he did at the end of the Cell Games, and Universe 14, where Trunks never returned due to dying in Universe 17.

The "Explanation of the Multiverse" page notes that Universe 15 has only one clear candidate: it is the timeline briefly glimpsed in the series, where Trunks, returning home from his adventures in Universe 11, deactivated the Androids using Bulma's remote before being killed in an ambush by a newly-hatched Imperfect Cell. Cell promptly loaded himself into Trunks's time machine, reverted to his egg form, and traveled back to the past.[1]

The "Universes Help" page notes that Universe 15 is one where "all the strong fighters in this universe disappeared" - indeed, after Cell's journey, no canon characters of significant strength remain, being dead, imprisoned, deactivated, or otherwise unable to fight. Due to this, it can be reasonably speculated that I'K'L is essentially the only character of significant strength in his universe. It is uncertain if he exists in other universes as well, but as the rampage of the Androids never left Earth and he appears to be alien, there is no clear causal link between the two events. It can therefore be assumed that I'K'L is not particularly strong, as he appears to have been chosen more by default than anything.

Competitors[]

  • I'K'L - An unborn baby deemed most powerful fighter in Universe 15. I'K'L lost his first match against Universe 14's Android #17 by default, having not been born in time for his fight.
