    — Vegeta's rage, in "Enemies forever"

Vegeta (ベジータ, Bejīta) from Universe 13 is the prince of the fallen Saiyan race, and an alternate universe counterpart of Universe 18's Vegeta that never became goodhearted. This version of Vegeta has never met defeat and he unlocked the secret of the Super Saiyan transformation and used it to defeat Freeza. He was joined in this mission by his loyal soldiers Nappa, Raditz and Kakarotto, collectively known as the Super Saiyans.[1][2]

    Appearance[]

He wears the Saiyan armor Vegeta wore early on in the Freeza saga, appearing to be a bit more worn in with just with a red cape added. The red scouter is entirely absent. He seems to be more muscular than his canon counterpart during the Freeza Saga, likely due to years of training while being a bit more aged. However, he is the shortest of his group and lacks his tail entirely.[3][4]

During the third round, Vegeta doesn't wear his cape since it was discarded upon discovering Super Saiyan 3 against Dr. Raichi.[5][6]

    Personality[]

Vegeta is basically an non-reformed version of Universe 18's Vegeta, who even has the power to back it up (relative to his universe, although Universe 18's Vegeta far surpasses him in power). He is very vain, haughty and arrogant. Achieving the Super Saiyan transformation caused his already-inflated ego to increase immensely. He is also ruthless and kills without mercy. After his first match, Vegeta is induced with a supposed mental trauma after having been transformed into a woman, but his taciturn personality seems to overcome this. In the novelization, Vegeta is shown to have a softer side of himself, pondering and even smiling at the thought of having a family, like his Universe 18 counterpart. He also seemed have gotten wiser over the years and respects his counterpart for his power.

However, Vegeta's true personality is one of a sadistic and cold-blooded killer and is revealed in his fight against Raichi. He casually slaughters his ghost versions of his Saiyan race and family, shown when he blew the head off of the ghost Saiyan warriors, even his cousin without any remorse, though he was initially hesitant to do so.[7][8] Vegeta is also somewhat insane, as he sadistically pummels a ghost version of Kakarotto, though this is seen has him venting his frustrations towards his underling of his universe. Ironically, his arrogance and toying with his opponents was what led to his downfall.

He looks down on Kakarotto, leaving him to bleed out instead of healing him when he has a life-threatening injury. Vegeta from Universe 18 remarks that he is what he would be like if he had not found inner peace on Earth. Suggesting that despite all, this Vegeta is still haunted by his demons and not completely satisfied with his life. Vegeta from Universe 18 considers him inferior and Vegeta wonders if he meant that there was a better outcome possible for him.

Just like his comrades, Vegeta believes that without Freeza and his empire, they would have remained small, harmless gorillas just like Universe 10. Even if the tyrant did destroy their planet, it was more like a blessing in disguise. And if Vegeta had to choose between a nation of hundreds of thousands of warriors, living sadly on one planet, or just four strong warriors and lordship of the universe, Vegeta would easily preferred ruling over the universe to mere reign over Planet Vegeta. But despite developing plans to expand his kingdom, but this tournament had shattered those plans. He was nowhere near strong enough to do anything, leaving just the options to flee, abandon his dreams and go home.[9]

When asked by the organizers on what would be his wish, Vegeta wanted all of the 'weak' to be eliminated. This made Dr. Raichi from Universe 3 thirst for revenge at such evil.[10] This ties in to Vegeta's earlier comments about his disgust for the Saiyans from Universe 10,[11][12] or the Saiyans from Raichi's universe.[13] Due to these statements and his belief that the universe only belongs to the strong since the weak have no right to exist,[14] Vegeta is a firm believer in extreme Darwinism. This is a stark difference in wishing priorities where he wanted immortality as a wish when venturing to planet Namek many decades earlier.[15] Nonetheless Vegeta's genocidal views is seen with disgust by the Kaioshin, viewing him in the same light as Freeza.[14] Trunks from Universe 12 also recognizes Vegeta's genocidal qualities in a negative perspective.[16]

Vegeta has a great sense of pride and self, which can arguably be seen as his greatest trait. It so strong that during Gast battle against Raichi, Vegeta was visibly angered that an exact copy of himself was summoned to serve the Tsuful scientist. To make matters worse, Vegeta hated the fact this ghost didn't possess his glorious red cape, a symbol of kingship and dominion in his mind.[17] Even Babidi was mindful about Vegeta's sense of pride to not Majinized him since he could easily rebel against him.[18]

    History[]

Vegeta has the exact same life as his counterpart from Universe 18, up until Raditz ventures to Earth to attain Kakarotto for assistance.

    Childhood[]

    Vegeta Childhood

Vegeta at various points in his youth

At various points in Vegeta's early life, he was cared for by his cousin, taught military academics by his father, and trained in ki control by Gerkin.[19] In addition Vegeta was also taught about the glories of the Saiyan race by his father, having his first training sessions, engaging in his first massacre, and instilling in him a proud sense of being a prince who had a grandiose future ahead of him.[14]

Just like his Universe 16 counterpart in Age 737, Vegeta at one point talked to a Saiyan woman and asked if she was supposed to deliver. When she confirmed and he asked that he thought it was supposed to be difficult, she scuffs at it before continuing her training, leaving Vegeta speechless.[20]

    Nappa Incident[]

About thirty-two years ago (around Age 761-762), Vegeta along with Raditz and Nappa left the command center of Freeza's ship after talking to the frost demon. As Nappa fumes on how they will be able to attack Planet Helior in three days since they still have their current missions to perform, Vegeta, also upset, believes that Freeza is laughing at them. When Raditz proclaims that he can get some help, bringing up Vegeta's curiosity, he states that his brother is probably still alive on a planet with weak powers. Despite Nappa protesting me hay be worthless since he had a power level of two, Vegeta thinks he may still be useful if brought along. Telling Raditz he and Nappa will finish their current mission in two days and expects Raditz and his brother to attack Helior with them, he orders his comrade to leave at once.[21]

As Raditz goes in his pod to carry out his mission, both Guldo and Reacum appear to greet the Saiyans in a mocking tone. When Vegeta mocks Guldo that he would never survive against a conquest on Helior, Vegeta quickly shoots down Reacum's assumption that he is mad that he not part of the Ginyu Force. But upon witnessing the argument between Nappa and Reacum intensifying, Vegeta sees his comrade easily being overwhelmed and struggles to keep his pride in check at the humiliation he is witnessing. About to intervene, Freeze intervenes by ordering them to stop. Forced to comply, Vegeta watches Freeza take the two Ginyu Force members with him as the Saiyan prince glances at Nappa before leaving him behind to pick himself up.[21]

    Two Brothers[]

At Age 761 in this universe, Vegeta and Nappa were told by Raditz (who on Planet Freeza 54) via scouter transmission that he picked up Kakarotto from a destroyed planet Earth with its humanity utterly wiped out. But before they could properly meet, Vegeta tells Raditz that they shall arrive less in a year to help defeat Planet Helior.[22][23]

    Dumb and Dumber[]

    Vegeta Arrival

Vegeta arrives to the destroyed Planet Helior

In Age 762,[24] Vegeta and Nappa finally arrive on Planet Helior, but with the entire population and infrastructures destroyed. As Wigner was nonchalantly killed by a single stomp, Vegeta begins to angrily yells at the two Saiyans for destroying everything on the planet.[25] As Kakarotto downplays the seriousness of the situation and states that the planet is ready for sale, Vegeta berates him by pointing out "What is there left to sale?".[26]

    Public Enemies No.1[]

    Vegeta Loyalty

Vegeta “kills” Kakarotto and pledges his loyalty Freeza

Still in Age 762, Vegeta is angrily seen yelling at Raditz that Freeza will enter a fiery rage for ruining Helior. As Kakarotto dismisses both Vegeta and Nappa's words, the Saiyan prince notes that two disobedience issues in a row will guarantee their demise.[27] When Kakarotto notes about his plan to abuse Zenkai, Vegeta dryly informs him that they are already aware, but it time to seek a audience with Freeza, just him and Kakarotto. They both later stand before Dodoria, Zarbon, and Freeza, with the frost demon being highly displeased.[28] When Vegeta agrees with Freeza that such insubordination is the fault of the Saiyans, he cruelly decapitates Kakarotto since he cannot behave. Standing over to what he believes is his corpse, Vegeta vows to amend their blunders by killing Raditz and Nappa as penance for their flaws. Wishing to remain a loyal servant of Freeza, Vegeta hears Freeza's agreement as he walks away. Talking to Nappa via scouter that where is Raditz, the bald Saiyan informs him that he doesn't know, but likely training. Vegeta orders him to find him and return to their place within one hour.[29]

    Vegeta Galick Gun

Vegeta killing Dorobado and challenging Lord Slug

With a hour passed with Vegeta marching into the room to see Raditz and Nappa, he is shocked to see Kakarotto alive and well. Finding it impossible, Kakarotto informs him that he is immortal. Enraged, Vegeta demands to know how he got such a ability, but Raditz tells him that he shall explain everything on route before Freeza loses his patience.[30] Traveling into the SG Sector since Freeza's army always manages to get pushed back, Vegeta and his allies abandoned their capsules, changed transportation, and modified their clothing to remain as discreet as possible. Eventually Vegeta heard Kakarotto's entire story, Vegeta was skeptical about the existence of Dragon Balls, but hears Kakarotto and Nappa about it.[31] When Kakarotto informs everyone that the Dragon Balls no longer work on Earth, Vegeta muses outloud that going to Earth will be detrimental since Freeza will just figure them out. When Raditz comes in and Vegeta asks him on what he learned, Raditz tells him that his informants master wants to see them. Several days later at a more isolated but militarized zone, the Saiyans discuss that too many high power levels are around to protect the master before Angila arrives to greet them.[32] Inside the palace of Lord Slug and his strongest henchmen, Vegeta quickly pummels Kakarotto for his rash decision to touch a holographic dragon ball. When Kakarotto attempts to answer Lord Slug's question on how he knows about the dragon balls, Vegeta once again pummels Kakarotto before telling Slug to give them information first, otherwise the negotiations will be less painful.[33] With Slug's henchmen growing excited and with Raditz telling Vegeta to calm down since they are stronger than them, Vegeta and co. get into defensive stances when they were assaulted.[34] Dodging a kick from Dorobado and punching his back to make him smack into the floor, Vegeta kicks him away while simultaneously ripping off his wings.[35] Disgusted by his opponent, Vegeta uses his Galick Gun to kill him before flying through his ash cloud on a collision course for Lord Slug.[36] But before he could touch the Namekian, Vegeta was blasted by a powerful finger beam from the emperor.[37] Vegeta is later seen defeated as Slug's men prove victorious in battle.[38] When Kakarotto manages to removes Slug's mask, Vegeta is surprised to see Slug as a Namekian himself.[39]

    Vegeta Dream

    Vegeta wishing to become immortal

Thrown into prison, Vegeta confirms to Raditz that he can easily break free from the chains if he wished so. Hearing Raditz telling them that they shall discreetly escape once their fully healed since the strongest soldiers never come around, later on Vegeta hears Kakarotto screaming in his sleep. Asking Raditz if he does this alot, Raditz confirms that he does.[40] Stating that it time to break free, a small henchmen from Slug arrives and frees the Saiyans. Asking him why he is helping them, Vegeta hears that he is a slave and only wishes to be drop off back to his home planet.[41] Listening to the small alien that they need to be quiet to reach the spaceships since guards will still be around to sound off the alarms, Vegeta is immediately stunned to see Kakarotto becoming a massive Oozaru.[42] As Kakarotto is rampaging, Vegeta is running away with the others before killing a Slug soldier with a ki blast and telling Raditz that he going to kill Kakarotto when all of this is over with.[43] Managing to get into a spaceship and taking off, Vegeta hears out from Nappa that the dragon balls are linked to the Namekians, Grinning, Vegeta states that their new destination is Planet Namek and will get stronger once they gain the dragon balls there. Vegeta also likes it when the alien informs them that their flight is hidden and the Namekians have no technology to detect them.[44] Feeling great from their good fortune, Vegeta notes that nobody will now be able to stop them from getting their wish for immortality.[15]

    Future Events[]

The Saiyans then proceeded to Planet Namek, where they where somehow able to discover the Super Saiyan transformation. In this Universe it was Vegeta who defeated and killed Freeza.[45] Subsequently Vegeta then became able to rule over the entire universe for many years.

Most likely Vegeta and the other the Saiyans went on to kill King Cold and Coola to take over the entire Planet Trade Organization.

At some point Vegeta and men will encounter Cyborgs, Cell, and Broly.[46][47] Vegeta has also encountered 'magicians' in his life of war and conquest.[48] Nonetheless one of these events lead to Vegeta unlocking Super Saiyan 2, which was debuted on-screen during the second round of the Multiverse Tournament.[49]

At some point the Vargas approached Vegeta and his comrades to join the Multiverse Tournament in Age 794.

    Multiverse Tournament[]

    Arrival[]

When the cyborgs of Universe 14 arrived to the tournament shortly after his own Universe 13 just came, Vegeta was mocked by Android 18 openly from the get go. Internally questioning on the statement that she and her brother toyed with him before killing him, Vegeta knew they couldn't be 'that strong' compared to him, but was still perplexed that she knew his name right off the bat.[50]

Several hours before Trunks battled against Coola, Vegeta approached Freeza and taunted that he was a Super Saiyan. This left Freeza wondering if he was telling the truth or was trying to scare him.[51]

First Round: Lots of Old Foes Here[]

Vegeta was first shown to be idly standing with his comrades from his universe balcony as Trunks from universe 18 observes the surrounding stadium.[3] According to Trunks and Goten, Vegeta had a look that conveyed utter disgust and rage while looking at his left. The reason why he had this look remains unknown to them.[52]

When Goku manages to easily defeat Mahissu from Universe 10, Vegeta comments that the "lowlifes" are beginning to understand how outclassed they really are.[11] When Goku returns back to his universe's balcony, Vegeta approaches them long with Kakarotto and Nappa. After telling Goku he has met the "pathetic" version of the Saiyans, Vegeta tells him that they are "the Super Saiyans" with him being the "future winner of the tournament". Vegeta continues to add in that Universe 18 is the closest to them since they have a "Kakarotto" despite his ridiculous clothes, along with a Namekian, making him conclude that they had a difficult time against Freeza on Namek.[12] After silently listening to Piccolo, Goku, and Kakarotto querying about their differences, Vegeta happily proclaims that he fought and destroyed Freeza on Namek, largely thanks to discovering the secret to the Super Saiyan transformation over there. After asking Universe 18 on how they fared against Freeza, his counterpart scuffs that they did better before leaving, though points out he killed Nappa back on Earth. When U18 Trunks states that the U10 Saiyans will be severely disappointed in their upcoming fights, Vegeta gleefully states that he would love to kill Freeza a second time. Gohan joins in on the conversation, telling Vegeta that back in their universe it was Freeza who killed him.[45]

In the novel before Vegeta revealed his desire to kill Freeza a second time, he stopped Raditz from attaching Piccolo since he was upset he was killed in Universe 18. After Gohan tells Vegeta that he was killed by Freeza in universe 18 and Vegeta mocks Kakarotto for being a father in a different universe, both Trunks and Bra comically express to Vegeta that he is their father, thus shocking the Saiyan overlord greatly. Realizing that the Saiyans will go extinct if he and his men don't have offspring, Vegeta orders his men to return with him back to his balcony as the announcer prepares to start the next match.[53]

First Round: Two Universes in Bad Luck[]

During U10 Nail's battle against U8 Reacum, Vegeta pridefully expresses that Nail's attack wasn't strong enough to defeat Reacum.[54]

When Trunks defeated Coola, Vegeta was being spied on by Android 16 for reasons left unknown.[55]

Vegeta was seen once again when his universe 10 and 18 counterparts were fighting, with the 18th incarnation expressing that Prince Vegeta is a version of himself who has yet to find inner peace.[56] Hearing this along with Nappa and Raditz inquiry, Vegeta answered Nappa that he would tell his counterpart from Universe 10 that 'he' would find him more classy due to his armor and to tell his counterpart to get rid of the beard.[55] When U10 King Vegeta uses his power ball technique to create his fake moon, Prince Vegeta sternly tells Raditz and Nappa to close their eyes, lest they want to transform as well.[4]

First Round: Two Giants Face to Face[]

When Kakarotto threatens to hurt Kat even more despite winning, Vegeta intervenes before he could punch her. After telling him that attacking her could get all of them disqualified, Vegeta sternly tells Kat that she should think twice before turning on a pervert.[57]

First Round: The Lunch Break we've all waited for[]

During the lunch break, Vegeta along with his subjects greedily devoured their plates.[58] When Raditz asked Vegeta if he was enjoying their fights so far, the Saiyan prince told him that the Saiyans from Universe 10 were insects. When Raditz got mad at a statement Nappa made, Vegeta told him he too sentimental, hence why he never became a Super Saiyan yet. Starting to no longer pay attention to his comrades, particularly Nappa and Kakarotto since his own victories were far more important, he began thinking about Trunks from Universe 12, someone he knew was his alternative son that managed to easily beat Coola. Smiling and briefly imagining his life where he settled down and fathered children, Vegeta began thinking about the words from his counterpart and started theorizing on what was important for him. Realizing the massive difference in status between them, Vegeta thought how undisciplined and weak his children were before staring at the cyborgs at Universe 14. Remembering how they 'greeted' each other before the tournament started, Vegeta focused on watching them eat at their balcony space.[50]

When Vegetto was called to fight against Broly, Vegeta points out that Vegetto seems over confident, his forehead locks are ugly, and ultimately looks like nothing. Kakarotto also expresses his dislike towards Vegetto as well.[59]

First Round: The Terrifying power of the Legendary Super Saiyan[]

When Kakarotto questions why Broly may have a problem with him or not after seeing his reaction against Goku and Vegetto, Vegeta said nothing while pondering about it. While finding the situation strange, Vegeta realized there will likely never be a answer for it unless they asked Universe 16 and 18 for answers, though doubts they may provide it, let alone being necessary. Vegeta then begins to think about Goku's Super Saiyan 3 transformation. Later when Vegetto uses his Big Bang Attack on Broly, Vegeta notices that it won't do much to Broly, but wonders who exactly is Vegetto since he used a technique that similar to his own, let alone having the same name. Quickly Vegeta questions who Broly is and is glad to not have faced him since he is much weaker compared to the Legendary Super Saiyan.[60]

When the battle gets more intense and upon seeing Broly augmenting his strength to overwhelm Vegetto as a Super Saiyan, Vegeta's smirk from his doubts about Vegetto turns to a horrified jaw-drop when witnessing Broly's legendary strength.[61] Having a hard time believing his own eyes, let alone following their movements, Vegeta could still feel the power of their impacts and darkly realized how much weaker he is to them.[62] When both warriors smash their fists together, Vegeta is visibly shocked from the subsequent explosion as Nappa attempts to shield his eyes.[63] As both warriors hold their ground before Broly uses his Eraser Cannon, Vegeta verbally mutters how great their power is, nearly in a stupefied trance from the brawl.[64] When both combatants release their signature techniques, Vegeta is forced to use his Super Saiyan form at the potential calamity about to unfold.[65] Vegeta then embraces for impact as Nappa remains shunned in the effort to resist the explosion caused by Vegetto's Big Bang Kamehameha and Broly's Eraser Cannon collision.[66]

    First Round: Vegetto's Last Resources[]

When the smoke finally clears away from the colliding energy attacks, Vegeta, still a Super Saiyan, has managed to stay planted to the ground alongside with Kakarotto, though Raditz and Nappa are embedded to the wall.[67] When Vegetto is declared the winner, Vegeta, no longer transformed, is astonished by his power, calling it "unbelievable".[68]

First Round: What's left of a cyborg without Humanity[]

As the Vargas repair the arena for the next match, Vegeta is disappointed in Nappa's attitude for wanting to leave the tournament since the bald Saiyan believes that everyone is outclassed now, even Vegeta when compared to Vegetto or Broly.[69]

When Kakarotto yells at Mary Sue to bear his child, Vegeta tells him to shut up.[70]

First Round: Saiyans, Nameks, and other Demons[]

    VegetaAgainstSyd

Syd, using Gender Eye on Vegeta

"Pfu, is that enough? Do you forfeit, or shall I wait 30 seconds?"
    — Vegeta, against Syd, in "Saiyans, Nameks and other Demons"

Upon being called for his match, Vegeta is forced to challenge Syd from Universe 6.[71] Disgusted that she cannot even stand in the gravity, Vegeta asks if if that is enough and should she just forfeit or he simply waits thirty seconds to pass up. But caught off-guard from her Gender Eye technique, Vegeta asks what is happening to him as steam is escaping from his body. However Syd rises, now a man who begins to mock Vegeta.[72] Transformed into a fully authentic woman, Vegeta is told that their powers are now even and will now suffer from severe psychological trauma due to being in a body he not used to. Preparing to end the 'princess', Vegeta still remains to be in shock.[73] Charging at Vegeta to deliver a ruthless kick, Vegeta easily blocks it while making fun of the psychological impact. Not caring he now a girl, Vegeta punches Syd in the stomach before kicking his opponent away.[74] Noting it always the same with these 'magicians' while kicking Syd painfully, Vegeta playfully tucks some hair behind a ear while mocking magicians with their self-absorbed tricks. Picking Syd's head up by the hair like it a turnip. Vegeta demands to have his powers restored for real opponents. When Syd begins the reverse procedure, Vegeta calls her a good girl as the transformation takes effect.[48] Fully restored by being back in his original male form as Syd struggles to resist the gravity, Vegeta ruthlessly disintegrated Syd with an energy blast, making him the winner of his match and causing great despair for Syd's friends.[75]

Vegeta is later seen having dinner with his teammates.[76]

    Goodnight's Sleep[]

Sitting down on a chair as his comrades are doing their own thing in the vicinity of the apartment, Vegeta is taken out from his thoughts upon hearing a knock on the door.[77] Seeing Gohan enter with Vegeta asking him who gave him permission to barge in,[78] Vegeta grows a bit more impatient and tells Gohan to answer his question. Vegeta then sees Gohan taking the initiative to sit down and propose a arm wrestling match for a simple exchange in return.[79] Telling Gohan sternly that he or his men won't be playing his games, Gohan reveals his purpose of coming while rubbing it in that he stronger than everyone in the vicinity. When Kakarotto refuses to Gohan's request to fight fairly against Pan, Vegeta witnesses Gohan violently pinning Kakarotto to the wall.[80] When Gohan asks Vegeta if he wants to take part of the fightign after effortlessly defeating Raditz and Nappa, not including still pinning down a Super Saiyan Kakarotto, Vegeta calmly declines and states that Kakarotto will adhere to his request. Vegeta then asks more about this magic that made the half-Saiyan so powerful.[81]

Second Round: Off to the Second Round[]

When his counterpart defeated Trunks in his match, Vegeta informs his double that Kakarotto is a true pain in the butt when asked how he was.[82]

Second Round: The Warrior who used to run Amok[]

In the second round where Kakarotto is set to fight against Pan, Vegeta warned his henchmen to remember the deal made between them and Gohan by having no bouts of madness. Irritated, Kakarotto tells Vegeta that he can control himself, something Vegeta quickly shoots down as false.[83] Later, when Pan forfeited the match after becoming a Super Saiyan, she quickly calmed the mad Kakarotto down, much to Vegeta's surprise.[84]

Second Round: The Turtle and the Golem! The Dwarf against the Giant[]

During the lunch break after Tapion defeated Kulilin, Vegeta, accompanied by his loyal soldiers, dropped by at Universe 18 to remind Gohan about the deal between them, which was that in exchange for Pan's survival, Gohan was to divulge the secrets of his "unlocked" abilities. When Gohan tries to argue that Kakarotto went too far, Vegeta tells him that she was fine and he must stay true to his promise. Serious, Gohan begins to explain that the Old Kaioshin from Universe 9 would grant them the ritual to become stronger infinitely, on the condition that they must be nice to him, much to Vegeta's disbelief.[85] He then turned to the Old Kaioshin, but the Old Kaioshin, knowing of the evil in the Saiyans' hearts, refused, much to Kakarotto's fury.[5]

    Second Round: XXI[]

    Vegeta Losing

Vegeta being overwhelmed by Majin Buu

When Majin Buu begins his rampage, Vegeta quickly gets on guard as the djinn's body begins to spread everywhere.[86] Most of Universe 13 seem to be trapped, so Vegeta reveals the ability to transform into a Super Saiyan 2, but this still leaves him struggling against the djinn's powers.[49] Later on, teamed up with Bra who was in the first Super Saiyan state since she was a being stronger than him and was a good strategy move, intervened Gohan's forced battle against Cell with Bra killings the two last remaining Cell Jr.'s. Now in the ring and knowing that facing Buu by himself would be the end of him, Vegeta got mad at Bra's insult towards him when she began to argue with Gohan. Threatening her with physical harm, Gohan tells them to stop since Buu is a bigger priority. When Cell, amused by the spectacle, extends a hand to Vegeta and asks him to join him to kill Gohan and Bra as he takes his place as the second most perfect being in existence, Vegeta laughs in his face before speaking with a mixture of pride, rage, and honor that he takes orders from no one since he is both royalty and the super elite. Refusing to bow in submission ever again in his life, Vegeta exploded in rage while telling everyone that they had no ounce of pride in their souls. Igniting his aura, he immediately flew towards Buu to engage in combat against him. Firing a burst of blue energy that pierced through Buu's torso, Vegeta followed up with two blows to his face along with a knee strike. Questioning if he was even hurting the djinn, Vegeta witnessed Buu creating four ghosts from his body before grabbing him. Unable to fight the little creatures off, Vegeta was flown rapidly downwards before slamming against the arena, where they proceeded to glue him to it. Gohan attempts to save Vegeta, but Cell intervenes.[87]

However, Gast Carcolh saves everyone by using a technique that causes all of Buu's constituents to be gathered together into a ball, in which he is trapped.[88] Though unseen and unwritten, Vegeta eventually powers down and joins with his comrades back in his balcony before Cold battles against Baddack.

Second Round: The Fight of the Fathers[]

The moment Baddack was eliminated due to his great injuries caused from his fight against King Cold, Vegeta mocked both Baddack and Kakarotto by calling them low class warriors. Vegeta then easily blocks a punch from behind without even turning around, which was thrown by a mad Kakarotto. Calling Kakarotto a idiot since his actions can get them eliminated, Raditz intervenes and apologizes on his brothers behalf.[89]

When called for his battle against Dr. Raichi, Vegeta grins at the opportunity.[90]

    Second Round: Enemies Forever[]

    VegetaRageU13

Vegeta's rage during his second battle

"You, the psycho! You, the bore! You the walking disaster!! I haven't had this much fun in years!!"
    — Vegeta, showing his very sadistic nature, in, "Enemies forever"

In the second round, he faces Dr. Raichi from Universe 3. Flying to the arena without hesitation, Vegeta began facing the Tsuful and realized that he wasn't touchign the rign yet. Despite wishing he could attack immediately and without mercy, Vegeta understood the rules and decided to throw insults to create banter between them.[14] When Vegeta asks that he is the Tsuful who is responsible for killing all the Saiyans in his universe, Raichi asks Vegeta if that makes him mad. But before he could finish that his anger means nothing, Vegeta cuts him off and says he did well, shocking Dr. Raichi. Vegeta tells Raichi that the Saiyans from his Universe deserved to be wiped out, since they were weak enough to be defeated by a Tsuful, in response to which Raichi says that his savagery was precisely the reason why all the Saiyans were killed and why he plans to get rid of all the remaining ones, via the tournament's Dragon Balls. When Vegeta tells him that he is in trouble since he killed the overlord who killed most of the Saiyans in his universe, Raichi shows Vegeta his power to generate ghost warriors, as Freeza, Coola and King Cold all appear before him in their final forms.[13] Amused as the Frost Demons rush at him by Raichi's command, Vegeta transforms into an Super Saiyan 2 while proclaiming that he surpassed these warriors a long time ago. Vegeta then easily evades a punch from Coola.[91] Throwing a brutal punch in Cold's face that makes him bleed heavily, Vegeta then quickly destroys King Cold with another punch, causing him to disappear as Vegeta mocks him.[92] Licking his lips sadistically, Vegeta turned to the brothers and explained his happiness that he can kill them, especially Freeza a second time.[14]

Seeing both Freeza and Coola powering up, Vegeta mocks them as they began to change.[93] Slightly surprised that both of them can use the first augmentation transformation,[94] Vegeta easily stops their charging attacks with a finger despite throwing their strongest blow. Callign them pathetic and a waste of time, Vegeta slammed them together before throwing them away. When they got back up, they created Tsubi Kienzan before hurling them at Vegeta. Skillfully dodging them with his arms crossed, Vegeta stepped on each disc with a foot to mock them before kicking Coola in the face. But having his leg grabbed by his tail, Vegeta was rewarded by being thrown towards Freeza whom elbowed Vegeta in the face. Thrown in the path of the two discs, which made Raichi happy, Vegeta grinned before stopping himself mid-air and used a Explosive Wave to destroy both discs and close to hitting the two frost demon ghosts. When Raichi summoned his energy shield to protect himself, Vegeta mocks him by calling him a coward.[14] Vegeta then sees them combining their power for a mighty energy wave.[94] Easily catching their fired energy wave, Vegeta sarcastically asks them if that all they can do.[95] Using his Final Garlic Cannon, which easily killed Freeza and Coola simultaneously, Vegeta mocks Raichi and requests for more opponents, though the scientist asks him if he can do the same to his own people.[96]

Summoning ghost warrior versions of his entire Saiyan race, Vegeta remains stunned to see his father, cousin, and former teacher before him.[97] Vegeta then begins to have deep flashbacks as Broly is waiting in the back of the crowd.[19] When Raichi begins to talk about nostalgia, Vegeta's ruthlessness gets the better of him and casually uses Dirty Fireworks to decapitate his cousin. Laughing manically, Vegeta kills both his father and Gerkin with a single strike each.[7] Easily killing an Oozaru with a energy wave, Vegeta is laughing until someone grabs his shoulder calmly, which makes Vegeta grin.[98] When Nappa calmly asks Vegeta if he now enjoying killing off his own kind, Vegeta without hesitation effortlessly slaughters Nappa and Raditz with his Dirty Fireowrks technique. Locking onto Kakarotto, Vegeta revels in his psychopathic side as he grabs Kakarotto's throat before hysterically beating him to death, making Vegeta note he hasn't had this much fun fighting in years while being covered in Kakarotto's blood.[8] When Vegeta playfully notes that Kakarotto is already dead, Vegeta begins to kill off multiple Saiyans back to back.[99] When the rest charge after him, Vegeta releases a mighty Super Explosive Wave while wishing away all of the worthless fools from him.[100] As the Super Explosive Wave obliterates them all,[101] Vegeta believes that all are dead, though Riachi points out that one survived which is nobody else but Broly, whom managed to transform into a Super Saiyan. Vegeta plainly looks at him, calling him the Legendary Saiyan.[102] As Raichi monologues about his ghosts while Broly powers up, Vegeta tells the Tsuful that Broly isn't invincible until he goes into the Legendary state. And while it true he is a powerful Saiyan, he is only in the first form as Vegeta roars his aura to life.[103] Easily killing Broly with a single punch before he could ascend and telling Raichi that it not that complicated, Vegeta witnesses Raichi summoning each dead candidate from the tournament while stating that everything is going according to plan.[104]

Not phased by the motley crew before him, let alone Syd's pitiful threat of making him into a girl again, Vegeta quickly uses a Exploding Wave that has the ghosts either cower in fear or brace for impact.[105] With Sauza, Syd, and Butta dead, Vegeta laughs at Raichi that these are his strongest ghosts before easily dodging Tidar's Gods Blade technique.[106] When Bojack and Zangya attempt their Energy Bonds attack, Vegeta lazily lifts up his arms and kills them both simultaneously with casual energy waves.[107] Greeted by Pan, a powerful Super Saiyan in her own right manages to successfully punch Vegeta in the chin before using Taiyoken. Blocking the effects by closing his eyes in time, he grabs her throat before mocking her that he has already seen this technique before.[108] But to Vegeta's great misfortune and horror, it was all bait as Pan sacrifices herself to get cut in half, allowing Vegeta to have a similar fate as his gut gets cut deeply and losing plenty of blood.[109]

Second Round: Corruption of the Absolute Evil[]

Coughing up blood as his stomach erupts even more, Raichi tells Vegeta that his ghosts have no reason to fear death. To Tidar's horrified surprise, Vegeta survives the slash as Vegeta is on one knee telling Tidar that since having to slice through two Super Saiyans meant that the attack was cushioned by Pan's body. As Tidar readies himself up to do another "God's blade", Vegeta blasts him apart with his "Vegeta's blade".[110] Finally facing Raichi, Vegeta proclaims that even being as injured as he is now, he can still defeat Raichi with all of his pawns now destroyed. However, Vegeta had carelessly overlooked his strongest opponent, Cell Jr., whom laughs to catch his attention. As Cell Jr. powers up his aura, Vegeta curses in rage as Raichi proclaims it is over for him.[111] Missed hitting Cell Jr. with a cross chop, the miniature bio-android mocks Vegeta before proceeding to brutally pummel the injured Saiyan to the ground. Trying to get back up, Vegeta is in disbelief that a powerful emperor such as him was ridiculed by a pipsqueak like this.[112] Knowing he has not tapped into the full potential of the Saiyan race since there is better, Vegeta begins to think about the Super Saiyan 3 transformation used by Goku, Gotenks, and Vegetto along with the Mystic form used by Gohan. Recalling the humiliating memory of when Old Kaioshin refused to unlock his power, Vegeta's anger breaks through his wall of limits, erupting in power that vaporizes his own cape.[5] With supreme changes taking effect, Vegeta finally transforms into a Super Saiyan 3 at last.[113] Calling himself 'Hyper Vegeta' much to the various reactions among the spectators, Cell Jr. cowers in fear before Vegeta appears behind him and easily kills him with a single hand swipe.[114]

Rushing at Raichi while telling him it over, Vegeta easily breaks through Raichi's energy barrier and knocking the Tsuful back.[115] Now on the ground and completely helpless, Raichi is at Vegeta's mercy as the Saiyan prince prepares to finish him off. Unfortunately a combination of his wounds, the high power output of Super Saiyan 3, as well as his inexperience with the form had taken their toll, and Vegeta violently regresses back to his base form.[116] Raichi seizes his chance and manages to summon one final ghost in reserve, Vegeta himself, from Universe 3. Exhausted and fatally wounded, Vegeta stands helplessly as his counterpart, who too had achieved the first Super Saiyan transformation and plans to finish everything in style.[117] Vegeta is then killed by his counterpart by a mighty energy wave, leaving nothing behind as Raichi smiles at his victory. Upon seeing Vegeta die, Kakarotto turns to Raditz and Nappa who look on wide in shock and gloats on being the only one remaining in the tournament of their universe.[118]

He was later revived by the Dragon Balls at the conclusion of the second round. When inside of his apartment along with his comrades, Vegeta was leaning against the wall in total silence with his arms locked. Incredibly angry from Kakarotto's incessant mocking before he went to sleep, Vegeta had a conversation started from Raditz and informed him and Nappa that they are staying to the very end of the tournament. Wishing to see Kakarotto get humiliated by his counterpart from Universe 18, Vegeta also wants to observe the other Saiyans in the hopes of copying additional powers that may be up for grabs.[119]

    Buu's Escapades[]

When morning came with Kakarotto being very happy that he almost appeared unstable, Vegeta along with Raditz and Nappa watched him with a weary eye. Boasting that he's in top shape and everyone should be grateful that he still in the game, Vegeta frowned with disapproval and repressed a grunt. Sensing it, Kakarotto vowed to avenge him, though mocked that he lost in a embarrassing way. Telling Vegeta that he been grumpy since he died and it okay to call him 'Emperor' if he wanted to, Vegeta without warning exploded his aura and used the maximum potential as a Super Saiyan 2 to grab him by the throat and slam him into the ground. Despite Kakarotto also becoming a Super Saiyan, he was completely helpless to Vegeta. Continuing to power up while yelling, Vegeta became a Super Saiyan 3 and let go of Kakarotto's throat, knowing he was incapable of doing anything against him in this state. Ridiculing Kakarotto since he only capable of demanding a child from a helpless girl or beating up little children, he alone has faced entire populations, or defeated enemies vastly stronger than Kakarotto himself. Knowing that the luck of the draw allowed him to progress so far in the tournament, Vegeta told him that he looks forward to see him get dismembered by all the spectators, most of all by his own counterpart. Demanding Kakarotto to get out of his sight, Vegeta released the energy that was pinning Kakarotto down. Feeling like a slave once again, Kakarotto got up silently and walked to the door while cursing underneath his breath.[120]

When Goku was about to face Freeza, Vegeta and his crew watch Goku ascend into a Super Saiyan and face the illustrious frost demon.[121] Vegeta and his allies were seen again when Goku broke free from Freeza's illusion technique.[122]

Third Round: Facing the Opponent that made you who you are[]

Having his life restored by the Dragon Balls, Vegeta is shown watching the fight between his Universe 18 counterpart and Kakarotto. He is slightly surprised when Kakarotto suddenly regrows his tail and begins the Oozaru transformation.[123] But when Kakarotto begins to turn into a Golden Oozaru, Vegeta is utterly stunned and shocked alongside with Raditz and Nappa.[124] After listening to both Raditz and Nappa speculate about U18 Vegeta's strength, they ultimately witness the beginning the the match commencing.[125]

    Third Round: Sinister Creations[]

    Bejita13

Vegeta talking about Old Kaioshin with Raditz

"No, leave him be, I prefer him like this."
    — Vegeta asking that Kakarotto remain unhealed, in "Sinister creations"

After Kakarotto is declared the loser and appearing to be knocking on death's door, Raditz helps him out of the ring and places him by Vegeta in their universe's balcony. As Raditz tells Vegeta he is going to visit the Old Kaioshin, Vegeta annoyingly tells him "why not" since he has developed his diplomatic talents well to make up for his weak strength. When a Namekian healer arrives to assist Kakarotto, Vegeta refuses to have Kakarotto healed, stating that he "likes him better that way."[6]

As the battle between Cell and Hildegan intensifies, Kakarotto suddenly jolts himself awake, which leaves a very disappointed Vegeta stating that he is already conscious and how much of a pain it is. Cursing Vegeta out, Kakarotto gets healed before he immediately goes off to find Raditz.[126]

Third Round: The new Abilities of Fusion[]

When the lunch break was finally announced, Vegeta wonders where are his Saiyan comrades at while eating a bowl of ramen noodles.[127]

    Third Round: Drop the Act[]

Vegeta is later greatly shocked and angered upon seeing a ghost version of himself generated by Raichi as a SSJ3.[16]

Third Round: All of the Hatred of the World[]

With Gast Carcolh success in winning his match by killing Hatchiyack, Vegeta, largely immune to the Tsuful android's previous screaming, walks over to Universe 12. Tapping a weakened Trunks on the head, Vegeta ordered the boy to get up while looking down on him. Telling Trunks to man up since he is his son and shouldn't make a scene like the other weaklings here, Trunks aggressively tells him that he isn't his father and pales in comparison from the one in Universe 18. Openly mocking his counterpart since he struggled against both Kakarotto and from these screams with disdain in his voice, Vegeta reminds Trunks that he still has the seed of royalty within his blood and better do well remembering that the next time he acts like a 'coward'. When Trunks was about to explode with rage, Android 16 came and grab Trunks by the shoulder to calm him down, but Vegeta began walking away while telling Trunks that he is a Saiyan and his son, so start acting like one. Left speechless, Trunks began to think that despite his genocidal tendencies, he possesses a certain level of nobility and his pride was foremost, so having a 'son' that could become a Super Saiyan was desirable.[128]

    Babidi's Plan[]

Later during the tournament, when Babidi executes his grand plan, Vegeta along with several other competitors from other universes are transported onto a faraway planet to be prevented from interfering with the alien wizard's scheme. Appearing several yards away from Babidi's spaceship top, Vegeta is in a air of poisonous gas.[129] Thanks to Gast's magic, Vegeta is able to easily breathe again while avoiding guaranteed death.[130] As it is, most of those transported are pure-hearted, which makes Universe 16's Pan and Trunks wonder why Vegeta was teleported with them despite being evil, moderately annoying him almost in a comical fashion.[131]

    Budokai Royale 2: Supersonic Blast[]

Growing irritated and refusing to help since it should be him pulling the shots, Vegeta's Universe 18 double sternly tells him that he doesn't have to participate, but he better withhold his comments. Vegeta then yells at his counterpart that he doesn't listen to followers and asks where his pride is at. His counterpart then tells him that he is playing dumb just to be different and wouldn't be proud of that in today's age. Starting to grow heated, Vegeta tells him that if he was still a proud monarch then it would be him giving the orders as his counterpart approaches him and tells him that the plan is good and can tell that his counterpart only wants him to bark contradictory orders just to be noticed.[132] Growing angry as his counterpart tells him that what he would do since he weak to the need to be recognized, Vegeta asks him if he wants to see how 'weak' he is, which his counterpart openly admitted that it would be humiliating for him. Triggering his counterpart that he knows he cannot use Super Saiyan 3 like Goku, they appear to be ready for combat before the counterpart backs down since it not the place for it. But to each mutual's collective shame, they then realized that others are watching with Buu proposing to make a ring for them.[133]

    Powers & Abilities[]

    Pre-Namek Saga[]

Back in Age 761, Raditz noted that Vegeta is ten times stronger than he or Kakarotto is before the attack on Planet Helior.[23] At this point Vegeta wielded a power level of 18k, the same he had in canon around this point of time.[134] This level of power was proven when he was able to easily decapitate a weakened Wigner on Helior,[25] decapitate Kakarotto while knowing he can easily kill Raditz and Nappa as well,[29] overpower Kakarotto for several attempts at insubordination,[33] and easily kill Dorobado who had a power level of 10k.[35][36][134] But against Lord Slug who had a power level of 100k,[134] Vegeta was defeated in a single attack.[37][38] Though unsaid, Vegeta likely gained a Zenkai boost from his lost against Lord Slug.

    Namek Saga[]

While it unknown how exactly the events played out, but Vegeta eventually discovered the Super Saiyan transformation and used this new power to kill Freeza.[2]

    Tournament - First Round[]

This Vegeta is considered to be more powerful than Kakarotto from his Universe even though they both can turn Super Saiyan. This is reflected in Vegeta himself since he claims himself to be the future winner of the tournament.[12] And after Goku's victory against Mahissu, Vegeta notes that the 'pathetic' lifeforms are beginning to learn their place, highly suggesting he sees many contestants as inferior to himself.[11]

When in the same state, Vegeta was able to easily restrain Kakarotto when he was battling Kat.[57] This highlights the gap of power between them.

During Broly and Vegetto's battle, Vegeta was absolutely shocked by the power used by them, especially Broly's legendary strength.[61] And as it continues, Vegeta is in a stupefied trance at just how great they are.[64] And when both used their signature techniques, Vegeta was forced to become a Super Saiyan and guard against it, though he was one of the few people in the tournament to withstand their shock waves, something Raditz, Nappa, and even a Cell Jr. failed to do.[65][66][67] This highly suggests that when Vegeta is a Super Saiyan, he is stronger than a Cell Jr. that likely has power comparable or even greater than the ones summoned in the Cell Games in Age 767 in canon. Nonetheless Broly and Vegetto completely outclass Vegeta in every way. And when Vegetto defeated Broly as a Super Saiyan 3, Vegeta found that power to be completely unbelievable.[68]

When going against Syd, Vegeta was utterly disappointed by her lack of power to even stand in the gravity. But despite having been turned into a girl,[72] which noted by Syd should deliver severe psychological impact along with making their powers 'even',[73] Vegeta was able to easily best Syd with a few blows in 'her' base form.[48][74] Once back into his original gender, Vegeta effortlessly killed her with a ki blast, earning his victory.[75] Ultimately Syd was no match for Vegeta in his base state, even when he had his power reduced and hers increased.

When Gohan tried to contest against Vegeta which the Saiyan prince refused, Gohan openly admitted that he was stronger than Vegeta, something Vegeta didn't try to retort since he could sense his vast power level.[80]

    Tournament - Second Round[]

During Buu's rampage, Vegeta revealed the ability to become a Super Saiyan 2 and was one of the few able to fully resist capture.[49]

During his fight against Dr. Raichi, Vegeta shown great mastery over the Super Saiyan 2 form to the point where he can easily defeat powerful individuals back to back. This includes the Frost Demon clan (King Cold, Freeza, and Coola) in their original and first augmentation states,[92][96] many elite Saiyan warriors (his cousin, King Vegeta, Gerkin, etc),[7] Oozaru Saiyan,[98] alternatives of his 'comrades' (Raditz, Nappa, and Kakarotto),[8][99] and even Broly transformed into a Super Saiyan.[104] And upon challenging the contestants, Vegeta easily kills Syd, Butta, and Sauza effortlessly. Tidar's attacks were also unable to hit Vegeta, showcasing his agility and reflexes.[105][106] And when Bojack and Zangya attempted to attack, Vegeta easily killed them with a interception blast before they could even touch him.[107] Pan was unable to truly hurt Vegeta nor best him with Taiyoken,[108] and was able to endure Tidar's God's blade technique, though heavily injured, while having enough power to easily kill Tidar.[109][110] However, in his injured state, he was outclassed by Cell Jr., which was noted to be his equal before being injured.[111][112] Pushed to the breaking point during his battle with the ghost Cell Jr., Vegeta broke the barrier and transformed into a Super Saiyan 3.[113] As a Super Saiyan 3, in spite of his near fatal injuries, he was able to swiftly dispatch Cell Jr. with a single swipe.[114] And despite Raichi summoning his effective energy barrier, it was easily dispelled by Vegeta's physical force.[115] However do to a complex combination of his inexperience with the Super Saiyan 3 form, its high energy consumption, injuries, and not including his arrogant behavior (by not defeating Raichi when he had the chance), it greatly limited his time in the form before ultimately turning off against Vegeta's will.[116] Vegeta was then killed shortly by his counterpart from Universe 3, also a Super Saiyan.[117][118]

    Second Round - Statements[]

Buu considered Vegeta to be among the 'strongest' warriors alongside Cell, Freeza, and Dabra since he was able to evade the first wave of his imprisonment goo.[135]

Vegeta openly stated that the likes of Buu and Bra greatly surpass him at this point in time. This was proven when Vegeta was easily incapacitated by Buu while being unable to injure him as a Super Saiyan 2.[87]

The Vargas were nervous about Vegeta's Final Garlic Cannon as a Super Saiyan 2 since it was strong enough to greatly weaken the energy shields when struct. They feared that if multiple attacks of that magnitude, or stronger continued, it won't last throughout the tournament.[14]

Vegeta's counterpart was impressed with his Final Garlic Cannon since it a combination of two of his own moves, especially that it was pulled off with just one arm. However he still believes he is superior and thinks that Cell appeared bored from his match against Raichi so far, heavily implying that the bio-android is definitely stronger than Vegeta at this point.[14]

    Tournament - Third Round[]

According to Vegeta when witnessing his counterpart from Universe 18 about to battle Kakarotto, he has received a Zenkai that increased his power after his death battle against Dr. Raichi.[136] Thus Vegeta is even more powerful than before, though his new limits remain untested currently.

    Third Round - Statements[]

While Vegeta himself hasn't fought in this round, but his ghost appeared to fight on Dr. Raichi's behalf as a Super Saiyan 3. He was strong enough to easily repel Gast Carcolh with a kick, a opponent easily capable of killing a SSJ2 level Cell Jr.[16] This Vegeta later was seen to be able to battle against Gast evenly until Broly appeared.[137] However Gast believes he was still superior to this version of Vegeta, which was proven when he slowly started to win when he became completely serious. Nonetheless both Gohan and Zen Buu compared this battle to their own after he absorbed Gotenks, despite Vegeta's inability to fully utilize or easily manage Super Saiyan 3 even though he is a ghost.[17]

    Traits[]

Vegeta possesses great strength since he was confident he could escape from his restraints despite not being fully healed after battling Lord Slug.[40]

Like all Saiyans, Vegeta is gifted with Zenkai and was aware of it long before meeting Kakarotto.[28] So far it was seen once to gain stronger after being resurrected from his death battle against Dr. Raichi.[136]

Vegeta can easily handle 10 times and 100 times normal gravity in base form with no adverse effects.[13][72]

    Techniques[]

Flight: The ability to levitate by manipulating one's ki.[36][107]

Ki Sense: The ability to read energy levels from far away. Vegeta did this to scan Gohan's levels when he came during the night before the second round.[80]

Deadly Impact: A lethal punch that usually delivered inside the abdomen to murder the opponent. Used to kill both Ghost King Cold and Ghost Broly in the second round.[92][104]

Ki Blast: A powerful blast of energy that can be charged at various intervals. Used many times over Vegeta's life to kill opponents such as a Lord Slug soldier,[43] Syd,[75] Ghost Saiyan,[99] Ghost Oozaru,[98] and both Bojack and Zangya simultaneously.[107]

Dirty Fireworks: A powerful, usually fatal attack where the user points at the target before making them implode from the inside-out. Used to decapitate the Ghost of Vegeta's cousin,[7] and later Ghost Nappa and Ghost Raditz in the second round.[8]

Exploding Wave: A burst of energy that usually creates a massive explosion at the intended target by lifting two fingers. Vegeta used a unique variant by waving his arms to kill Ghost Syd, Butta, and Sauza in the second round of the multiverse tournament.[105][106]

Explosive Wave: A omni-directional burst of energy that intended to strike everything around the user at a certain proximity. Was used to dissipate two Tsubi Kienzan's and nearly close to injuring Dr. Raichi and Ghosts Freeza and Coola.[14]

Super Explosive Wave: A mighty omni-directional discharge of energy that can wipe out everything around the user. Vegeta uses this to kill all of the remaining Ghost Saiyans but Super Saiyan Broly in the second round.[100][101]

Vegeta's Blade: A cutting energy disk that functions identical to a Kienzan. Used to kill Ghost Tidar in the second round.[110]

Chain Destruco Discs: A barrage of cutting disks that can slive through almost anything. While Vegeta himself hasn't used this, his ghost did this against Gast during their battle.[138] So by default Vegeta should be capable of the same feat.

Power Ball: A unique supplemental blast that when expanded, creates enough blutz waves to initiate the Oozaru form. Vegeta hasn't used it yet in the series, but it was taught to him by his mentor Gerkin when he was still just a child.[14]

Galick Gun: A powerful purple energy wave that can be lethal and serves to be Vegeta's signature attack. Used to kill Wings during a visits at Lord Slug's palace.[36]

Big Bang Attack: A destructive energy sphere that can cause catastrophic damage. Used against Ghost Cell Jr. in the novel of the second round.[139]

Final Garlic Cannon: A very powerful energy blast that is casually fired from one hand. Used to obliterate Ghost Freeza and Ghost Coola in the second round.[96] U18 Vegeta claims in the novel that this is a combination of two of his own techniques, though what they are exactly remains unknown.[14]

    Transformations[]

    Super Saiyan[]

    Main article: Super Saiyan

Vegeta attained this form during his battle against Freeza on Namek, eventually killing the tyrant during the struggle.[45] So far in the comic he only used it to protect himself during Vegetto's battle against Broly.[65][66]

    Super Saiyan 2[]

    Main article: Super Saiyan 2

Vegeta attained this form at some unknown point. He has so far used it twice in the comic version of the Multiverse Tournament when attempting to stop Universal Buu from absorbing him and in his battle against Dr. Raichi and his Ghost Warriors.[49][91]

In the novel Vegeta used this a few more times, such as to pin Kakarotto down when he was showing insubordination.

    Super Saiyan 3[]

    Main article: Super Saiyan 3

Vegeta attained this form after being badly injured by Ghost Tidar and Cell Jr., using his rage and the knowledge that he had not reached a Saiyan's true potential to break through the threshold and achieve the ascended state.[5][113] At this level he refers himself as "Hyper Vegeta".[114]

Despite using it once in the comic so far, his ghost counterpart used it in his fight against Gast Carcolh and Vegeta himself used it in the novel to both restrain Kakarotto and to battle against Vegeta from Universe 18.

    Transformations (Former)[]

    Oozaru[]

    Main article: Oozaru

The ability to turn into a giant Oozaru with a power increase of two-fold.[134] Vegeta can no longer use this form due to not possessing his tail by the time of the Multiverse Tournament.[4] Has yet to be seen used by Vegeta at any point in time.

    Female Form[]

This state was briefly achieved when Syd used her Gender Eye technique during their match.[72] Despite suffering from a supposed psychological breakdown and having a substantial power decrease that makes them 'even',[73] Vegeta was still able to easily defeat Syd within mere moments. Vegeta quickly reclaimed his former might and gender, thus permanently losing access to this gender swap state.[48][74][75]

While not shown in the actual comic, Vegeta is apparently still capable of transforming into a Super Saiyan at least in a nightmarish hallucination.[140]

    Tournament Battle[]

    Round Result Opposent Type Notes
2 LOSS Raichi Killed Vegeta is killed
1 WIN Syd Killed Syd is killed

    Trivia[]

    • Vegeta's younger brother from canon, Tarble, doesn't exist in DBM.[141]
    • In the Polish and French versions, Vegeta said a polite "please" to the Namekian healer in page 1103 (only post-Majin U18 Vegeta will say this). Since this Vegeta is not reformed, let alone has a heart of stone, the reason for this is unknown.[142]
    • There was a artistic mistake regarding Vegeta's shoes early on in the first round. While all other iterations of Vegeta appearing has shoes identical to what his counterpart wore early on in the Namek saga, on page 44 he has the golden tip design Vegeta was seen wearing in the Android and Buu sagas.[11]
    • There was another artistic mistake where he was drawn with a tail despite no longer possessing it.[143]
    • It remains unknown if Vegeta developed certain iconic techniques some of his counterparts created such as Final Flash, Atomic Flash (Final Impact), Final Explosion, etc. However he likely knows some other techniques his counterparts knew in Age 762 such as Galaxy Breaker, Shine Shot, Lucora Gun, Final Crash, etc.
    • While it highly likely Vegeta has fully mastered the first Super Saiyan form (fourth grade), he likely hasn't achieved the Second or Third Grade intermediate states of Super Saiyan. This includes Golden Oozaru, which the only living user in the Multiverse Tournament was Kakarotto. And due to Old Kaioshin from Universe 9 refusing to unlock his potential, the 'Ultimate/Mystic' state also remains out of reach. And of course, due to not being the Legendary Saiyan that born every 1000 years, Vegeta lacks the Legendary Super Saiyan form entirely
    • Since the stories told in Dragon Ball GT or Super aren't canon to DBM,[144] the possibility of Vegeta attaining or knowing about Super Saiyan 4, Super Saiyan God, Super Saiyan Blue, Super Saiyan Blue Evolution, and even fusion states is highly unlikely. This includes techniques seen in either series such as Final Shine Attack, Spirit Control, Spirit Sword, and Gamma Burst Flash.
    • Though unseen and yet to be told as being true, but there a possibility that Vegeta and comrades faced Meta-Coola if they did needed up defeating him but he survived the encounter.[145]
    • There is a strong possibility that Vegeta encountered his universe's version of Broly.[47] However he never encountered Bojack and his men since they remained trapped,[146] Dr. Raichi since he disappeared after Freeza destroyed Planet Vegeta,[147] and likely Hoi and Hildegan since Hoi dies in most universes alone.[148]
    • It remains unknown if Vegeta ever encountered Babidi and his forces at some point.
    • While witnessing his counterparts battle against Kakarottoo, Vegeta thought about applying the Ultra Super Saiyan trick to his Super Saiyan 3 form as observed by Trunks during his fight. However, Vegeta knows that it will take time and training to fully master it.[136]

    46. Dragon Ball Multiverse - Ouv (main U13 special artist) message: Page 1697 [A lot of ideas have been thrown on the Google Doc for the cyborg/Cell saga. Several cool possibilities, but this is still at the brainstorming stage. Salagir has ideas for the Cyborg part. I'm pushing for a U13 time-traveling element. Nothing decided yet
Drawing Wise : I finished this chapter (obviously). I started and will finish soon the intro to the next one. I will keep being involved in the story and Story-boarding. It is not certain I will draw it till the end. My professional career as a comic-book artist is doing well and I must focus on that part. I won't draw the Cyborg/Cell part. Post Cyborg/Cell : I have submitted a story for the Broly part. I love it (of course). Salagir is not convinced. It is still on the Google Doc, so I keep hoping lol I will probably draw it as a "bonus storyboard" if it is rejected. But the truth is, there is no real need to make more Specials U13 after the Cell saga : the characters will be where they need to be for the main story Tournament. Extra Specials will only be done if some really cool ideas allow for a great read]
